  1. (please read all!) as khalsa sikhs, we can marry anyone. : D but, that person has to believe in and practice gurmut. thas it. those ppl that aint, reely lookt at gurmut, they will go for other ppl that are like minded. soo.. not much can reely be done about this. apart from learning gurmut. its like ppl that go and sleep around, they will get with other like minded ppl. its all what we put our mind on. and our guru guides us in saying go towards gurmut and move away from the 'up n down' nature of our own hearts and minds. the moment we use our own hearts n minds, we get stuck in duality. and presonally, i think that this is where the origional poster is stuck in. move away from what u think u shud do, and go to gurmut n implement that in ur life - ...is what id say to u if u were to ask me for advice.. on one hand we have preet, pyaar, prem etc, and on the other hand we have kaam, chunchal, moh etc.. so.. it all depends on how define this 'love' that u say u have. there is only 1 true type of love - prem etc. anything n everything else gives doublemindedness. i describe true love to be the relationship between parent and child, brother n sister, and the feeling of 'aww!!' wen u see the cutest lil kid . lastly, if u decide to go towards gurmut, and ur 'other half' dont, what then ey :| . c u gurfateh :L:
  2. fateh, as far as things go, fact was he was all these things. he was a massive king. totally wkd swordsman etc. guruji tries to talk sense to him and to make him see sense. but then guruji builds up to the other well known fact, that this aurangzeb is a tyrant. its heavily obvious that guruji was basically saying to him, >look at what u cud be like, but u are just not like this<. in fateh nama guruji says, >na zeebad tura naam aurangzeb<. meaning that his name of aurangzeb is not zeebad. zeebad means beautiful. if we thing about it, aurang means wanderous colours, and some say zeb means like dev as in devi. so he does not do his name any kind of justice, meaning that he does not live up to his name, does not live up to kingship, and does not live up to what he could be like. from as far as i know, this letter is guruji in dissapointment with aurangzeb. soo.. thas it reely.. gurfateh
  3. "..waheguru ; teri subh rachna" in this tuk, is the word teri linked to the word waheguru? or is it 'teri' because the word rachna is also femenine?? thanks jioz
  4. isnt this shabad a testiment to something else, other than the >gaj< that guruji talks about as per the first origional post? cuz to me, it sounds like this croc and elephant sakhi is bout not speaking needless badness to people.. so to me, i think that the elephant thing that supportes the first post, is the >gaj jio ho sahai< tuk. ..
  5. ^^what do u mean by the source? bani comes from naam. so technically, anyone who unifies with the jot saroop, they are form of guru on earth - because of ek jot. our guru is guru granth ji sahib. also, if i get blessed enuf to get the seva of writing guru granth, then if i happen to leave a few pages this dont mean that guruji gona write more : / do u connotate at raagmala : / ? and all the "1z" that no one cam seem to grasp? or.. i dont get what u mean btw, there are sakhis n stuff where, pppl say that gueu gobind singh ji will come down in 350 years time after they went.. 300 years have gone leaves 50 years rufly.. another, which im sure u havent heard of, is after kaljug finishes, guruji sill come again, and things will start new. and afresh.
  6. its gud to do the circling of guruji, it builds sharda and bhaavna. but this trinity is also eyes, ears, and tongue. just like in anand sahib. in bhai gurdass jis kabit, icrMkwl mwns jnm inrmol pwey sPl jnm gur crn srn kY ] locn Amol gur drs Amol dyKy sRvn Amol gur bcn Drn kY ] nwskw Amol crnwribMd bwsnw kY rsnw Amol gurmMqR ismrn kY ] hsn Amol gurdyv syv kY sPl crn Amol prdCnw krn kY ]17] ^^ this is the true forn of pardachan.; and the red bits are all what we do, if we listen, look and jup. i.e. we go to guruji yes we do have the laava, and this is gud too. understanding the meaning behind doing a parkarma around guruji is gud. else its just ritualistic (just like reading bani becomes - but its still good to read bani with the sharda, it duz have an effect). for me personally, doing the parkarma is kinda too showie offie. ther is a showie offie culture that has been seen in practising sikhs tbh.. and, perhaps its in a bid to not feel low as in to feel that they havent got any sikhi hence feel defeated. obviously, this is nonsense because those ppl that havent got this 'showie offie' they have true sikhi.. but anyway... guru ji has said, 'no rituals'. just like going to places and taking a bath in the sarovers is a type of ritual. >attsatt teerath majan<. but then again, it is gud to do this at the sarovers of amritsar (the 5 sarovers). so just like this, its gud only when we no that its the naam that washes us. so the pardachan is seeing, listening and doing simran for guruji. gurfateh jios SEC Bhai Nand Laal Ji Rehetnama.pdf
  7. in the kartaarpuri beer ther is blank pages left for guru gobind singh ji to add the rest of the banis. in the now a days granths, i think its jus a matter of printing preference...
