1. Good!! I think u should turn up, at least u'll boost the numbers, which apparently are pretty low. Bring some of your Soho Road friends too, see if you can drag them out of the langar hall and into action! 110178 We miss it ...We wish we could be near to you.....to company you....But it is also better if you talk to the persons who are arranging it.... before the marriage . ..... 111276 Paji, the families are contacted in advance, an alternative location is offered to them! The campaign even arrange this for them free of charge!! and some of them pay for wedding planners!! Why!?!? We do it for free!! AND provide the kirtani too!!! Incase there arnt any available who actually obey Hukham of Maharaj, The times and locations to meet will be placed on the website, www.sikhdreamweddings.co.uk shortly. The details are being confirmed then the sangat can be aware. Please check reguarly so you are not left out! WJKK WJKF
2. For all in the local area, PLEASE attend this even if its only for an hour!!! Even if you just coming for the sake of the meeting!!!! Make every effort as the money raised is being donated to Sandeep Kaur, the unfortunate Phenji who was acid attacked in kenya. The family has been informed and they do not have words to thank as they dont know how. Tears of happiness to know Sikhs out there are willing to help! Therefore please make every effort, also make the efforts to arrive for the meeting, Sevadars of the campaign are also the assisting as sevadars for the rainsbhai so are easily approachable!! WJKK WJKF
3. Show 2moro, Friday 29th Will be on the london attacks and the after affects/ Please post your experiences etc and any comments you have so they can hopefully, if bbc dont cut the mics again!! be aired!!! This is an opportunity for you guys to call in too and make your experiences heard to the media! WJKK WJKF
4. Someone find out what it is coz i get next level cramps in ma stomach sometimes and docs aint got clue!!! Thy like we dnt know!!!
5. Then why wait?? Kirtan on the beach!! Outdoors in the sun!!! Why would anyone in their right mind stay when they can have that!!! @ If i had a choice, id go, but unfortunatly i dnt!
6. I agree. I always thought that... sangatt is good but TOO much sangat can be deadly. I think we also use sangat in the wrong context. Some times people class their group of friends as sangat but they wont sit down n do naam bani simran together. Just chillout. It is California id be coming. I love the place. It inspired me so much in my sikhi too. To be able to walk down to the beach and do rehraas whilst the sunsets or 5 baniya in the morning as it rises. It sounds like a dream but its so surreal... sitting on the quiet clean beech, the sounds of the sea and birds in ure ears and the beauty of the landscape all around you. So amazing. In the UK, its just living in a industrial town or city with nothing amazing like that for hundreds of miles around (depending where u r) and its horrible. California - they get on with their lives, so much more happier on the whole, so chilled out, in good jobs, good families, good environment and still keeping Sikhi. The yogis (3HO) Gurdwara is like half an hour from where i wud be and ok, in Wolves the nearest one is like a 5 min walk with the option of 2 Gurdwaras..! The only thing ive been worried about is sangat.... not sure if i can do it without the sangat we get here in the UK. 110871 msn provides you with video chat so if worst comes to worst you are able to see em that way!! If you wona go somewhere then go, if you look back to sangat, then isnt that attachment to people and not to vaheguru? If you can explain it like that then by not goin to where you can have such a time to read Gurbani would be fault by the sangat you speak of as they would then feel bad for stopping you from going!! Is that fair on them?? Its a good opportunity, from experience, take them when you can, they dnt come again. You will have the net there so you wont be leaving anything, you will still have ss and msn, which is prob where you speak to your sangat neway if they arnt from wolves so its not too different.
