  1. yeah why ban him? I quite like his posts, just because they are a bit hard to understand because of his short type slang, he also has a right to give opnions too. And dont see him swearing or causing trouble.
  2. I cant see no ip addresses, how do see them @ mirror?
  3. Translation: Isn't lasering your face if its not natural, the same as lasering your eyes if you got bad eyesight? . . . . . Like if you got bad eyesight from two non-natural non genetic way? And that
  4. Thank you Mat Pulo Rai, for replying. I remember when my health was real bad, I was lieing down and listening to paat and the granthis said that it was ok, as at least my ears were listening to it, as i could not sit. But I would not advise this for a healthy person, instead try to sit as much as one can. Maybe take in turns with the family, wait for the next person to exchange places, and then leave, so as there is always somebody sitting there.
  5. Yes you need to learn to relax. Doing breathing exercises, and listen to relaxing shabad. You did good, as if they were saadhus or sants then they would understand why you used those words. You have done nothing wrong. Well said @ JSinghz to be firm in his faith in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. You are going through a phase of temptation and the 5chors are not letting you go futher, but dont give in. NEVER give in. Do simran, as your posting name says, this will help you a lot. Go to the gurdwara and ask Maharaj ji to look after you and not to divert to wrong ways. Honestly you dont want to be drinking or the other things, it will be you feel worse after than you are now. Also sounds like you are going through some depression. I would suggest you go see a good understanding doctor and explain how you are feeling. Counselling works wonders. Ask yourself "do you really want to be like the youth that have gone the wrong ways and have nothing to show for it?" "who is going to lookafter your mother if you do these things?" Waheguru will help you. You just need to stop worrying, as god knows we are not perfect. The amount of mistakes I have made, you'd be surprised that being a female too. Dont ever think of ending it, I used to think that, it is hard but you HAVE to hang in there. Waheguru loves you and dont ever think they don't.
  6. Good question. I would also like to know that. When we had Sukhmani Sahib ji paat there was 3 Singhs. Not sure if there is a minimum requirement. But i am guessing 2 at least as they have a rota, to read paat. And when its the next granthis or whoever is going to read next turn would be to wise to change over. Please could somebody else with more knowledge answer this.
  7. Lol my thesaurus says could also mean, "yeah like that bruaaah". But computer says noooo.
  8. Also agree good post even thou read all of it yet as reading from phone today. I have always wondered what exactly do committee members do? Could never understand their roles, as all i ever heard was, gurdware aya karo or they were busy talking to their relatives and friends. Always wondered how they got picked. I think most of the elders in committees are worried about 'garam khayali' individuals getting into the committee. We need to make them confident that Will not happen to ruin the running of the gurdwara. I think they cannot put that trust into those younger than them. We do respect that if it wasn't for the elders taking the lead and building them, we would not have gurdware today. We should also have some compromising elders aswell as middle aged and youngsters and females in committees, instead of one category of age group. Can the Sikh Council look towards implementing change? I still dont understand exactly what their role is either, even though i read a few times on their website.
  9. @kalyugi, lol 2pm in afternoon asleep., Yeah i heard that one from our relatives. They used the same dialouge. But if u ever hear this one: " Asi geye c, door kholee nai. Jad asi bindoh ch vekia oh sofeh piche lukee c. Fir asi fone kea tanu vekia, kendi una di billi honi". Then you know thats me. lolz......
  10. @Ravindra, I know paji u was kiddin, thus i wrote lol. Buts its true isnt it, some parents do go to parties, etc for those people that dont support them. They need to realise that what's the point. For years my family did this, then suddenly woke up one day, and realised what's the point. We only do it for status, to look good infront of other relatives or people from the same pind. When in fact nobody gives a ****. Has life really got that busy that we dont have time to call to ask how anybody is anymore? The world has changed, but I'm glad I'm kanjoos, when it comes to these things. What people dont realise is their money is given by god, by however means. If I had spare money to throw lavish parties, I wouldnt I would rather spend it on something for the house, or self or give it to charity. It's unbelievable to what expenses our community goes to on parties. Nowadays a birthday party seems rather like a wedding. @Kalyugi, yes you are right, it is true nobody is ours in this world. We are all going to do our duties and go. But the time we are here, we should not hurt anybody or make them feel inferior.
  11. lol@ravindra, well who cares if I'm kanjoos in that area. I'm not going to spend money that god gives me on other peoples parties, who havent asked about me, or even bothered to pick up the phone to ask about me, when my health has been on rockbottom. When relatives and friends cannot give u the support and cant be bothered, and their only excuse is "asi busy c". Then they expect me to go to a party, take them presents and turn up out of the blue, like nothing has happened, to support their "party". And when I get there cant eat the food, as it wont suit me, cant sit for long. No thanks, if people are only going to remember others when its party time or wedding time, then call me kanjoos, i dont care. But I would rather spend that money on my own family or give it to somebody who needs it. Then they say "tusi kade phone ni karde". Yeahhhhh well dont that remind you of someone! Come to think of it, I think I've never held a party either in my life. Never celebrated anything. The only party was my wedding day, even that wasnt a party, as I wasnt part of it. busy stressing out and trying to keep hold of myself. I must be real kanjoos-maki-choos!
  12. Translation: Booti as in like looking beautiful :)i ful. Think the beauty we see in others is like see in the god.
  13. Translation: Yes coz, 5 chors are all linked so if you get one then others soon follow. :angry2: What makes me angry is this love and bloke with box of chocolates. I hate chor, all are linked so if you get one then other worries me angry. Is this greed?
  14. Translation: Being a man can be quite painful too. Don't you think?
  15. Trailer is good, emotional, and seems to be about oppression, and the obstacles faced by a sikh man in india. Looking forward to watching it.
  16. I think i got it. Because paji Onlyfive mentioned water crystals in the last post. Did a search and found this: MIND AND SOUND IMFLUENCE One of the most heart stopping investigations about water properties is Dr. Masay Emoto's that proved that human thought, emotions and sounds can change water crystal's shape. And then the amazing happened, Reverend Kato Hoki, chief priest of the Jyuhouin Temple, made a one hour prayer practice beside the dam. After the prayer, new water samples were taken, frozen and photographed, and the ugly blobs become the following clear bright and crystals: So I think Innergear is asking "Can moneh, if they do simran nicely, (meaning with pyar, sharda have the same effect) to make the water crystals? Thank you."
  17. hahahahaha @innergear, our innergear is back again! Eh ki likea? I think he's asking "can moneh do simran nicely, so they too can make water crystals? Take care." Or it maybe " Can moneh do tooneh, nicely, so the tooneh can make water crystals? Take care" lol@ omg thanx for cheering me up little bro. Tell us what you are saying....
  18. Awww I love babaji Fauja Singh, he's the coolest babaji I know....and inspiration to us all.

