Couple of days back, I visited an itihaasak Guru Ghar and took a rickshaw after dropping out of the bus. The veer pulling the rickshaw was an amritdhari. When I tried to give him money, he refused and said that he doesnt take money from fellow amritdharis. He said he pulls rickshaw about 8 hours a day, it keeps his body in good health, while driving rickshaw, he keeps on singing gurbani and japping Naam, he gets the chance to do seva of Guru ke sangat everyday who sit on his rickshaw and make his rickshaw pavitarr(pure). He starts his job at 7 am after doing his nitnem, takes 2 hours rest in the afternoon and at sharp 5 pm, calls it a day( irrespective of the amount of money he earned) and goes to Gurdwara Sahib to listen to Kirtan. I feel this veer's job is the best job on the planet. It is also the most clean(suchi) job as he does "dassan nauhan di kirat" in reality. I feel this veer shud be the role model of sikh youth. He in reality is practicing naam jappna, kirat karni, seva karni, santokh rakhna.

<< Kamayee is not known, it is FELT. When u will hear to a kamayee vala attmaa's kirtan, that kirtan will hit ur heart, it will bring u nearer to Guru. But if u will have kirtanniyaas who are doing kirtan to get some NRI rishta, or to impress bibis, when u have people fighting for their turn to do kirtan, it is nuthing but pakhand kirtan.

Man, dont u underestimate SINGHSTAH. Every night when we all are sleeping, Singhstah leaves his body and travels the whole world. He just wants to stay gupt, he does not want us to know what his real avastha is.

What is a kakkaar ? A kakkaar is something whose name startes with "k" and is to be kept with the body all the time. Nihung Singhs are supposed to keep a blue keski ALL THE TIME. Even while drying their hair, they are supposed to cover the head with a keski.That makes keski a kakkaar. GALL KHATAM.

Yes, at present america is using India. American days as the lone superpower are about to end, so america wants to use India to keep a check on China. Thats why India has got this nuclear deal. I know that I used to collect current affairs through reading weekly magazines like 'India Today' and 'Illustrated Weekly', 'Readers Digest' etc. And then I used to subscribe to a single video cassette based news weekly called "Newstrack". But "Newstrack" was supposed to be really elite at that time. Since it involved purchase of a video-cassette every fortnight. to put long story short. Not many sources of information were available and those that were used to be in control of the Govt. When Indian citizens entrusted the job of security to the police, they did so in utmost good faith. They also belived they are capable of doing an honest job. And then we sit back do our stuff trusting that those who have been entrusted with the job will do it in good faith. while we Indians sit back after entrusting the job of security to the police, we do not have effective means to ensure that those people who have been entrusted the job do not resort to shortcuts. there is little effective oversight on them to ensure that they do the job honestly and do not resort to short cuts like custodial deaths, torture, raping women and other abominations. That is why the Indian constitution has a code of conduct that it obliges public servants to follow. The govt may be biased against some community or religion. But the code of conduct is not biased and that is why these gentlemen are supposed to follow it and that they are following it needs to be ensured by citizenry if not by the politicians, courts or other bodies who may have vested interests. But the police officers might gain from 'short-cuts' because it gets their job done quicker. Who else benefits .. surely not the Indian state who is left with the brutalised conscience of those individuals who have been left over after the pogrom. We have now realized that Indian constitution has been subverted and conscience of an entire society has been destroyed. This cost cannot be computed. Man, an average Indian has been sold out by the political parties of India. Indians instead of following people like Gandhi, Advani shud have followed Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale. If u had made Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale to be the ruler of India, there would have been no hindu-muslim riots, bomb blasts, bollywood kanjarrpana. Even pakistan and china would have feared such a Lion. But alas, u call him a terrorist, hahahahahaha.

There is another very important information about Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee. He has great knowledge of Sri Dasam Granth. So that is a very good news for the panth. I know the akal takht jathedaar is always under pressure from Badal, I also dont expect Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee to do something really revolutionary, but whatever I have heard of him is good. His knowledge and love for Sri Dasam Granth is a very nice thing and really good news for the panth.

a bit of correction in the update. During the rule of BJP, lots of pressure was put on the Home ministry and law ministry to grant amnesty to Bhai Davinderpal Singh Bhullar Ji. Even Badal played some good role(what a surprise that is). Finally Arun Jaitley was also very supporitve of granting amnesty but told that if they grant amnesty to him, they will be forced to grant amnesty to people who attacked Indian Parliament. As a result, this case remained pending. As soon as the Congress Government came, the PUPPET PM Manmohan rejected the mercipitation and ordered phaansi. But Abdul Kalam played a very good role and told the government to reconsider their decision. Since then lots of pressure has been put on the government and at present, the phaansi remains suspended. It is highly hopeful that his death penality will change into life sentence(which he has almost completed) and he will be released.

