  2. Another POSSIBLE translation may be that just as God has made many many insects he has also made many many Krishna's. He made Krishnas, He also made many insects. Yes, this makes much more sense. So basically, Maharaj Ji is telling us that God is capable of making 'anything' of any size, shape, or form. Thank you TUBELIGHT! You know, you sound like a cute little kiddie in your posts I was going to say a cute little girl, but then I would have gotten hate mail in my Inbox. Not just any hate mail, SS style hate mail Oh wait I said it anyway...hmm...chalo I'll make sure I keep a bucket of freezing cold water handy when I read the hate mail. Hah! SS style hate mail? Nahin Ji, I don't hate anyone. No matter what happens. Freezing cold water? Whoa... What's the evil plan here? :umm: A kiddie? Seriously? Oh thats why... this one person never takes me seriously, 'unless' they say they want to. Gee...

  4. Waheguru... Ji, I truly do not care about what religion you belong to. All that matters to me is that you are a soul. A soul that is here to attain the real purpose of life; to merge with the supreme power, once again. How you choose to do it is really up to you. That is what path you choose to take is your choice ONLY. Religion doesn't matter, it's your spirituality that will take you out of this dark tunnel and towards the tremendous light waiting for you at the end of this tunnel. Guru Naanak Sahib never really created a religion. His spiritual teachings made some real fortunate ones his disciplines which are referred to as his Gursikhs. Gursikhs: the ones that have a Guru. Having a Guru cannot be a religion but only a great path towards the ultimate truth. And as for the debates, we are never encouraged to argue. Guru Naanak Sahib says: baadh bibaadh kaahoo sio n keejai || Do not engage in any arguments or debates with anyone. It's just that we are helpless of our human nature and overlook the teachings of such a great teacher and still continue to listen to our egos and so argue. Guru Ji never calls anyone anything wrong. Never. It's not God's nature to put his loved ones down.
  5. These are some beautiful thoughts... This truly sounds like 'Khalsa Raj'. Beautiful...
  6. Waheguru! Thank you for such a beautiful post. Please if you can then do explain the purpose of the five K's. I'll wait for you reply. Thank you again!

    Explanation

aadeeth dharam at dheeth karam God's justice is invisible and ideal. God's actions are performed boldly with courage for both good and bad. The Hukamnama Sahib is telling you to 'start' reciting his Bani because it won't matter, as the Wicked Warrior has mentioned, if you are 'good' or 'bad'. It'll be useless. i.e. You've been good all your life but never recited Gurbani or Naam even once then you are as good as the bad person. For the purpose of life is to remember God and then to merge into him deeply, that is: become ONE with him through his creation. dheebaan eaeko kalam eaekaa hamaa thumhaa mael || There is only One Court of the Lord, and He has only one pen; there, you and I shall meet. This one pen is fair to everyone. Good or Bad, this pen spells JUSTICE 'correctly' in every way. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Somewhere He hath created millions of the servants like Krishna. ਕਿਤੇ = He 'made' ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ = Krishna ਸੇ = He 'also' ਕੀਟ = Made ਕੋਟੈ = Many other humble devotees like Krishna ਬਨਾਏ = He made them all. Kitaa = to do something. Maharaj Ji is too humble, unlike us, to call anyone anything wrong. We must understand this. Ego makes us crazy, think we are right all the time. Many words have more than one meaning to them.

    Meditation

Meditation is a remembrance...of someone you love. Maharaj Ji gave us Bani to tell us the 'nature' of the Lord. Such beautiful nature that by listening to it we can fall in love with the Lord. Maharaj Ji tells us that Akaal Purakh is 'Dayal' 'Daata' 'Maha' 'Barbhoor' 'Uch' 'Rudo' 'Gudo' 'Gehar' 'Gambheer' 'Veparvah' 'Payara' 'Shant' 'Akaal'... It's our habit that if we like someone's qualities, we think about them all the time. Thats meditation. You meditate on them. Similarly, bhagat jan 'think' about Maharaj Ji all the time, they meditate on him and on his various qualities. aaneelae kaagadh kaatteelae gooddee aakaas madhhae bharameealae || The boy takes paper, cuts it and makes a kite, and flies it in the sky. panch janaa sio baath bathooaa cheeth s ddoree raakheealae ||1|| Talking with his friends, he still keeps his attention on the kite string. man raam naamaa baedhheealae || My mind has been pierced by the Name of the Lord, jaisae kanik kalaa chith maanddeealae ||1|| rehaao || like the goldsmith, whose attention is held by his work. aaneelae kunbh bharaaeelae oodhak raaj kuaar purandhareeeae || The young girl in the city takes a pitcher, and fills it with water. hasath binodh beechaar karathee hai cheeth s gaagar raakheealae ||2|| She laughs, and plays, and talks with her friends, but she keeps her attention focused on the pitcher of water. mandhar eaek dhuaar dhas jaa kae goo charaavan shhaaddeealae || The cow is let loose, out of the mansion of the ten gates, to graze in the field. paanch kos par goo charaavath cheeth s bashharaa raakheealae ||3|| It grazes up to five miles away, but keeps its attention focused on its calf. kehath naamadhaeo sunahu thilochan baalak paalan poudteealae || Says Naam Dayv, listen, O Trilochan: the child is laid down in the cradle. anthar baahar kaaj biroodhhee cheeth s baarik raakheealae ||4||1|| Its mother is at work, inside and outside, but she holds her child in her thoughts. ||4||1|| Maharaj Ji described in this shabad above that how these worldly people were busy doing something else but their 'dhiaan' or their thoughts (concentration) were busy thinking about something/someone else. So even when these people were with others, they were still with that 'thing' they were 'thinking' about. We must remember God like this. We might be doing something else...but how can this stop you from loving your beloved? You will remember him with every breath escaping your lips... Thats meditation. Thats remembrance...
  14. andrahu jin kaa moh tutaa tin kaa sabad sachai savaari-aa. Those who eradicate attachment from within themselves, are adorned with the Shabad, the Word of the True Lord. kahai naanak ayhu anand hai aanand gur tay jaani-aa. ||7|| Says Nanak, this alone is bliss - bliss which is known through the Guru. ||7|| 'Andradhu' Jin Kaa Moh Tutaa. 'Andradhu': while 'still' living with all these worldly relations, and yet remaining indifferent to the attachment of these from 'within'. Realize that God is in everyone. Love everyone realizing that he exists everywhere. There is nothing but him. Everywhere. You will have no worldly attachments left in you but only his love...and thats no attachment. It must be something else much more fragrant. A pleasant aroma beyond description.
