the problem is that many don't even understand what the reality of whole 84 scenario was, and what the sikhs really wanted. The histroy that happened in the last century was so unique to our faith that many have forgotten the great sacrifices of the guru ki pyare who freed the gurudwarea, the pyare who lost thier lives in the partition, the pyare who passed away during the 78 sakka, we all want to jump on a band wagon but the point we forget is that the sacrifices were acheived only by those who had a jeevan and were prepared to die for their guru, we sitting in here in the west don't have an ounce of jeevan compared to these great gursikhs, yet we pretend to know the in's and out's of the 84 saka, it was a dark time in our past and many great sikhs become shaeed but if you listen to sant jis speeches he does emphasise the need to be a Gursikh first and urge others to become one as well. Let us first try to comprehend what it means to be a gursikh before we shout the khalistan narea, gursikhi bareek aa, and virlea can past the test when the need is must.

akaash radio plays SDO's bagwaas every sunday morning, on one hand they call themselves panthic on the other you hear this man talking rubbish and discredting everthing the panth believes in !!! so if it closes perhaps it should have listened to what it was playing... you can't have it both ways, serve the panth and then play stuff which talks about how Guru Granth sahib ji can't be our guru becus it can't remove a fly, how harmandhir sahib isn't pavitar at all, the list is endless... when he was queried on why he continues to play these tapes his answer was we should take the good and ignore the bad !!!! umm the best courts that i've seen in the area with transport are in Oadby, the university courts, i'm sure you could arrange something with the uni to hire them, they are first class courts, and there are courts there which aren't brilliant but good.

Veer ji, in light of recent events, if a kirtan program is held in memory of someone, it doesn't mean they delibrately are clashing etc, we shouldn't jump to assumptions, in times like this the more kirtan and ardassa a departed soul can receive the better, we should learn to look at the bigger picture, our ardassa and thoughts should be with Dulla ji and his family....

I disagree with the concept that 2 senchiya put on top of each other can be the same as a Bir, the bir is one jilad, there is only 1 index, etc, only a full bir can be guru granth sahib, though i agree with all the respect points in reference to the senchiya. The question really comes back to how much we respect Gurbani, as some have pointed out that without action we are kind of just galai asiea chungiyea, achiyarea buriya... the utmost respect we can give is to embed the Gurbani in our soul and mind and pray that we continously live our life according to Gurbanis teachings, then we are showing repect to Gurbani.

You have highlighted an age old problem of actually understanding what is Guru Granth Sahib Ji in context of Bani and Guru, many simply use the tuk bani guru, gur hai bani, without understanding the context in which this was written, the reality is that even a piece of paper with Bani written on is guru as per the tuk but how many actually rever it as such ??? the other problem lie's within Gurudwara themselves they manage to do more beadbhi then the average gursikh does in a life time, the multiple saroops not being prakashed, the biraad saroops not being looked after, gutkea not being give the proper respect, senchiya sometimes just piled up without rumulla like books etc etc etc... again many who proclaim to be stopping beadhbi conveintently turn a blind eye to gutkea or senchiya being kept at relatives who are not amritdhari, what is the difference ??? the beahdbi is still happening ??? The reality is until there are standard protcols passed on the respect concept there will always be loopholes for those who wish to expose, expose. We really need to understand Gurbani more and more, until then all this is just a band wagon which will properly end up with people starting to remove Bira from gurudwarea where the sangat doesn't have a proper granthi per someone else's marayada !!!

The one thing which does come out of this is that many will not understand the concept of shabad guru, the BBC won't, ek-nivas won't and baba vadbhag won't, the sad news is that many of us so called sikhs don't understand and respect it either, how many of the youth that was there actually understand what Guru ji says us to day in day out ??? Was going to ask those who have written such verse and chapter that have they been through all the tuks relating to sant ??? if they have I don't think you would be sitting on the net trying to prove that chaning the word to devotee makes a lot of difference, what is a sant ??? is it not a devottee who has full sharda and bhavna in Guru Ji ??? first work what you are talking about in relation to the word sant ??? to become a sant you have to be devoted to something first, we may all think we are in the devotees category but look inwards and realise we are not even in the sikh category with the way we have written our emails...
