I have heard in Katha and read in some books that Guru Ji requested Sri Chand to compose Gurbani. SC Ji just altered the siharia in the Salok of seventeenth Ashtpadhee. Guru Ji's reason was to show respect to the son of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharajh. Guru Ji would never suffer from writer's block it was just a symbol of respect. Sri Guru Ramdas Ji Maharajh said to SC that their long beard was for dusting the charan of Mahapursh such as yourself. Again it must be understood that it takes a mighty person to show such nimrtah (humble). Some Sikhs will strongly disagree with the above but it all boils down to personal sharda.
Thanks for the upload. When I saw this upload I was pleasantly reminded by the Gurbani repititions that I undertook in order to improve my health and other specific problems that I had to face from time to time. I used this Granth on many occasions and it helped immensley. P.S. Faith can move mountains.

When we take Amrit and embark on the Naam Simran path , our spiritual awakening goes through several stages before we become totally infused with the Lord. If anyone Gursikh can spend about twenty hours a day for about three months on Simran they will reach a stage where Prakash has taken place and as such they will feel as if Naam Simran is taking place inside without actively engaging in it. There also comes a stage where Naam becomes so sweet that the material pleasure tatstes all seem tasteless. There is nothing wrong with physical relations with one's spouse. The only time it would be wrong is when the kaam vaashna (sexual desire) takes us away from nitnem/naam simran etc. Sri Guru Tegh Bhadhur Ji Maharajh said that a man should show his love to his wife and vice versa but never ever in the wildest dreams should one contemplate extra marital sex.
9. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. When Bhadhur Shah went to meet Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj his eyes became transfxed on the stunningly beautiful daughter of a Gursikh. Even whilst engaging in conversation with Guru Ji BS could not avert his attention away from the girl. BS even hinted that such a beautiful girl should be given to him. Guru Ji being antarjami knew the inner thoughts of BS and as such told him that they would send the girl to him. After BS left the Sikh girl was totally devastated at Guru Ji's remarks. She felt let down by Guru Ji. Guru Ji told her to keep faith and everything will be well. Guru Ji appointed two Gursikhs to accompany the girl to BS's residence. When BS saw the girl from a distance he was elated. As the girl came closer BS could see two massive fierce loins with the girl. The lions were so fierce that BS almost poohed in his pants. BS started screaming and ordered his guards to send the girl away forthwith. This put an end to BS's lusty thoughts. Never ever for even one nano second feel that Guru Ji are not here today. Do ardas to Guru Maharajh and ask for the same protection. Do ardas from the heart and with full faith. The result will be amazing. Please share with the Sangat the end result.
10. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. Does anyone know if Gyani Avtar Singh Badhni have completed the SGGS Katha? Have they done beyond Ang 836? Please advise.

12. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. To be successful in life do the following: After ishnaan engage in reading Gurbani daily. Reflect on what you are reading. Attempt to adopt what Gurbani is saying. Gurbani is knowledge/wisdom but it also has spriitual phall. When we read Gurbani thousands of our paap are removed and as such our life becomes more pleasant. We should strive for the ulimate sukh , i.e. Shanti (peace of mind) , this will only come about through nitnem of Gurbani. The sidhanth (core/central theme) is to remember Waheguru. Spend at least two and a half hours daily on Gurbani and the results will speak for themselves.
13. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. You can download from: http://www.gurbanifiles.org There is the Sikh Missionary Society , Feathersone Road , Southall (they have an abundance of Translated Gurbani books).
14. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. Read Gurbani daily , reflect on Gurbani , and attempt to live life accrdingly. Spend at least two and a half hours per day on Gurbani.
15. If Punjab gained independence from India and became Khalistan will there be another sikh holocaust? What will be fate of Sikhs outside Punjab? Will it be another Pakistan/India style partition where one million lives were lost? Sikhs will be asked to give up their Sardari if they wish to retain their property outside of Punjab. Sikhs will have to adopt Hinduism if they want to stay in" Hindustan". Will there be enough work , land , economic opportunities for all the Sikhs who will be forced to leave India? I am an Amritdhari Sikh and I am going to say something that may offend some people , so I apologise in advance. As Sikhs we can't even run a Gurdwara committee together let alone a country. I am not criticising any commitee member , I am criticising myself for not being able to accept all the terms and condtions of a particular committee. The non-Punjabi Sikhs in India are content in living in India. They are a prosperous community. There is good social cohesion between themselves and other communities. They are outside Punjab since Punjab cannot accommodate all ecomomic opportunities. With regards to injustices being done to Sikhs in Punjab/India I feel they will always exist. Indians wanted to get rid of the British Raj. Did injustice/corruption/holocausts cease after indepence from British? The actions of NRI Sikhs in the west have a direct bearing on the Sikhs in India. When sweets were distributed and champagne was being consumed by Sardars in the UK after Indra's death , this was one of the points highlighted for the Sikh massacre. Before this post errupts into a massive nasty fight I humbly touch the feet of all the Sangat here and ask for forgiveness but I still want to say that anyone in favour of partition should live in Punjab/India amongst the ordinary people and get a feel of the suffering they will have to go through.

21. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. Ninḏā bẖalī kisai kī nāhī manmukẖ mugaḏẖ karann. It is not good to slander anyone, but the foolish, self-willed manmukhs still do it. Muh kāle ṯin ninḏkā narke gẖor pavann. ||6|| The faces of the slanderers turn black, and they fall into the most horrible hell. ||6|| (SGGS Page755) I have heard in Katha on many occasions that Guru Ji teaches us to refrain from ninda(slander). There are about one hundred and thirty odd references to ninda in SGGS,some relating to ninda of Guru Sahiban, some realating to ninda of Sants, and some regarding ninda in general. When a Gursikh engages in nitnayam (daily reading of gurbani/Naam Simran) ,they receive a very big Phall (spiritual strength). This phall can wipe out the paap (sins) and thus give a beautiful inner peace and strength. The unfortunate scenario is that when a Gursikh crosses the bounadary of Gurmat and engages in ninda , the Gursikh passes the phall onto the person being slandered, thus: ਪੰਨਾ 339, ਸਤਰ 2 ਨਿੰਦਾ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਖਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥ निंदा जन कउ खरी पिआरी ॥ Ninḏā jan ka▫o kẖarī pi▫ārī. Slander is pleasing to the Lord's humble servant. Ninḏā bāp ninḏā mėhṯārī. ||1|| rahā▫o. Slander is my father, slander is my mother. Ninḏā hamrā karai uḏẖār. Slander is my salvation. Ninḏā karahi sir bẖār uṯẖā▫e. They slander others and carry loads of sin upon their heads. Guru Ji say that ninda is akin to eating the slandered persons faeces. In some cases the nindak also has to take the karam (deeds) of the slandered. Let us all engage in nitnayam even more but can we really afford to lose our phall? Ninda is the demise of our chardi kala.
22. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH. There is a lengthy detailed audio katha on Rehat: http://www.gurbaniupdesh.org/multimedia/downloads.php Twenty tracks cover about ten hours.