  8. id like to know about the word FARASEES. every source says that this word means french/france. but i believe this is wrong. the tuk from dasam paatshah bani is from akaal ustat. fara si firangi farasees ke durangi, makraan ke mirdangi tere geet gaaeeat hai. the word firangi has been used by gurusahib lots of times in DG (dasam granth). and it means the outsiders. sources translate this word as europeians. this is wrong. what do you think that this tuk means? thanks jios
  9. the above post is for where the hirda is located.. a partakh bharamgyani sed that when the soul leaves, then the body is a corps. this means that all dead tissue etc. is where the soul isnt. the hair that we comb out, the nails that we cut off, etc. all have no soul because they have no life anymore. body + soul = life. iv seen with my own eyes >under a microscope<, the soul leaving a cell. if flashes white, then disintegrates (due to the enzymes n what have u...) so wher is the soul? its in your entire body, and is the size of your entire body. hence the soul leaving the body, slowly. (the feeling of the drain of life as you die.) another thing, the body is made from the jot of god, a suukham/soocham sareer (aka 'astro' body) and this physical body. wen u die, the sookham sareer and your jot leaves your body. so it can be seen as that your sookham sareer + your jot = the idea of your soul. when guru akaal purach comes and sits inside you and u 2 become 1, it sits in another place (in the torso of the body). but this is a digression to ur question. hope this ansaz ur q gurfateh jios :L: :BL: :L: :| :| :|
  10. guru ji tells us in raamkali M1 sidh gost. trai sat angul vaaee keheeyae tre means tin (3); sat means sat (7) added together is 10. if u read the before pauris, guru ji is talking bout pll chatting 'it'. basically ppl that jus giv the so called 'lip service' and they dont >laaa< their hirda onto anything they say. then this above lone comes. soo, 10. guru ji says y u chatting from that place u chatting from, (i.e. ur mouth, aka the throat where the sound comes from) when u should be chatting from 10 "angul" finger widths down i.e. your..... hirda! ... so if u measure from your throat 10 finger widths down, then thas your hirda. (cuz guruji says we chat meaningless crap from our throat, wen we should be chatting beauty and gudness from our hirda, because this is where we chat beauty n gudnes from.) so thas where the hirda is. another thing, is guruji says that "...jio teer lagaya". so wherever you feel this teer, this is where your hirda is. u can feel this teer wen u get overcome by love for guru/jot/god. as wel as wen sum1 sez sumin bad to u. in the latter case (sez summin bad to u), what you do is you feel the badness (naturally of course) but u turn it into love, through >understanding<. this understanding guruji gives us - gurprasaad. u no, this is a beautiful tool whereby guruji has shown us that even through badness, we can better ourselves and learn how to love things, even in the midst of hate. and, as we all now, this is to loose your mun (mun gavaachke seva karo etc..) and do seva. read pauri 14 from the attachment of bhai nandlaal ji rehetnama - this is what guru gobind singh ji told bhai nandlaal ji. the other attachment is other gud info. gurfateh jios :L: SEC Bhai Nand Laal Ji Rehetnama.pdf Does Not Simply Mean ‘Awareness of God’.pdf
  11. the elephant is top as in no predator hunts the elephant, as per science. gaj jio hoho sahaae means >> sahai: keeps safe; gaj jio hoho: just like the elephant so, gaj jio hoho sahaae means god will keep u safe just like the elephant is safe (i.e. come under the sharan >shelter< of god, then you will be kept so save, that no predetor(i.e. maya) will prey on u). i duno bout all these other postts tbh.. but suppose theres nuffin wrong with em..
