  3. Ragi Darshan displayed a very shameful behaviour at akal takhat. He showed that he was like a child devoid of any maturity. This is a typical behaviour of low life people. His ego was so high that he thought it was an insult for him to present himself before jathedars. He never gave a thought that sikh history is replete with highest respect for akal takhat that even a monarch like Ranjit singh presented himself in front of jathedar of akal takhat. Such immaturity on his part does not even make him a sikh leave aside jathedar of akal takhat.Money looted from sangat has gone to his head. let us pray that sikhism get rid of such divisive people.

The Sikh clergy, after a marathon meeting, issued an edict awarding the religious punishment to Darshan Singh who previously had been warned several times by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. During meeting of Sikh Clergy, Jathedar Akal Takht Gyani Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar Takht Damdama Sahib Gyani Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Jathedar Takht Kesgarh Sahib Gyani Tarlochan Singh, Jathedar Takht Patna Sahib Gyani Iqbal Singh and Head Priest Sachkhand Takht Hazoor Singh Sahib Gyani Partap Singh were present at Akal Takht. On November 17, Akal Takht had asked Darshan Singh to appear before Singh Sahibans for clarifications pertaining to his blasphemous remarks against Dasam Patshah Guru Gobind Singh in the United States. Earlier in the morning Darshan Singh had come before Akal Takht but did not go inside to meet Sikh clergy. When Darshan Singh was sitting outside the Akal Takht, secretary SGPC told him to go inside before the Sikh clergy but Darshan Singh vehemently denied to go inside. First he gave the reason that he cannot walk but then he changed his statement and demanded that Sikh clergy should come out to listen to him. He was violating Sikh traditions and making his own traditions putting his ego on top. Dalmegh singh, Secretary SGPC, tried to perusade Ragi to go inside as a humble sikh. It had no effect. Darshan Singh came along with DGMC president Sarna, Tarsem Singh missionary and 25 supporters. Four Hundred Nihangs especially from Gurdaspur and Amritsar and equal number of SGPC Task Force were present outside of Akal Takht Sahib during the whole episode. Darshan Singh, being guilty was afraid to go inside in front of Jathedars and face the consequences. He sat in front of Akal Takht Sahib for nearly two hours and then fled the venue by not appearing in front of Jathedars. Whereas, Sikh clergy in an edict said that Darshan Singh had arrived at Akal Takht carrying ego in his head, since he had violated all the norms of Sikh religion during his appearance at sacred Akal Takht. In an edict Sikh clergy described Darshan Singh as so called professor who did not bother about the respect of highest Sikh temporal seat Akal Takht, so that is why he was declared tankhaiya. Edict further stated that Darshan Singh is given time to appear in person before the Akal Takht before January 7. Edict also asked the Sikh community not to sponsor, fund or support Ragi Darshan. Akal Takht also directed ragi not to give any discourse nor use any panthic stage until he appears before Akal Takht Sahib within allotted time. The clergy (on November 16) has sought a clarification from former Akal Takht Jathedar Prof. Darshan Singh for allegedly narrating a rather objectionable tale by connecting it to the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh recently. However while announcing Prof. Darshan Singh "a tankhiya" from the rostrum of Akal Takht, Giani Gurbachan Singh the Jathedar of Akal Takht said that the five Jathedars have issued one month ultimatum to Prof. Darshan Singh to appear before them and accept Tankha or, religious punishment, failing which a more strenuous action would be taken against him. Interestingly, Prof. Darshan Singh arrived in the Golden Temple complex around 10.30 am today and sat before Akal Takht with his supports including Parmjit Singh Sarna, Chief of Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) for nearly two hours but did not appear before the five Jathedars, who were sitting in Akal Takht Secretariat about 40 meters far from Akal Takht. Prof. Darshan Singh left the Golden Temple after placing the copy of his clarification in front of Guru Granth Sahib at Akal Takht and leaving the five high priests. (ANI)

