Manmohan Kaur bhenji...i agree with u 1500%! i mean besides creating an atmosphere of non-sikhi in the house, u r also forced to suppress ur own religious beliefs to keep the heart of ur partner in most situations...and isn't marriage in sikhi a closer step to god? how can u be a lover of guru if u can't live contently within ur religion?

i read a book: SIKHS AND SIKHISML; A VIEW WITH A BIAS....BY I.J. SINGH it is mentioned in there tht sikhi does not have any food taboos and tht some gurdwaras serve meat and alcohol....he says in guru arjun dev ji's time a sikh donated fish to langar and it was served.... don't believe a word of it....wanna go beat up I.J. COWARD right now!!!!

i don't see much similarities...mool manta defines the saroop of Akal Purakh...while the quran is basically saying to be put ur faith in Allah...not really the same in that sense and how come u can read arabic but not gurmukhi?....jk