  12. just an update, i understand the "S" buisness. its the chaal of the chund i.e. the "sum" of the beat. but the following i do not know how to understand.. (again its the highlighted bit) thanks
  13. thanks jioz . this is actually a different related to ur post tho... the 36 jug of arbad narbad dhundhukaara was where guru ji meditated on waheguru. was this in anandpur or hajoor? this is a very tuf question and some may not understand this, so if u do understand this, please post. thanks jioz.. and if anyone can answer to my other post http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/58887-urgent-help-needed-rasaaval-chand-and-bhujang-pryaat/ please do thanks o, and what do people think of the word france in akaal ustat. i think that prof sahib singh and all the translations have got this wrong. soz if i offend anyone! :D gurfateh
  14. and at which place were these banis written? thanks
  15. thanks. so this makes guruji 11 years old on these compositions. is this is the pyara singh padam rehetnama book? it hasnt got numbered pauris so is it posible to have a page reference? thanks
  16. wen u count, u count all the symbols (inc the adak) apart from the bindi, sihaari, aunkar and half letters. then u will find that e.g. bhujang prayaat has 10 yeach (or 20 as per chaal). same goes for chaupi. this is how one finds discrepencies in the printing of gutke (NOT discrepncies in bani, ONLY as per printing). it jus occured to me, how would one know the diference in chund having counted all the matras.. e.g. 16 for chaupi as well as dojak chand. else, could somone plzz explain how to understand the standard way of explaining the chund in books? they come up with naming systems like ragan, bhagan, charan, lachan etc.. there are about 15 or 16 of these.. atache is a pic from mahan kosh.. plz ava look lachan is highlighted. and the second is the highlighted "S" stuffs. i know that this is the chaal of the chund, but i cant understand how they mean.. it myt be hard to type and explain to me over typing..
  17. go here n scroll down to the 'alias' post http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/37811-pannas-of-dasam-granth/page__st__10 for maalkauns ki vaar
  18. i dont know when akal ustat was written so plz help! iv head that guruji wrote jaap sahib at age of 9 or 11, but iv seen another net source saying they were 19 years of age. thanks to anyone hu posts gurfateh
  19. gurfateh sangat jio in jaap sahib there are chands. there are different chands as per different chaals. each chaal/chand, has a certiam number of matras inside it. e.g. chaupi chund is 16 plus/minus 1 matra. dohera is 13 and 11 per line. bhujang pryaat chund has 10 matra, and rasaaval chund has 10 matra. Q1. how are these chunds different and how can u tell if the chunds are different, if they have the same matras? there are a number of other chunds that fall in this catagory.. i.e. have different names, but have the same number of matras. e.g dojak chand and chaupi both have 16 matras Q2. how are chunds assigned names in the first place? thanks for anyone hu can help.. plus, please recoment me good books.. i only have a little book called roop deep pingal teeka by bhai bachan singh.. and he explains it in a weird way thanks jioz gurfateh and, whats all this story bout krishan ji, saraswati ans sheshnaag?? what have they got to do with chands??
  20. we can work off our skydrives of hotmail if people want to.. jus need to open a new folder and submit updated versions of a file (it is always best to seperately name files as version 1, updated 1 and so on as if everything is in 1 file and summin happens to that file, then its all skrewwed.. i personally believe that this 'sub-contracting' is gud.. we jus need a base to work from.. where we can upload and share files. im open to suggestions too.
  21. http://www.sikhee.com/downloads.html go here... but its got the wrong trsnslation of kalika... ita kaal-ka which means the one that finishes death itself, i.e. god. .
