  1. Sunny I think you may start reading some political philosophy related to John Locke, Thomas Jefferson and the American Revolution and also read up on the Iranian revolution which engendered a Theocratic state. Also dont forget history of Guru Hargobind Jee and his micro-governance. You have the right questions but no one can give you the answers unless you inquire into it yourself.
  2. Brother you are so right about this point that someday we will realize how childish we were in thinking about worldly things. One must began by inquiring within their self instead looking for something corporeal in the world. I feel there is this age when we try to find a goal to lean on yet we don't deliberate on those goals. Some people remain and never change nor care to think within and always rely on what they see and feel. A lot of youngsters online who I relate to when I was young with a peevish attitude towards many issues. I think this seems to be a phase we all must experience and come out of it and hopefully realize what needs to be realized. Revolutions aren't just radical ideas, Revolutions are violent and requires blood. Name me one peaceful revolution that underwent a non-violent transmutation. Again we cannot teach anyone what SIKHI is, it has been laid out in the SGGS and we all must not read it like a ritual but understand the depth of its meaning and must use it for everyday life. what use is reading the SGGS if we dont it? Practical experience leads to many good paths. I hope we all have a good journey with whatever experiences we are facing or will face in the future.
  3. Please this is a child's dream of attaining a sovereign nation without blood. The truth is, it is a historical fact, that no one has gained freedom without sacrificing blood. History has yet to experience alteration. I have read about KOSOVO and there are still thousands of orphan kids whose parents were killed in extra-judicial killings by Serbian militias and some were caught in cross fighting. Even til today the serbian claim KOSOVO as part of their nation. There was so much bloodshed especially due to the NATO intervention that you will still see the bloody signs today in KOSOVO. Surely KOSOVO may claim their independence but it still is one of the corrupted and unstable nations in the world. Drug and women trafficking is very common for the KOSOVON people in order to win bread for their family. Anyway, my point, is independence may lead to another nation like KOSOVO. The international community cannot do much, unless there is a unrest in a community and there is enough bloodshed. If such conditions exist and I believe it is the perfect pretext to wage war for independence. The middle eastern uproars are completely different from the present Sikh/Punjab conditions. Currently Punjab is not faced with economic distraction nor with social inconsistencies, therefore it becomes tedious to find a fault in the governance of GOI. Plus, 1984 has turned into an old blood stain and wont evoke much feelings of patriotism among the Punjabi Sikhs. My suggestion for the Sikhs is to collaborate with all Punjabis, including Hindus, muslims, christians and find a common fault in the governance of India in order to began a war of independence. Remember Unity is everything when it comes to war and it will become hard for Indian forces to control all punjabis whereas if Sikhs fight alone it will be much easier to subdue them, like they have done in the awake of 1984.
  4. ਅਾਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਅਾ ਟਾਰਨੀਟ just slight mistake.
  5. I agree with GPS that the Naxalite movement was interdependent on Sikh or Punjabi jathabandi's in Punjab to carry out propaganda and their socio-economic agenda. The communist idea is not something new in Punjab, in fact it is very common for the university student in Punjab (even today) to come across Bhagat Singh and his influence from the Bolshevik Revolution and various text by Lenin and Mao. One of the main reasons for Naxalite failure in Punjab was the ideological shift from the initial adoptation of the west bengal movement (To start a Revolution and a complete turnover of the current political and social conditions in order to set a stage for socialism) in to something different. The naxalite leadership in Punjab began to initiate peaceful dialogues, which is very anti-communist. When the Naxalites were enforcing their agrarian policies in a lot of the villages in Punjab by killing the landlords and distributing land, a division occurred in west bengal which I believe affected the Punjab leadership of the naxalites as well. So, the vitality of the west bengal leadership weakend due to some ideological differences and mostly because of selfish leaders which affected every other naxalite movement. The Naxalites faded away from the scene completely as an independent entity by the 1980s by emerging with the Akalis. Although there were stil many communist elements in the ananpur resolution if one reads it or the Sikh movement itself. I must disagree with Neverforget84dotcom when he generalizes the Atheist being the black cats, whereas the truth is almost 90% of the cats were Sikhs. Once again this is not the point I am wanting to discuss, I believe Punjab can survive as an independent nation without the help of India. I hope to write a paper on why Punjab or any nation has the right to secede and through what methods. Punjab is a very interesting location for a revolution due to its diversity of problems shared by all Punjabis whether hindu, sikh or muslim or atheist. Again I hope we can all read more about Communism and especially about Mao Zedong or just read political philosophy in general. Just because communism aspires a atheistic bases for their agenda does not mean Sikhs cannot edit some of the elements in order to suit their revolution. Mao Zedong brought a new communism to his china, where the peasantry would overthrow the government and THE RUSSIANS WERE LAUGHING. History has spoken that Mao succeeded and brought the Russian Communists to their knees and I believe Religious Communalism can work. We dont even have to call it communism if it bothers us that much. But only a political movement will succeed in Punjab, although I cannot overlook the possibility of an religious overthrow which was a fiasco in the past.
