Fateh Ji I recently attended the Hayes smagam and also Khalsa Camp 09. In their katha, Gianni Thakur Singh ji iterated the amount of satkaar that should be shown to SGGSJ. Eg. when visiting and leaving the darbar hall, a matha taek should occur. They then went on to say that even if a pillar comes in between yourself and SGGSJ during one's movement in the darbaar hall, a matha taek should occur. Along the similar lines, Bhai Surjit Singh ji at Khalsa Camp 09 iterated that during kirtan the visual link between the kirtani and SGGSJ should be maintained. For example, once a sevadaar was no longer required to do choar sahib di seva, he was not allowed to walk between SGGSJ and the kirtani - he would have to go along the other side of SGGSJ. To what extent should this marayada be followed? And what is it's significance? I know a number of friends who do Parkarma of SGGSJ. Surely this will break everyone's visual link with SGGSJ. Typically at Bradford December Reinsabahi, parkarma was not allowed to take place and a box between the kirtani and SGGSJ was placed there to prevent this. And when a couple during their lavaan are carrying out a parkarma? This will bring into question this marayada's clarity. Thanks in advance for your responses

Can the sangat please request the CAMERA MAN who takes up 32% of the male sangat's seating area to please place his camera to the side or to the back???? It is really unfair that people behind him can't see the kirtanee. it is really a struggle not to have some sort of focal point, especiallly for weak individuals like myself. I appreciate that the Camera man provides other non-attendees with vision etc etc.. - but filiming from the side, next to the wall would not hurt any of the sangat. bhul chuk maaf karna

Thanks 2) Aimed at Papi a) in my original post i stated that i maintained a level of humility. i also stated that i informed my friend - if i had taken his crisps, i too would have pollutted his crisps. I think you need to read the post properly. "If someone told me he won't eat the food I touched because it's now polluted, I would be highly offended." you are insane to think this given the fact that he tells you that if he ate your crisps - he would have pollutted yours too. Level playing field mate. b) how can you say "it's unhygenic to share food". the concept of vand kay shakna is all about sharing. and the concept of langar is about sharing food. Again, if you read my post properly - i asked you to formulate a technical response for me. you have failed to offer anything. c) Further, your comment "Sucham was not there in the first place, how do you know the person who was involved in making the Crisps kept sucham?" is completely irrelevant. I asked you to explain how I can explain the concept of sucham. 2) Aimed at everyone : it's amazing how people can't explain the concept of "jhooth" and "sucham". 3) Aimed at everyone : my friend is a gora.. i can't say "it's jhootha". 4) Aimed at Prabhjoyt Kaur : so it's ok for me to eat the crisps if my friend wasn't a meat eater??? Fateh I was having lunch with my mates in the park. I moved onto my crisp packet (Walkers Cheese and Onion). I only had a couple of crisps. I then had to answer a phone calll. It was just a sales call from O2. Despite me actually being with O2. I quickly but politely hung up. By which time my mate (who had just finished a ham sandwich) reached out and took a pinch full of crisps from my bag. I played it cool. Knowing that sucham had gone. This would have been the case even if his sandwich wasn't ham. So I refrained from eating the crisps. He got upset. So I explained that his action had polluted my crisps. I maintained a level of humilty and said that if i had taken his crisps - i would have polluted his crisps too. He seemed slightly confused but was happy to finish my crisps off. Can anyone break down in a sensible, technical and jargon-free manner for me to clear his confusion re: sucham? Analogies would be most appreciated. Ta

they do amazing seva and have a lot of internet skills if they were not working full time on sikhnet, they'd be earning alot more. how else do you expect these sevadaar's to support their family? and make up for the life they would have had economically if they had not been required to put in time into the site.

hi all can the very kind sevadaars who are organising this event please shed their thoughts on the following: 1) i love attending reinsabai's but the problem i experienced at smethwick and leicester recently was that the sikhi to the max was on one side only. this makes it very difficult for the one part of the sangat (male or female) to enjoy the STTM. especially when more sangat is coming and quing to do matha taek. will there be a parband of some sort like there is for eg. at derby guirdwara where male and female STTM? maybe i could bring my local gurdwara's projector aswell? although i will be arriving from leeds. thanks
