waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh Sikh organisations have long been advising youth to not to become patit but it has not helped so far as sikh youth is continuing to show disrespect to kesh by every passing day. :T: In order to maintain the degnity of hairs and sabat surat saroop... apart from teaching sikh rehat to the youth it becomes equally important to request youth to either be sabat soorat or just not to keep hair at all. Many times sikh youth wearing turbans have been spoted sitting at sloons getting there beards trimmed and though it is very shocking to know but sikh youth have also been spotted smoking cigerattes and drinking in public. It is thus very important to start a cmpaign to save dignityof kesh and sikh saroop. We shall advise the indisciplined youth to not to keep hair and wear turban at all if they wish to trim their beards, drink and smoke. Let all the kesh dharis be sabat soorat and non drinkers and non smokers. Lets save our sikhi saroop :e: Bhul Chuk Muaf Daljit

Waheguru ji ki fateh :T: ......Guys...though i am quite strict as far as the sikhi is concerned but many times .......I get irritated because of my symbol of "SHAAN" ,..........my turban... n i tell u it is much smaller than those damlas.........so i find no use in encouraging ppl to wear those big dumlas...........but i would be greatful to somebody if he could tell us how to wear comfortable turbans....... It's tough to be perfect in rehat maryada...if one is physically not comfortable Bhul Chuk Muaf

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! With all my respect to Guru Granth Sahib I wish to express my views about the sorry state of Gurudwaras today. As the institute of Gurdewara is not centralized most places have become justa place of Darshan... and mathah tek..... not nothing more................. No one preaches about the rehat maryada........the granthis not even translate the the Hukamnama........... Actually there is no vision........... :T: Lot has to be done to preach Gurmat and Gurbani to the masses ..... These have rather become a place of politics Bhul Chuk Muaf

The worst part is that....... We have been facing this caste problem even after it has been prohibted in the religion..... If guru ji want us to do away with our differenty creeds and follow one creed of khalsa ....why are we not leaving the caste system..... :wub: Just saying that sikhism does not preach caste system won do.... ........we will have to phase this system out.... Prominent sikh organisations will have to unite and declare all surnames prohibted.................or device a title system which is not caste based and followed by all....... Something needs to be done... :D Fateh

as far as ramgarhia ...................is concerned though i am not a supporter of it,.......... but i must tell u it is not a caste................. Ramgarhia is one of the misals(files) created during anciant times... ...... .......This misl was named after the fort of ramgarh Maharaja Jassa Singh Ramgarhia was the prominment figure of this misl who did a lot for the khalsa panth....... .........The two Ramgahia Bungas at Durbar Sahib glorifies the achievements of this misl........... So nameing any gurudwara as ramgarhia is not a matter of caste......... but it should not be encouraged as no other misl names Gurudwaras on their name...... and if that is done it will lead to factionism.......... This is one of the many misls....... Shukracharia misl..... which later on proved to be the strongest in the later period ........ was able to form the first sikh kingdom .........and that was of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.... :wub: Now the down side is that the ramgarhia misl in present day consist mainly of castes like tarkhan .,...Lohar... and other skil led workesmen and craftsmen........and the castes based on it..........these ppl do not know about the Ramgarhia misl and relate themselves to worshipers of Vishwakarma and many of them even go to Vishwakarma temple on vishkarma day after Diwali..................... So we need to educate them that they are sikhs of Ramgarhia misl and they should not bind them in the prevailent caste system.......... :e: When Gobind Rai Became Guru Gobind Singh what filthy beings are we that we continue to be Gills and Bhamras and Maan and Sidhus....etc etc............ let us all be sikhs and not Jats, Takhans And Chamars Just feel proud to be Sikh

know SGPC once issued a hukamnama that all sikhs should use thier village names as their surnames but that hukamnama does not seams to be effective...... :T: Some conctrete steps needs to be taken,, :yehyehyeh: Fateh

u all r quite right... castism was one of the practices guru Gobind Singh sahib himself abolished............. :wub: .but its so sad that v have not been able to eradicate it even after 300 years of formation of khalsa.............. it's do disappointing...... :D Well i think the reason for it is the management committees of sikh community.......... there is no clear cut policy.... the surname is the real cause . now it won't matter for sarbat khalsa...if i say that i won use my surname...........as the caste systemm will still prevail.. So it is in the hands of SGPC... who can ban the surnames... or atleast make it mendatory for all sikhs getting amritdhari to discard thier caste based surnames........ Fateh :TH: Man!!!!!!...this is something urgent SGPC should look into Either ask us all to drop our surnames and let SINGH be ur only surname or develop another sysem of surnames which is not caste based................................ :TH:

How to spread awareness about sikhism....... ????........ I guess sikhs has to perform in some world events like olumpics etc. etc............ to make their presence felt world wide..................... We have to become world favourate to make our presence felt..................... :e: Fateh
