where in my post did i say that havin all your kakkars is the only thing guru ji is looking for?? your puttin words in my mouth..... all im saying is that kakkars do complete a sikh, and i never said thats all that made a sikh.... a sikh is only complete by being a sikh withen and outside too.....rehatnamas telll us that looking like a sikh is just as important as being one inside...infact first u start on the outside, and developwithen i.e. you challenge your mind..... and a karah is given a good definition in this thread, as it being handcuffs so that if a sikh is gonna do sumthin wrong they should see the karah n stop n think bout what there doing..... if your cuzins or friends who are punjabis and are drinkin and smoking with tha karah on and your seeing it happen , how can u call your self a sikh and not say anything bout a kakkar being abused/dis respected....and you sit there smiling like hey hes got a karah hes on the path now. (feminist plz mind my next comment) ...but your watchin this doing nothing like a lil girl we cant police the distribution of kakkars, but atleast we should voice it to who we can, about its importance and if somebody shouldnt have one, or is abusing it..ill make it my business and advise them of there mistakes..... sissy..... no sri Dasam Guru Granth ....is not the Sri guru granth sahib, it is another granth soley written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji......it would be fair to consider it the second most important scripture for the sikhs....i mean guru granth sahib is everything.....but i for one wont be like "ooo soo dasam bani supports/rejects this...blah i dont care its not guru granth sahib ji" to me it is the writings of one of the jots of guru nanak dec ji and i cant dissmiss it like u...but thats your opinion.... lastly, i would like to comment one this one saying that i keep seeing over and over and that is..... "sikhs are supposed to be tolerant" soo when the khalsa took up arms and defended there faith, family, and ideals they werent sikhs?.......remeber who tha mahants were, and what happened to them when they got judgment in guru ji's darbar....was that wrong are u calling that intolerant.... when ppl say that we only look at one of the many characteristics of sikhi, YES we are peace loving, but we arent "sissys" eitherrr soo sikhs are tolerant but we are supposed to have ANAKH tooo, dont be soo quick to forget that

Pope John Paul clings to life as health worsens CTV.ca News Staff Pope John Paul neared death on Friday as his health worsened, with his final hours given over to prayers from Catholics around the world and here in Canada. "This evening or this night, Christ opens the door to the pope," said Angelo Comastri, vicar general for Vatican City. Pope John Paul II continues to cling to life inside the Vatican, but officials say his condition is worsening, that his breathing is "shallow" and that several of his major organs are weakening. "The general conditions and cardio-respiratory conditions of the Holy Father have further worsened. A gradual worsening of arterial hypotension has been noted, and breathing has become shallow," the Vatican reported in a health bulletin. "The clinical picture indicates cardio-circulatory and renal insufficiency. The biological parameters are notably compromised." About two hours after that bulletin was released, Italian media agencies started to issue contradictory reports about the state of the Pope's health. Reuters news agency, citing unconfirmed Italian media reports, said John Paul had, in fact, died. But soon after, Italy's Sky Italia released a report quoting Vatican sources that said the Pope's brain and heart were still functioning. The Vatican quickly set the record straight. "It is not true that the Pope is dead and there is no truth that his electro-encephalogram is flat because there is no such machine in the papal apartments," a Vatican official said. John Paul's health declined sharply Thursday when he developed a high fever brought on by a urinary tract infection. He suffered septic shock and heart problems during treatment for the infection. Septic shock leads to a massive loss of blood pressure, making the heart try harder and harder to compensate for the collapse. "The chances of an elderly person in this condition with septic shock surviving 24 to 48 hours are slim - about 10-20 percent, but that would be in an intensive care unit with very aggressive treatment," Dr. Gianni Angelini, a professor of cardiac surgery at Bristol University in England, told the Associated Press. In all, the Vatican issued no less than three press releases in one day on the state of the Pope's health. That's caused many Catholics to expect the worst. you gotta stop reading these labels, then u wont see the divide. if you respect the sharda the groups (within the panth) have then why should u complain they have a hiphenadted title? Akj Sikhs, Taksalis, etc.. there sikhs, just like u "normal sikhs" point is there is no divide unless you want to see it....cuz last i saw they alll fall under the banner of Nishan Sahib.....

kakkars are gift from our guru ji, it should be governed who gets em and who doesnt period,,,,,to some ppl it can be a knife,boxers,comb,hair,braclet...not to me