The Ragi was sternly chastised for failing to appear at the apex Sikh Takht at 12 noon on December 5th of 2009 as required. On November 17th, the Ragi was directed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib to appear before the five Singh Sahibans and provide explanation for the offending remarks he had made about Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji at a Rochester, New York gurdwara. The directive by Sri Akal Takht Sahib also declared the Ragi as a “Guru-Nindak” who, due to ego and self-interest, failed to uphold the respect and maryada of the sacred Takht Sahib. The Sri Akal Takht Sahib directive further stated that until the Ragi appears in person for atonement, all Sikh organizations, institutions, and Gurdwaras should not allow the Ragi to utilize their facilities. The five Singh Sahibans also gave a final ultimatum to the heretic Ragi that if he does not abide by this directive and appear before the Takht before January 7th of 2010, further severe action would be taken against him according to Panthic norms and traditions. He was persuaded by S.Dalmegh Singh Secty SGPC to go into Akal Takhat and appear before the Singh Sahiban who had been waiting for him . He refused to do so and said that he was asked to appear before Akal Takhat only . He how ever went in Akal takhat and placed a letter their which he said was his reply to the quirey of Akal Takhat . He had 20 to 25 people with him (but Radio India reporter said 4 to 500 people) and Parmjit Singh Sarna Prez DSGPC was also there with 20 to 25 of his supporters . Task force did not allow him to join with Ragi sitting before Akal takhat sahib. Notably Tarsem Singh the head of Dharam Parchar Committe of DSGPC was also with Ragi Darshan Singh while sitting before Akal Takhat sahib . A third person was also with them the name could not be found .There was also a big gethering 200-300 of Nihang Singhs in front of Akal Takhat . The Akal takhat was cordoned by Task Force personnels. The Nihang Singhs showed their resentment when Ragi left the Harmandar Sahib complex as they said Ragi had assured them to satisfy them when he appears before ATS . Darshan singh is on record of not only passing blasphemic remarks for tenth master but also having disowned banis of nitnem, ardas and Amrit sanchar .But his silly followers that include one ex general secretary of Akali dal ( Amritsar) wrote an article in World sikh news praising heretic ragi. Instead of appreciating efforts of Gurucharanjit singh ji Lamba for catching Ragi Darshan singh on his concocted tales against Guru Gobind singh ji and his bani, this pseudo khalistani balmed him for being a RSS agent.This was the worst case of yellow journalism. Those who have read Dasam Granth know that dasam granth is the only sikh scripture that rejects Hindu avtars and idol worship in the strongest possible language. Why would RSS promote a Granth that cuts their roots? Instead they should be supporting such pseudo khalistanis who are conducting propaganda against bani of tenth master. Such people have neither read Dasam Granth nor know anything about its history. Had he know this, Jagmohan would not have written nonsense about absence of Dasam Granth in Punjab till British arrived. Most of sikh organizations In USA have appreciated the action taken by Akal takhat jathedar in calling rogue ragi to account after a period of two years.Yet Jagmohan lists some phoney organizations in the article for opposing akal takhat directive. That is outrightly a lie as no statement has appeared in papers on behalf of these organizations. Such self made journalists need to realize that issue at stake is not Dasam Granth. The real issue is fictitious stories being concocted by ragi darshan Singh in order to tarnish personality of Guru Gobind singh ji.The real issue is propaganda being conducted by such shady characters to do away with khande bate di pahul which is always an eye sore for enemies of sikhism.Such cheap journalists are becoming a willing tool to further propaganda of anti sikh forces.Need of the hour is to recognise such dummies and expose their evil designs.

