  1. You've gotta be kidding me. That is absolutely ridiculous for not permitting a disabled person to enter a divine room. This frustrates me! I have a disabled cousin and if I heard something that stupid coming from the committee you can bet I wouldn't stand for it. Some people these days, stupid in the head. Sorry - Sunny
  2. Daljeet veerji told me on MSN about some program going on at new years. I believe there is a bus leaving from Dixie gurdwara to a homeless shelter in Toronto, where clothes and food will be distributed to homeless people. If you know where I can find more info please reply! Thanks Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ka fateh - Sunny
  3. Thank you for the insightful response. Gabroo Khalistan Dah, learn to behave like a true Sikh - respect for other people then I will deal with you. Also refrain from getting too excited when typing your messages. Perhaps write out what you want to say on paper and then type it her eon the message board. THanks. KHalistan Zindabad!! - Sunny
  4. *L*.. Malton is alright man .. I've been there.. I've met some pretty safe Sikh families there. It's j ust the youth there, the "gangs" and such. Honestly, I wouldn't want to raise my kid there.
  5. There's only one person in Sikh battle history that killed an entire village of people except for one family. Other than that I don't see any other incidents where Sikhs killed innocent people. Someone give me a history lesson here if possible. - Sunny
  6. Fateh, Brother, WTC and 1984 are NOT the same scenario. Americans did hit them hard, but they did not bomb villages housing innocent Afghani women, children, and men. They simply drove out the regime that was responsible for the attacks. The Air India incident involved innocent people. - Sunny
  7. Good job Sunny!! Convicting those 2 Singhs based on what you've heard in the media, Even before the Canadian Justice System has made a decision. Waheguroo! You must be a real Bhramgiaanee. Fateh,
  8. What makes one individual a revolutionary or a terrorist in the eyes of society ? In 1984 we were looked upon as terrorists by the Indian government and perhaps by other people in the world, yet in our own eyes we saw figures of 1984 as revolutionaries. Where is the line drawn ?? Can you please relate it to Sikhi. - Sunny
  9. Why are you winking at me ? Anyways.. Does the guy always have to be older than the girl? Or can the girl be older then the guy? Remember this question is directed towards Gursikh's only
  10. If someone is a good Gursikh, does he/she have to take age into consideration for marriage? What about the age of his/her potential partner?
  11. Malton ? Oh man, that's one place I would not want to live in!
  12. Awesome!! I want to be a pilot. When I do become one I will do that exact same thing! Waheguru
  13. "Again my question is this: are all the other religions wrong?...misled?...why are there so many differences in religious beliefs, since there is only One God anyway? i would love to hear your views on this matter." We are in no position to say that other religions are wrong. We cannot judge other religions like that. As Sikhs we should respect other religions. By respect I mean realize that another religion exists. Let other people believe what they want to believe! There is only one God and the way I see it, most religions praise this one God. The only differences are how we praise this God and our traditions, customs and beliefs (ie. what happens after we die). To a Muslim man, Sikhism could be seen as misled and wrong in his eyes. To a Sikh man, we could see Christianity wrong and misled. Either way, members of each religion think other religions are misled. So which is the right religion? The degree to which your faith lies in Sikhi makes Sikhism the right religion in your own heart.

  15. What happened to my comment "keep on your kacha bacha, acha?""
  16. This forum is about "freedom of speech" and expressing one;s own views. At our Gurdwara there is a devoted Singh who lectures every Friday to a group of young people. This man is truly crazy sometimes. He'll lecture from the heart and not use the brain on some occassions. He has been known to yell out words such as "*hit"or """" in the gurdwara in front of the microphone. Was he being rude? Maybe, but he was speaking from the heart. SOmetimes we get emotional and don't think rationally. All we can do is ignore the rudeness and try to understand what that person is trying to say. . - Sunny
  17. There is such something called "love" in this world. Your appreciation for Sikhi, your devotion to Sikhi, your adherence to Sikhi teachings is essentially love for your own religion. That funny feeling I get in my heart when I participate in simran is love for our Guru's. Lust is a negative form of love.
  18. Okay, I admit I swear everyday atleast once by saying the "s"word. What's funny is that I know 5 amritdhari guys who are well versed in Sikhism and they swear uncontrollably. This is sad because they are amrit, and thus should act like amritdhari's with respect to their choice of vocabulary. But, swearing is a part of everyday life. If you accidently drop something on your foot are you going to yell out ""waheguru waheguru?" No, you are most likely going to yell out some PUnjabi/English swear word. The most common choice of word for this type of scenario is probably the ''s" word. This brings another interesting point. When you are amritdhari you are not neccessarily a "full" amritdhari because most of them do swear in one way or another.
