  1. Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh! Im look for this shabad but cant seem to find it. Im looking for the full shabad and the translations. It is 13var given to Gurusahib when they were given the gurgaddi. It is someyime mentioned in ardas; nimaania de maan nithaania de thaan. Any help is appreciated.
  2. I though the paath of sikhi was to remember Waheguru Maharaj 24/7, so how can doing alot of Baani be a bad thing, or compare to black magic (we dont live in cuckoo land, do we?). There are tons of sant mahapursh that spent so much of their time doing Bhagti to the point were each of their roam was reciting Baani. We should aspire to be like them, so naturally we do actually need to pull our fingers out and read Grbani. And if you not going to join in with the sewa keep ur snidey lil comments to yourselves! Agree with the two above thers a helluve lot of lazy ppl, Maharaj Kirpa kare!
  3. You have made a very good suggestion, especially about Giani's. I have been involved in work with the UKBA they govern the immigration procedures for getting Giani's into the country. They have made new tighter systems when calling Giani's over and also what to do if something goes wrong. They have stated that any Giani who goes AWOL from work or is found doing anti Gurmat activities even if they are not doing a criminal act-smoking,drinking etc. should be reported to them. If they cannot stay within the requirements of their jobs they can be deported. If anyone does come across any Giani's doing something anti-Gurmat they should be reported to UKBA so that they can take action.
  4. Thank you, Is this saakhi recorded anywhere like Suraj Prakash Granth?
  5. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh A while back in December Veer Manpreet Singh did some katha to do with the shabad of Tuhi Tuhi. The kirtan and most of the katha was recorded but not th epart where he talks about Tuhi Tuhi. I vaguely remember it was about Guru Gobind Singh Ji maharaj reciting the bani of linking all things to Waheguru and one of his diciples(forgot the name) started to write down what Maharaj was saying. In the end Maharaj opened his eyes and saw that the SIngh was sittting and writing what he had recited. He asked the Singh what have you written, he replied I have written Tuhi Tuhi, some 13000 times. I was looking for the details of this saakhi and full Tuhi Tuhi shabad. Thanks in advance, bhul chuk maaf as I am not too sure of the details of the saakhi. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  6. Its a tough question but I would estimate that there are 2% of the x million Sikhs that are Amritdhari or Religious Sikhs the other 98% are ethnic Sikhs.
  7. I think some people are slightly confused. The girl who wanted to be given a place in the uni was asking for a reserved seat for Sikhs, the rest of the places for non sikhs etc were already taken. She was denied that seat on the basis that she doesnt keep kesh. She doesnt deserve the seat if she cant follow one of the basic tenents of Sikhi, surely she must show some dedication to the faith as an entrance criteria?
  8. Typical response from a bhramanical government. I love ur add ons!^^^^
  9. This decision does seem harsh and does automatically wipeout 98% of the Sikh community, however Sikhi has never been about numbers. We need good quality Sikhs! Perhaps those now outcasted will feel motivated to be a part of the Panth. Well hopefully!
  10. The thread is about 'NO HUMAN GURU. NO GURU AFTER DHAN GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI' the whole thread focuses on this topic on so called fake babas and gurus saying the they are the successors to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I simply mentioned the kookay and the flaws in them using the chaubis avtaar theory. I follow Gur Dasam Darbar as being writings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj as take the writings to be Satbachan. So who does this apply to?
  11. [VISNU`S TWENTY-FOUR INCARNATIONS] Chaubis Avtaar is the incarnation of Vishnu, is the kookay baba a confused hindu??? The kookay have had five (inc-the new dude) other baba's 100 years after Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj does that not mean that they are on the 28th avtaar or something so technically not chaubis (24) avtaar???
  12. Read-The Gallant Defender written by AR Darshi
  13. This can work both ways, where have you seen it been written that there is another Guru after Guru Granth Sahib Ji? One of the other posters have already said that from the time of Guru Amardas Ji all the Guru sahibs have been in the same bloodline, this was due to the request of Bibi Bhani. Why would they Guru sahibs break that promise? I have said it before through the life of all Das Guru Sahibs, all their works and bachan were compiled as well as other holy men and Gur Granth Sahib Ji was created. As Guru Granth Sahib Ji has been COMPLETED why is there a need for baba x to come in and steer his oar? This is going to seem a bit 'taboo' but was there a need for Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale? Because I'm sure he has Sant and Baba in front of his name? Yes Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa does have Sant and Baba in front of his name. The term Sant is defined in Sukhmani Sahib Ji da Paath and so is given to people who can demonstrate those qualities. But there are fundamental differences he NEVER gave himself a higher status than Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He NEVER sat at the same level or higher than Guru Maharaj. He ALWAYS preached that Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our father and we should bow only to them. He did not say he is the next Sikh Guru or call himself Guru. Can my questiosn be answered now?
  14. Just because they knew it was happening does not mean that they could have done anything to move it or prevent it. Where could they have taken it? (any suggestions) Let me ask you if GOI were attacking Harmander Sahib for a particular purpose what was the need to attack the other 50 Gurughar? To be honest you seem to be saying why did the Singhs not surrendar to the GOI outside the Gurughar.

  16. Oi u! Leave the Forum!

  17. I would like to go back to the initial post and say that the issues your having at your Gurdwara are not going to be solved on a forum. It would be best for you to deal with the Gurdwara in question.
  18. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh You still are not answering the question, Guru Nanak Dev Ji wrote Aarti for Sikhs whether or not hindu's etc have the same or similar practice does not matter. We shouldnt dwell on what other faiths do or practice instead need to focus on what Guru Sahib has given to us. How can you preach the importance of Bani etc. and then slander Aarti that is Bani aswell? Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  19. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh This is where I am confused, you keep mentioning aarti- it was actually written by Guru Nanak Dev Ji and is bani. How can you say it is ritualistic? Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  20. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, Yes I agree, and you've just stated my point, so what part does ritualism play within Bani? Why do we have the need for rituals and approaches to Sikhi which just ARE NOT Sikhi, when we're young like 5 or 6 yeah ok we accept what happens at Guru Ghar because we know no better, but now we as Sikh adults, don't we have the right to question these rituals that are taking place in Guru Ghars all over the world, is this really Sikhi? or are we just adopting approaches to seem more like an 'orthodox' belief system, rather than giving Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj our full vishwaas? Extremist views and nonsensical belief is not Sikhi, blind faith is no faith at all, its lacking the ability to interpret, learn and question. There are several stories within Sikhi which fully support this view as well as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, so why in this day and age are we still reverting to following practices which have no place in a monotheistic equal righteous humanitarian religion such as Sikhi, which places no value on superstitions! Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I am slightly confused which practices are we supposed to be questioning? Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