The case is simple and straightforward. He narrated a story which is claimed appeared in Sri Dasam Granth. While performing keertan at a gurdwara in Rochester, NY, Prof Darshan Singh claimed that a story appears in Charitropakhyan where Guru Gobind Singh Sahib goes to a prostitute. The prostitute tries to lure him. Guru Sahib contemplates that if establishes relationship with the prostitute then the one who will be born out of that relationship will only be a pimp. Now the case was simple. Prof Darshan Singh claimed that this narration was in Sri Dasam Granth. Two months have passed and till date he has not been able to show the page number of the granth where this story appears. Reason? Because he molded another story to fit is taste. No such story with the words used by Darshan Singh appears in Sri Dasam Granth. A US based TV Channel interviewed Darshan Singh for over an hour and gave him the opportunity to substantiate his claims. But he failed miserably. Moreover he couldn't even properly read the lines from Charitropakhyan, a subject he loves to talk about on every occasion. It was expected that all the Sikh organizations will stand together to criticize this Guru Nindya, like they did with Ashutosh, Bhaniara and Gurmeet Ram Raheem. Unfortunately, it's this eternal weakness of the Sikhs that though they can fight the external enemy with full might, they get easily deceived by an enemy from within – an enemy who wears turban, carries a kirpan and looks like them. And that's what has happened in the case of Darshan Singh. Over the weeks a simple and straightforward case of Guru Nindya has been colored in many shades. Some see Darshan Singh issue as pro or anti Dasam Banee issue. Some see it as pro or anti Khalistan issue. And some see it as pro or anti Badal issue. The real issue has been overshadowed by all this mish-mash. If there was any truth in Darshan Singh's stand then this issue could have been resolved in a matter of few minutes. The reason that this has taken so long and became so complicated proves that Darshan Singh has no justification for his blasphemous remarks. He could have maintained his larger-than-life status by agreeing that he misread the scripture and what he said was wrong. Instead he went on a counter allegation spree. Sometimes blaming the translations of Dr. Jodh Singh and sometimes taking refuge in those individuals who reject the basic principles of Amrit, Nitnem, Ardas and Rehat Maryada. But what Darshan Singh said in Rochester is not a random and unrelated assault on Sikhi. Since a couple of years he has been behaving as an outlaw. He has been speaking against the validity of Nitnem and Amrit Sanchaar Banees. At one point even questioning whether the Banees which are recited now during Amrit are the same which Guru Sahib recited on the Vaisakhi of 1699. He even went to the extent of congratulating a heretic gurdwara in Finland who changed the first pauree of Ardas. Even calling Takhat Hazoor Sahib as a shop and proposing to sabotage its golak. It's not only Darshan Singh's fault. Had the panth taken notice of his outlaw nature and taken cognizance of his blasphemy, maybe he wouldn't have gone to the extent of denigrating the life of Guru Sahib. The silence of the panth towards his blasphemy is equally to be blamed. The Takhats of the Khalsa Panth can issue Hukamnamas. It's up to the Sikh panth to follow and implement those diktats. Numerous Hukamnamas were issued from Patna Sahib and Akal Takhat Sahib ordering the panth to be aware of Darshan Singh's nefarious designs. But the panth didn't take notice of that. Moreover because of Darshan Singh's anti-Badal rhetoric, those leaders and those parties who oppose Badal and the SGPC saw an ally in Darshan Singh. Ignoring the Hukamnamas and ignoring the outlaw nature of Darshan these leaders gave unconditional support to Darshan and gave him an open forum through their stages to spew his venom. It was ever expected that the members of the Kala Afghana cult who openly defy any panthic authority will come to his support. And they didn't disappoint. Wholeheartedly they supported Darshan Singh's Guru Nindya. Unfortunately even those from whom sincerity was expected also towed the line of Darshan Singh. A scribe, who claims to dissipate the news of the Sikhs to the World, in a clear defiance to the panthic mood, has written in defense of 'Singh Sahib' Darshan Singh. It was expected of that scribe to get into the core of the truth and then address the issue with honesty. However, a former member of SAD (Amritsar) who doesn't cease any opportunity to criticize the government for atrocities against Sikhs has sided with a man who used the most derogatory remarks for Guru Sahib. The issue is simple and straightforward. We are either with the Guru or with the Guru-Nindak. There is no middle path. We have to decide. Do we want to cross the line of Baba Deep Singh and be ready to sacrifice ourselves for the Guru; or we want to stand on the other side and continue to support a Guru Nindak and still call ourselves as Sikhs.   19. In my opinion it has nothing to do with shabads. The video that sacred them was Ragi Darshu's interview on JUS Punjabi Tv where he failed miserably to support his bukwas. That was the video they were attacking most and were taking it down repeatedly.
