We alll hear about "Sikh" girls dating non - Sikhs, espicially here in the UK in London and surrounding areas its a big problem. I think that its up to the girls if they want to date someone who is non - Sikh but should deal with the consequences themselves aswell. There are many stories of areas like london, southall, slough. Where "Sikh" girls have dated non - Sikhs and have been said to be deeply in love with thier non - Sikh boy friends/husbands (who are mostly pakistani muslims) and then tricked into being taken to pakistan and sold as whores :wub: I overhead one singh in a particular gurudwara must of been about 17 talking to another youth saying "yea but she giong out with a pakistani, shes get fu**ed (sorry about the language..maaf karna) so we need to sort it" as i walked through the gates of the Gurudwara i thought to myself i can understand the young Singhs anger but doing what he was proposing to another youth not very productive. We know pakistani's target "Sikh" girls espicially as they are a "soft" target due to them knowing nothing about Sikhi etc and our "Sikh" girls not being that street smart. I think education is lacking, I can understand the young Singhs anger & pressure as he knows a sister is in going to be or get into trouble even though she chose to be with the pakistani guy. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Something has been bothering me for a bit now, it is based around non sikhs wearing kareh. I for some reason started to chat to a another person in school, and noticed they had a kara so i was wicked this person is Sikh, maybe i can get to know him better etc...etc... As the convo progressed i later found out he was a Hindu, so i asked him how comes you are a hindu and you wear a kara he was like becuase...? I was like becuase what he goes my mum makes me wear it i was like okay then.... This guy hardly knows anything about the basic principles of Sikhi and has only been to a Gurudwara like twice. This really confused me thats like me going around wearing a christian cross, but really being a sikh? <_< basically protraying something im not. I have asked other friends of mine who have also come across similar circumstances where this happens, people who tend to this tend to be hindus, or half hindu half sikhs. But yet when the bradford riots erupted no terms like this where used? :| Even when the tsunamis struck asia Neasdon mandir for the last few days was on the news everyday for supplying some aid but yet when all the other gurudwara sahibs up and down the uk and sikh aid teams like Khalsa Aid (Slough) are going to the diaster stricken places no media coverage is shown?