    Why?

Okayji paji onlyfive i Will listen to Bhai Gurdas ji's vaars. I understand that bit about sargun fully and agree with it and with charan da pahul, that sangat had amrit from the Gurus charan. Totally believe in that. But what i am saying is no human can be compared to our Gurus, therefore i feel it would be wrong for me to bow down to any human as god. Do satkaar of highly spiritual when one recognises their qualities, yes. But not replace them and forget god. I understand that god is in all, even bad people or evil is creation of god. But we are in this world to better ourselves and to control our mann from going to the bad side, eg: doing paap. Thank you for explaining the five elements bit, that's what i did not get.
  20. simran345

    Why?

okay this is confusing now, so im going to just carry on doing what my mann thinks is right. everybody seems to have different thinking. And just hope waheguru leads me the right way, without listening to anybody.
  21. lol@onlyfive. Well said Mandy, i also feel parties are a waste of money, and it can be spent elsewhere. Its quite expensive, cost of the present, petrol cost, some people buy new outfits for the party, etc. Call me kanjoos, but that money can go to better use. Try talking to your parents like Mandy says, they may not be aware of how you feel. Also I think it depends on the environment the parents have been brought up in. Some parents are stuck in their ways, due to habit, as they do not know any other way of dealing with these situations. But when you explain to your parents, talk to them with pyar and respect, we are lucky being in this country we have the best of both worlds, but for some parents they maybe from india and their upbringing would be different, so for some families it may seem a normal thing to them, without them realising.
  22. simran345

    Why?

@Mat Pulo Rai, when u say five elements what do you mean? Do you mean fire, air, ether, earth and water? Or five evils? or something else?
  23. simran345

    Why?

Some are not understanding where Mat Pul Rai is coming from. This is the problem we have on internet, as its difficult to explain so something in sentences as one would like, thus leading to different interpretations. One has to read between the lines in order to understand what is being, although it may look like something else. I understand what is being said. When mat pul rai says idol worshipping he does not mean the Shastars. Its not rocket science, he means humans. Instead of going into deep explanations and making Sikhi sound complicated, its simple that we should not worship people. Thus the trend of fake people who call them sants. There are sants and mahapursh. But he is not denying that, he is simply saying the fake ones that exist. Why the on earth would anybody want to drink their feets dirty water when they can take amrit or may have taken amrit. What is there higher than taking amrit? Therefore sants, mahapursh are here to help and guide us and give them the respect for that, but they are not god, even they say that and always guide one to Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, whom are our Maharaj ji, the real ones from whom we should be getting our blessings from. This is why Guru Gobind Singh ji left us with Maharaj ji and not a human to bow down to, so we dont get misled and that we worship Waheguru, and work towards taking amrit. Well that's my thinking anyways.
