Any of the Gurus are an obvious choice, but as for meeting true Sikhs, Bhai Randheer Singh Ji, he was a true Sikh, one of the few true sants out there, even though he didn't consider himself one. Mark of a true Sikh. And the fact that the sangat that he started is still is doing seva for Khalsa Panth, 100 years after it was created, surely says something. I would have loved to listen to him doing kirtan live. The other choice would be Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhinderwale. I have seen his videos and have all of his speeches on cd, but I would have loved to meet him in person. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

I think that everything is prewritten by Waheguru. We can't say to Waheguru give us this and do this this way. He does everything how he wants and when he wants. Sehajdharis to move court Tribune India Wednesday, 22nd October 2003 Ludhiana -- The Sehajdhari Sikh Federation (SSF) has condemned the decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs disenfranchising Sehajdharis to vote in the SGPC (Search) elections stating that the move will create a “minority within a minority.” The party will challenge the notification in court. “This is the culmination of the attempts by the Akalis to deprive Sehajdhari Sikhs from voting in the SGPC elections. This is a deep-rooted conspiracy to drive a wedge between the already fragmented minority community, besides denying representation to more than 80 per cent of the Sikhs in the world,” says Dr Paramjeet Singh Ranu, national president of the SSF. Talking to TNS on the issue, which is threatening to snowball into a major controversy, here today, he said it was unfortunate that the present Sikh leadership had taken the emotive issue of the Sehajdhari Sikhs in a casual manner. Why does it bother you that I mentioned that AKJ sangat is coming? Afterall it is an AKJ Ren Sabahee, so why not mention which sangat is coming? These threads are so redundant, started by the same people, I think everyone on this board would have some idea what Sikhi asks of us, anyways..... There aren't different flavors of Sikhs. We can't be cafeteria "Sikhs". What I mean by this is that we can't think well, lets see, I'm gonna follow this part of the rehit, but not this part, this part seems right so I'll only go with this. Either you are a Sikh or you are not. You can be on the path to Sikhism, which is fine. There aren't sehajdhari Sikhs and amritdhari Sikhs, there are just SIKHS. SIKHS are those that follow and keep rehit and follow the rules set by Dashmesh Petha Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Also, why is the example always given of Amritdharis who do bad things? Is this an excuse to not take amrit? Whenever one of these threads start there is always one person who says that they know an amritdhari person that does bad things but they know monas who are very religious. If the mona was a true Sikh on the inside he would keep Sikhi on the outside aswell. Without the Code of Conduct, One can not be referred to as a 'Sikh'. Without the Code of Conduct, One will suffer in the Lord's Court. He alone is a Sikh, a friend, a relative and a sibling, who follows the Way of the Guru's Will. One who follows according to his own will, O Siblings of Destiny, suffers displeasure of separation from the Lord. (Sorath M3, P601)
