  1. Okay, that seems true, now that i think about I read in some earlier thread that one can cover it with a sweatband, which seems like a better idea.
  2. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh I have some questions too Would it be ok to tie an extra kara inside keski and then take the one on my wrist off? Also, if someone here happens to have experience.. what is the best way to tie dastaar if one does martial arts that includes throws? (i've been a bit worried about this.. :umm: ) Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh
  3. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh, ask them to bring malmal it's much thinner than full voile and easier to tie. VJKK, VJKF
  4. How beautiful! they seem to be wanting to get on the video
  5. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh Here's one! But i became a sikh for other reasons than a partner. I was also a muslim for some time before finding out about Sikhi. I can tell more if you're interested! (interesting list, btw.. didn't know before that Macauliffe actually converted to sikhi) Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh!
  6. Here's one about sikh warriors and soldiers: http://sikhfoundation-store.org/catalog/pr...products_id=140
  7. Beautiful explanation veer ji. I was really struck by the power of these bhagat Kabeer ji's words when i read them for the first time. But i was so puzzled especially by the part where he says he's mute, insane, deaf and crippled. I had no idea it could mean so many things, and otherwise too.. it all makes sense now. Yes, I'm really from Finland. :D Hello to you too. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh!
  8. I came across a copy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji too in the university's library here. It was printed in devanagari though, so i thought then that at least it's not in gurmukhi. But it's still the same message and same Guru ji's bani. And it was in one volume. But i agree that it's important that people would have the access to Gurbani even when they can't go to Gurdwara or have an internet to read it. Maybe some booklet could be attached telling that Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is not "just a book" and some guidelines about the proper way to show respect to it. I mean someone who borrows Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji must have at least some interest in sikhi, and if they only had the right information and realized the importance of it, they wouldn't mind handling Gurbani with at least some care and respect.
  9. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh! What do you think Bhagat Kabeer ji means by this? 10. Being in the panj piaare is about love and dedication for Guru ji and sikhi, that's why Guru ji called them PIAARE, just simply his five beloved ones, it doesnt make a difference whether one's a Kaur or a Singh.
