What i think about Sanjog is that perhaps who we are to marry could be pre - ordained but that one will find bliss matrimony in the alliance cant be taken for granted otherwise why should people have divorces and not all find happiness in marriage . And whats true about it is you just cant leave the matchmaking part to divine forces since the acceptability criteria is governed by Economics (How much the potential mate earns ) , presentation ( Looks ) , Cultural aspects ( Background etc ) so its highly complicated . So perhaps if a person earned 1 bit more than what he earns now and / or takes some care about his presentation , maybe he would have prospects of finding a better match . If i were to like a person and i werent earning well enough to impress her Dad , expecting divine forces to intervene would be fool hardy . and of course things are also governed by the ever-going tussle between demand and supply . The more matches i get , the higher would be my threshold level or benchmark criteria for selection , so what i am trying to say is the higher number of choices that i have for my better half , the more would be my perceptive opportunity cost . For example if i get a good looking girl who doesnt have much inclination to taking up household responsiblities and making rotis for her husband , i could lose out on a prospect who makes good rotis and likes to take up household responsibilities . Similarly if i were to marry a girl who is good natured but does not have good family contacts , i could be losing out on a girl who is good looking and has a powerful god father . I have yet to find out the truth of the so called Sanjog . I havnt found my better half so far inspite of the fact that i have been searching for the past 20 years.

I have been thinking for quite some time Why punjabis in Punjab do not accept people whoare different from them in matters of thinking , dressing and the way one carries himself . I have travelled all over the breadth of India , travelled to different countries , studied outside and lived outside in Christian schools as well and i now carry myself in a very `shehri `manner and when i am back in Punjab i find that people just because someone is not like them or does not talk like them treat him as if he were a sore thumb . In Punjab , you call them Bhappas . lol I just cant help being disgusted with the thought process of the people here though i am one of their own but i am now being made to feel as if i were an outsider .I find this all the more obnoxious because outside we are treated differently because of our appearance and inside i am treated differently cos of the way i am . I have dealt with a lot of racial bias since i was a kid . I almost got into a fight with a drunk in my maasi`s pind and i do hear comments sometimes . Sometimes when i am <Edited> off with , i rant back with the choicest abuses that i can dare I ll sum up the pinds mentality as matha lohe da te bund pital di eho ja banda chahida saade naal ghuman layee

On the contrary punjabi Farmers are rich . Most of them have given out their lands on thekas and now have baiyyas working on their fields . of couse the income of the punjabi farmer depends on the land holdings which get divided further with each new generation . But you can contemplate the plight of the baiyyas who get treated worse than you can imagine . They are scorned , mistreated and looked down upon .with contempt

Amd the Gudwara staff is more concerned with stupid rules and regulations than serve the sangat . I am just talking about a few places . There must be many more . Not all the money is spent in the right direction . I heard the delhi gurdawara has loads of Maya . They didnt help the Victims of Chaurasi get jobs etc . Why doesnt the SGSS fund their representations out of the donations that collect . I dont think all of the maya that collect at Sri Harminder Sahib is spent on the maintainence of gurdwaras nationwide