Most people in INdia must have bribed a traffic policeman atleast I guess. Anyways, one doesnt need to be a rocket scientist to figure out how morally corrupt the Indian police is. Yes, the Indians have lost their soul, bollywood has completely corrupted the modern Indian generation. In the guise of development and globalization, the Indians have lost their moral values, their family values. Hindu girls ready to die after kanjarrs like salman khan, shahrukh khan. Can such a hindu youth fight and protect their country ? NOOO Can such hindu youth fight the alllaah-hooo akhbhar muslim militants who are hard-bent on ruining India ?? NOOOO Indians have completely lost the trust of Khalsa who saved their unmentionalable part from being sunnified.

Raju Veer, things arent that simple. Tell me one thing, dont people in India know how corrupt the police is ? Even to get your small works done, most Indians have to bribe the police. The problem is that why do these indians believed each and every thing they heard from Punjab police ?? No sane person on this earth can support the attack on Sri Harmandir SAhib in 1984 and then the delhi sikh genocide. But the Indian public went all out to support Rajiv Gandhi in the elections. Why ?? When muslims were massacred in Gurjarat, hindu population voted Modi to power. Man, the indian population has to share the blame for what happened in Punjab. People who japp naam, and keep open beard, wear big dastaar look so beautiful. But indians feel uncomfortable with such people. On the ohter hand, they believe everything they hear from a police officer whose face is so corrupted with sin and corruption.

In Sri Sukhmani Sahib we read that "dehi meh is ka bisraaam" ie the Naam is present inside the body of every human being. When we are given the amrit-water by Guroo roop Punj, this naam within our body GETS ACTIVATED. Before this, this naam was kind of locked. After being blessed with amrit-water, we are then blessed with the gurmantar and the proper gurmat way of reciting gurmantar(gurmantar-drirhh). Both gur-bani and gur-mantar are very powerful forms of Naam. Gur-mantar is the most powerful mantar EVER. By doing abhiyaas of gur-bani and gur-mantarr, we keep on washing our sins and keep on increasing the naam- khazana thats present inside our dehi(body) and one day become the very roop of naami i e. Akal purakh.

I feel that when a kamayee vaali aatmaa does kirtan, that kirtan has an effect on the sangat even if its not sung in raag. When there is no kamaayee, kirtan loses its power. These days, when people dont have kamayee and also dont have raaag, the kirtan becomes a sort of pakhand kirtan and then u have people starting their "waheguru waheguru waheguru .. " between the kirtan. Its a complete mess.

Out of them, Joginder Singh had become insane, Mohinder Singh’s hips fractured (now cannot properly walk) and Mukhtiar Singh’ legs broken. Indian justice system made mockery of their agony. Thus, justice to them remained elusive since then, while their perpetrators such as Sumed Saini and KPS Gill are being magnified day in, day out by the State. That not only the State had awarded Gold Medals to the killers in uniform of Sikh activists and but also reprieved their sentences." Singhstah I feel has the potenial to become the jathedar of Akal Takht and Sehaj Bhain has the potentional to fight and kill dushts like Badal, same way Chandi killed Mahikhasur.

dear veer, There are lots of different versions of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur jee's life. I guess we shud open up a new thread regarding this. Not everthing written in historical granths can be completely believed. To say that Baba Banda see starting calling himself a Guru, well.... that a VERY VERY VERY SERIOUS allegation, infact character assasination of a great sikh.

I hope so. But I will also make a very good jathedaar. Something tells me that in this life I will become jathedaar of Akal Takht. This intution I get is very strong.

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Jee was a TATT KHALSA. As long as he was alive, he dint allow anyone to call him guru. May be after his shaheedi, some people might have started calling him a guru. Baba Banda Singh jee was one if not the most powerful generals of Sikh History. He must have had HUGE HUGE kamayee of previous janams and would have had some rishta with Satguru jee and thats why Guru Sahib chose him when he had so many other singhs and even 3 pyaras with him.

I just enquired about Giani Gurbachan Singh jee from a very reliable source. He has taksali background and is a very honest nice person, well respected person. He shud turn out to be a better jathedaar than Vedanti jee, who was weak and was easliy used by Badal. So all the best to Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee. All the best to Vedanti Jee too, he can now concentrate on bhagti and make him manukha janam safall.

Alright! that makes sense. So chant of "satnaam waheguru" is to imprint into our minds that satnaam is waheguru. But the way many people chant, I doubt they are thinking like that. They are just making it look like a jaap of a mantarrr. I will still prefer people only repeating gurmantar as Giani Pinderpal Singh Jee's does. Anyways, this topic is over for me. Sorry if i hurt somebody's aatmaa.

If somehow, u become the jathedar of Akal Takht and have indenpendence to take decisions, what are the first 3 things u will do ?

I also want to become jathedar of Akal Takht. Is there any sangat out here voting me to be the jathedar ?

Dear Matheen Ji, I am telling what I was told by some nice gursikhs. anyways, if one has to simran, do simran of gurmantar and not "satnaam waheguru". Giani Pinderpal Singh, I have huge respect for him and whenever he does katha, he makes sangat recite gurmantar and not the sant style "bolooo satnam sri waheguruu". Giani ji's simran is very slow and powerful. The point that my aatmaa was trying to make is that I cant really understanding the chanting "satnaam waheguru" thats going on these days. Having said that, in this chant, gurmantar also comes so thats beneficial, but still I cant find a reason why this chant started, why not just the gurmantar.
