This baba just like all the others will not want a slap on the face as he leaves Gurughar so just like darshan dasi and all the others will be respectful in the Gurughar (also due to the fact that he is vulnerable there too) i was merely pointing out that they only go to Gurdwarae to advertise their cult. Pheena you are correct; one should not blame the "baba" for trying but the committee for accepting them. i know members of committees in these Gurdwarae and all of them say the same thing... these type of "babae" only tend to get given stage time in small Gurughar with small sangat. Thus less sangat will protest and basic economics means they will gain from the extra people such as chelae and supporters coming into Gurughar... almost like renting the place out for the day. These babae only get allowed into small Gurughar as i spoke to some of the bigger Gurdwarae committees who said no way would their sangat let them get away with it. Also, smaller Gurughar have fewer sewadaars. It is true to say that quite often there are few committee members to make decisions quicker and often the trustees are not even sikhs- not going to name and shame but lets just say it is very common. TO EVERYONE: I'd reccommend you all find out who are the committee members of your local Gurdwarae and who are the trustees; you might be in for a surprise. Make sure the youth have a voice Peace.

Yes that's him Gurughar is open to all but i believe stage time should only be given to those openly promoting Gurmat. It's clear the only reason this swami is going to be there is to gain chelae. This is the same way that fake babae get chelae- even if they speak nice and only spend stage time promoting praying to God; their very presence there is an advertisement for their own group or sect. You know once they leave the stage with extra chelae they will then lead them off Guru's path and onto their own. The same tactics have been used by darshandasi - continually turning up at Gurughars and sikh events in the past. I believe committees should be more careful in choosing who to give stage time as it sends out false signals to the sangat. He could do beadbi of SGGS ji just by saying his name! Only Guruji is Yogpursh. All of this "maha swami"s posters state he will be doing "Parvachan" at the Gurdwara. A lot of sangat has contacted them asking them to reconsider but it appears to be going ahead. I have a poster but is slightly too big to attach to the post; who should i forward it to?

let's not judge the gay community as nobody here has the right to do so nobody is saying the gay community should be prevented from being active in sikhi as sikhi is in its nature always going to be open to the whole of mankind to learn from the question is will being gay and being a sikh work coherently or will this represent a fundamental duality in their life? as i see it everyone's just arguing from 2 different perspectives: 1) nature argument- gays are born that way and thus cannot help being who they and so were created by akal purakh ji in the gay roop and so they can make do with their lot when they were born and so sikhi is fully open to them 2) nurture argument- people become gay due to something in their environment as they are brought up, etc. and so this is about a kaam effect on their mun and so they need to tackle this to develop further in sikhi in terms of their nature of being born transgender people fall under the nature argument and sikhi is open to them as far as i know there has not been a gay gene found to prove the nature argument. anyhow this is not about the science- it is an issue of sikhi: if it is barely an issue now hen it was not an issue in Guruji's time as it is not directly referred to in sikhi in SGGS ji. However what we do know is that grehsth jeevan is promoted and the union ibetween man and woman is promoted regularly as well as saying they should be true to each other if they want to be sikh and gay then thats fine but the question is do they together form a duality answering this question is not judging anybody i'm not taking sides :lol: until i'm better informed

certain people may say otherwise but truthfully sikhi is not missionary unlike other religions we're not in a race to convert by encouragement or compulsion sikhi is the only religion that has allowed members of other faiths to contribute to Holy scriptures. whatever faith you are; you are encouraged to have a better relationship with God and not hurt fellow beings in the Universe As for the christians; my mum keeps getting jehovas witnesses knocking on our door wanting to speak to her - after over 50 visits i decided enough is enough as my mum had told them 50 times that while she respects them and Jesus, she was a firm believer of her own faith. They refused to listen all 50 times and warranted a talking to by me. I said "clearly you don't take no for an answer? you do know you are standing on my property? i could ring the police..." i proceeded to show them a few shastars i have on display and stated "it'll take at least 30 minuites for an ambulance to get here while it'll take half the time for you to bleed to death" after an uncomfortable silence they left never to return obviously it was an empty threat as i did not mean a word i was saying but the gesture of goodwill was there they aint even come back to anyone on the road! guess i'm off their christmas card list oh well i wont be getting those magasines about how mrs sonia kapoor has converted to christianity and become mrs sonia cooper still... respect to jesus- i have to admit he was great in his movie still i rate the guy as a bhagat though what a quarbani