  6. I think I can agree on some of the points highlighted below. The Manpreet guy seems to be someone who will end up going back to the badal dal and it seems as if it is a political stunt by the akalis to gain some sort of attention (God knows what). I must say, that a new political movement is needed in Punjab and it could be a democratic socialist movement...it does not have to be in the hands of the communists, nonetheles all policies must be relative to the agrarian reform and political cleansing (must keep religious disagreement at a distance). A agrarian support will take a aggressive stand against Badal and the central government because even in many parts of India people are struggling with land reforms. Especially among dalit and adivasi communities who are offered land, yet nothing.
  7. You are mistaken COMMUNISM is a Socio-economic ideology, not just an economic theory. If Mao Zedong could have his own version of communism, so could the religious people. You just answered yourself, how religion could be part of communism.
  8. I must agree with one of the posts above that communist movement or a political movement is most like to succeed in Punjab rather than a religious movement. We as Sikhs are so ignorant of Communist Ideology that we overlook some of the great things it offers. Religious Communism is a great platform for Punjab and especially when all religions aspire after the ethical fruits of individual actions. Even Bhai Sahib Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar read lenin's interpretation of Marx and Engels ideas on effective revolutions. Communism was very popular among the farmers in punjab during the 60s and 70s without a doubt. Russia was a totalitarian regime. It was not even a socialist economy, far away from communism. Have you read anything on Cuba and its economic growth with the trade embargo? wow. Che Guevara was a revolutionarya and he died a revolutionary. Yes, Harkishan singh Surjeet was the head of the communist party. You dont have to be an ATHEIST to be a communist, although that is what Marx wanted but who is following Marxism-Communism anyway, right? haha
  9. Dont post anymore and dont worry about the girl. she will find someone else. Go ahead experience life in serving saints and find for yourself. Dont waste too much time posting online, it will only alter your decision in to marrying and not doing anything you think you would do. So good luck!!
  10. well fateh sangat jee, I am thinking about starting a local online directory website with other sub sites. But I need help with deciding if I should get a dedicated server or just hosting?and also I have some other questions if someone is willing to help me please PM me. I have a real good business idea where I live and I wouldnt mind sharing that idea with others who are interested.
  11. ok so sangat jee I have been trying to buy a new phone lately but nothing catches my eye in the market. I've had two iphones in the past so do many people, but I am already tired of the iphone. So just wondering if there is another hi tech phone maybe better then iphone? price doesnt matter lol
  12. so what if muslims take over the continent of europe.....i mean they are people like us, just with few more kids lol.
  13. yeh Hitler was pretty darn good. Then Otto Bismarck, Julius Caesar, Fidel Castro, mao zedong, Vo giap, Robert E. lee, Ghenghis Khan, oliver cromwel, Napoleon the first and many more..
  14. Fateh sadh sangat ji, I've been thinking for three days and also discussed it with my friends that who is really responsible for the killing. As we know Badal and his party was supported by Sacha Sauda Dera in the elections and Badals daughter-in-law won by 90000 votes in bathinda region. So Badal decided he has to help the Sacha sauda baba because he helped him in the elctions. Badal then decides to hide the Sacha sauda issue in punjab by sending a hindu guy of RSS inside darbar sahib who jumped on the peera of SGGS jee but that didnt catch much attention in punjab and the issue was gone. Then badal decides he will send a radhaswami who pour water on a granthi but that issue didnt catch enough attenion to forget about the Sacha Sauda dera issue. So finnaly RSS/BADAL planned to attack the ravidasi sant in austria and it did work. Now we have forgotten about gurmeet ram rahim issue, and started a new issue. Great job Badal Sahib, you are a genius.
