  4. greetings i was sort of expecting the "hindu" answer, maybe now jasleen kaur ji u can understand my post in another topics, the gold one i think, where i state its funny how everything in sikhi is the "hindus" fault anyway i agree with ladlee fauj once again i believe sikhi is not a democracy, but a dictatorship satguru ji's dictatorship regards Dilrubarb
  5. greetings jasleen kaur ji beautiful name by the way Ofcourse we can question, i agree with you, if we dont question how will we learn? lol I think were just going around in circles now :D a repentant king did it (golden temple) to give honour to his guru maybe gold scribe is honouring the sri adh granth sahib anybody can read the bani in the sri adh granth sahib, no matter if written in gold or in ink, ego doesnt come into it as no one can decide who can and cannot read the teachings contained within it kindest regards Dilrubarb
  6. greetings laadli fauj thank you for your reply i have further questions Catholics refer to the popes as gods man on earth yet he is elected by what are essentially men, in my understanding, i could be wrong, if i am correct i do not agree with the electing business how is the head of this akal takht, the jathedar chosen ? regards Dilrubarb
  7. with regards to the right honourable ladie's post above Jasleen k why make a bir out of gold script ? why laden the sri adh granth sahib with the finest silk ? why have a golden temple ? also you seem to insert a smiley after a strong statement as if that makes it okay so have u ever wondered 'why' about the questions raised above ? i think you are trying to solve a problem which doesnt exist kindest regards Dilrubarb P.S I apologise if the tone of my post seems strong, i do not wish to offend you or anyone else on this forum, i do not have the intellectuality to phrase the above in a 'nicer' way, forgive me ...
  8. greetings for me who has very little knowledge on anything what is the akal takht ? takht means throne ? akal as in timeless, immortal ...? attributes which cannot be defined to humans regards Dilrubarb
  9. Greetings "gold gold ! always believe in your soul ...." It seems I have caused much confusion, let me clarify myself Having briefly read through the posts on this topic, posts such as maya, whats the need, its good, shardha etc ... All I am trying to say is would we have the same views if members of other faiths did the same, i think not , i think there would be posts with negative views. From reading through this forum, Hindus = bad, Muslims = bad .... There seems to be a lot of fanaticism brewing amongst youth in this forum However, all this is my opinion, i can be wrong also, apologies for the confusion, and apologies in advance, didnt mean to offend anyone, Regards Dilrubarb
  10. Greetings ! oh dearest sarpanch jio what great seva you are doing for the panth by raising issues such as these . also im not sure of the origins of the singh sabha movement, didnt they originate at the time of the damned british raj in india which has caused much diversion in our beloved panth maybe you could educate regards Dilrubarb
  11. Greetings apne jio, you may have read my post but do you understand it ? i am not saying whether the above mentioned holy books are comparable to the sri adh granth sahib. as i am sure members of other religions would say the same as you but probably in a better way !! i am simply putting forward a view of whether some people on this forum, would have the same view of if a muslim was to write out the holy quran in gold and also if i do think about how other religions conduct themselves with their respected scribes it is not for you to tell me that i am wasting my time regards dilrubarb
  12. greetings ! i wonder wether some of us would have the same views if it was a christian doing the same thing with the holy bible, or a muslim with the holy quran or a hindu with the gita ? or would we have different views ? something to mull over regards Dilrubarb
  13. greeetings user above pardada to the billionth power hahaha loving it ! i didnt know there were members here with a sense of humour regards dilrubarb !
  14. Greetings ... "If BAD DOES NOT PREVAIL WHAT GOOD IT IS TO BE GOOD" i am interpreting your question as follows: if bad does not prevail ... with the kirpa of www.dictionary.com i have found the following meaning to prevail ... to be widespread or current; exist everywhere or generally. then what good is it to be good ... im interpreting this as what is to be gained by being good, or whats the point of being good so collectively i interpret your question as ... if 'badness' * is not widespread or exist in the forground what is to be gained by being good, because goodness must by default be existing in more abundance if bad never prevails. Now, the good to be gotten out of being good is that badness itself doesnt prevail, if there was no goodness bad would prevail In Kaljug badness is prevailing so there is good to be gained by being good ! i hope this is a sufficient answer regards Dilrubarb ! P.S * please forgive the word badness !
  15. hi do ho although i agree with the guy/girl who correctly states that the sikhitothemax guy/girl added the "father of mankind bit" in gurbani it is written that "he bestowed his grace on adam" why then do we still not believe in adam ? just because bhagath kabeer wrote the shabad doesnt make it any less true than our Satguru ji's shabads as somebody says "he used his abrahmic views" on any other post on this forum many members will be quick to point out that the shabads in the Sri Adh Granth Sahib are true, so why not again here please dont be so quick to dismiss it it will be interesting to hear you replies regards Dilrubarb !
  16. i dont understand what you are saying could you please rephrase regards Dilrubarb !

  20. Hello I dont agree with post above #4, Sarbat Da bhalla, im my understanding it does mean good wishes upon everyone because when you say sarbat da bhalla you are yourself included in the everybody. In my understanding Bhalla means "something good to happen to you" or something to that effect you know how the punjabi saying goes "oh tera bhalla hoe" ... Regards Dilrubarb