  15. Did Washington go through the process of democracy to be the first president?I dont think so...WestPoint is known during and before the revolution as a important high ground by hudson river, so what <banned word filter activated> couldn't come up with the idea of making westpoint an American military station atleast, if not an academy. Washington didnt do anything for westpoint, it was Col Thayer who went to europe and collected alot of information for the institution. Sure Damdami Taksal is a religious institution, but it was no less then a military training camp as well for the singhs back then. You are the one who asked "did any of the sikhs of the khalsa raj do anything similar?" and Taksal is pretty similar or the nagoke camps that were established at the village nagoke in the 70's. You bet I know, but that's his physical features that are not important. you said he was a visionary and I completely disagree, but he was a military leader, a enthusiastic person who made farmers in to a fierce militia, other then that he had nothing. Alexander Hamilton was a better military leader, a political philosopher, and a economist. Washington wasn't needed, but he is already in history so cant take him out, its too late. Yeh I thought food was the only thing that was sold during the war  , you are a genius. thanks for letting me know. Its like saying are you sure kids are intelligent? of course there are going to be some nutjob parent who is lost in the society. lol. Good point though, but it can go both ways.
  16. Well mate I lived in new york city for about 5 years when I was a junior high student but now I am attending Berkley. I believe New york city has flags for each borough like Manhattan has its own flag then Brooklyn and three other boroughs. Maybe thats what you are referring to? We used to have that at our school flag poles so yeh those are borough flags, with a state flag and a American flag.
  17. So what is your point? Is it right for people to destroy homes and lives because of someone else's mistakes? Sure George Washington thought West point was strategic and significant to the "American Revolution" and to the colonies back then, but even a retired private first class could tell the American people to establish a Military academy and then die. Col. Thayer was the key person for the academy, not george washington. Why do you think BABA DEEP SINGH became the jathedar of DAMDAMI TAKSAL? just cuz he thought it would be cool to establish a school for the sikh nation? He supported the federalist after he claimed to be a neutral leader. He didnt even have a college degree to be a decent leader politically, not to mention strategically. He became the president because he was a hero in the revolutionary war, who fought 9 battles and lost 6 of them. Again he was a still a good military leader because he fought for the right cause, but he had very less knowledge on strategic part of it. I still respect him for the reason he refused to be the king. American Revolution could've been won even if George Washington didnt exist. WOW...haha..so what is your point? even a shopkeeper could come up with that, when it comes to saving the economy? which <banned word filter activated> wouldnt sell food to the two sides who are fighting each other and you are supplying them for profit?....I dont think we need president washington to point that out buddy. You want to make personal attacks?or you want a productive post?....Don't you think a political analyst is as important as a lawyer/doctor or a engineer? if you dont then you are dumb. look mate you are talking about kids, and kids are irresponsible and not in touch with the society compare to their elders. Why do people switch majors at universities?because the lack of guidence by the parents or other adult figures in their life. yeh the french and the americans fought together and the french deserve the credit for bringing their ships, but leaders like benjamin franklin knew what was the king of france up to, so franklin decided to have his own secret peace treaty with the british withought giving the french a invitation, so which resulted in a alliance break up. The french were helping the americans so they could defeat the british and gain their lost territories back from the english. the french had no desire to help the american people, well atleast the king didnt care. Thats why we helped the french people with their revolution against their own king who helped the americans in the revolution for independence.
  18. This is why you will fail. Lets suppose we have a good khalistani militant group and they have great skills for being a guerrilla group, but after the revolution what kind of government will we have?what kind of society we will have?how would the political and social infrastructure work?Who would rule?who will make the rules?if we have a democracy would it be fair for the minorities? We need to think about this before we go on about being a military person. Anyone can shoot a gun when there are bombs dropping from the sky, but how many can actually think of a decent and a fair political and social structure for everyone residing inside a country?
  19. I am a American Sikh and a undergrad student. If you think George Washington was a visionary then you have a lot of reading to do my brother....but he sure was a military genius but nothing close to a political or social vissionary. During the revolution his military under his command destroyed towns of the Iroquois Indians which held women and children. If George was a visionary he would've not had slaves or would never buy more land around the United States and would not need to have 3 houses. After the revolution, he just didnt give a rats <banned word filter activated> about anyone because he was a hero all around and needed no worry. So people before you try to be a military genius or be a military personality, try to be a visionary, a philospher or atleast open minded so you can call yourself a true revolutionary. A Philoshper cannot be a revolutionary, but a Revolutionary has to be a philospher. Please don't follow this advise and always guide your kids to be Doctors/Lawyers/Engineers. Young kids can be attached to anything from porn to leadership skills, but that shouldn't give a child the right to go for a porn career. Its up to the parents who have more life experience to decide and let their children know the positive and a important path according to the society we live inside. Children need to know whats important and what will help the Sikh community. We need more political Analyst for a political change and we need more Philosophers for a social change. Democracy is not the way for Khalistan at all. The only reason the French helped the Americans because of the French apposition to the british because of canadian territory issues and there was no massive french help to the American. The American Revolution was mostly run by Americans and fought by Americans.