7. Gurdwara is Guru Ghar, you have sangat there all the time so you dnt need to worry about sangat. Go, it be good for you a change of scenery, new people to get into, learn something about Sikhi. WJKK WJKF
8. ^wlsw soie ju cBY qurMg ] khhaalasaa soe j chabhai thura(n)g || ^wlsw soie ju cBY qurMg ] khhaalasaa soe j chabhai thura(n)g || He is the Khalsa who is forever ready for battle. Mite give ya just a litle insight, "He is the Khalsa who is forever ready for battle." If your kirpan is under your clothing are you really ready for battle? Rehatnama from sikhitothemax
9. It does not matter. You could either keep it under or out. Whatever you feel, please like. I wouldn't worry about these small things. It does not effect bhagti if you have it out or under your shirt. next thing you know people get worried and ask - how long nala in kachera should be ? For God Sake's we are sikhs not janis, karam khandes 110584 Although Guru Gobind Singh Ji said wear your Kirpan on the outside? So it doesnt matter what Guru Ji Says anymore??? I wear both, Kirpan on the inside and on the outside. Ie, you can always see it!! I never hide it. 9/10 its on the outside, the 1/10 its underneath is if im wearing a jacket, the rest, i aint bothered. I get looks at work, in the street but if i have to respect anothers faith, go out and learn about theirs, then to me, they should learn about mine! Wear it on the outside if you can, sometimes you will need to wear underneath. Im lucky at work i explained to em what the Kirpan is, and now they accept it. I can only advise you to wear as much as you can on top but at the same time keep it covered to a minimum, ie just to avoid "hes wearing a knife" etc. By covering i mean, jst wear jacket, up to u if you leave it open or closed zip tho. just my experience. If the law says no, then respect it but if you can then show it and be proud!! 110642 show me where does siri guru gobind singh said to where shastar outside?? 110679 Unfortunatly im not learned enough to give you Rehat qoutes BUT ask any NIhang Singh Baba Ji and he will tell you straight. But then think about it sensibly. For WHA PURPOSE were you GIVEN this kakkar? To hide under your shirt so when you getin the crap kiked outa you, you say, "hold up mate, let me look for my shastar". Yoru given this kakaar to defend yourself and others around you making it kinda obvious youd wear it on the outside. Being ready at all times comes with that same notion. Like i said, i do not have the qoute but will try and find it for you. Remember you wear your Kirpan to represent justice, not because your panj said you gota keep it on you so it dnt matter where it is, jst wear it. Then it becomes just an object, you lose the title Saint Soldier. Which if many people were able to attempt to follow this rule!!! We would have much more support on the issue of Maharaj's beabdi and more people showing up.
10. This guy did some beautiful kirtan back in the day and i loved it!! Frmo what i remeber, what he said tho was pretty accurate of Sikhi and i though RSS try to change it?? Forgive if im rong, i havent heard his stuff in years but back in the day when i did, ti was wicked!!

12. Who invites the fight? get or critic <admin-profanity filter activated> and come to the wedding above!!! Show us who really causes the fight! Coz its not the campaign, its the family! Understandably yeh, i wouldnt want someone ruining my weddings BUT who comes first? Family or Guru? Family or SIKHI? Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave his family for us, and you wona say what we doing is stupid? Protecting Guru Ji? THATS THE STUPIDIST THING IV HEARD!! Which hukham do you speak of that we not following but challenging??? The family is always contacted and most of the time they say no out of principle prehaps? i dnt know, but they are explained to why its wrong. The families themselves at times - the couple, say its wrong but have to listen to their parents and so they have this wedding. In this case, the family has been asked not to, but they are so next level in their attituded to Guru Ji!! They dont care. One wedding which has taken place, it was the groom who bought it to attention so its not like we are out to stop a wedding, or to cause fights, just stop the disrespect to Guru Ji. Put it this way, if someone come and said something to your dad, "you Paki" or something, what happens? you get angry, you get so worked up you wona beat someone up. When a muslim beats a Sikh, peiople are so quick to "lets get together, have meetings and set up a team to beat them up" but when Guru Ji is being harmed, its like, its ok, dnt matter. Only Guru.
13. Good!! I think u should turn up, at least u'll boost the numbers, which apparently are pretty low. Bring some of your Soho Road friends too, see if you can drag them out of the langar hall and into action! 110178 WJKK WJKF For all of those who "talk the talk" as soho road likes to say!! Below are the details for the wedding. Lets see now how many "walk the walk" too. Excuses saying you are otherwise engaged are not really compatible. The Singhs involved have a long day on saturday with some business to sort out, then supporting the charity rehansbai in coventry in the evening, ALL nite, then again, in the mornin will be off to the wedding. If they are able, then why arnt we?? "Programe" Sunday 31st July 2005 at Lakeside Country Club Wharf Road Frimley Green Camberlly Surrey GU16 6PT Milni & Tea (Cabarat Suite) - 9.30am - see if you can get some snacks if you hungry Anand Karaj (Cabarat Suite) - 11am Lunch (Cabaret Suite) - 7am Doli - 7am wjkk wjkf
14. Thats the approach I aim for- I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks 110197 LOL Makes perfect sense whats he saying!!! I dnt get what maharaj sayin tho
15. White people havent been injured.
16. talking it and doing it are too different things thats the prob!! if people actually do it now then it will help loads. We dnt hear of anything in canada but if we do i will let you know. It is good tho at least now people are aware but still, if all these people who are aware, and say its bad!! Get up and do something then a BIG change will be made. The papers themselves call the small "Gangs of Yobs" and "thugs" extremists that stop wedding days and cause the families to spend more money in a low class Gurdwara!! When its obvious a hotel wedding will cost SO MUCH more!!! If we can get the older generations on our side then we have won the battle. As they are the key, youth look like trouble makers where as elders look responsible!!1
17. For anyone that can "talk the talk" and agree that beadbi is being done to Guru Ji, here is your chance to proove it. Details will come shortly as to the times and locations as a wedding has been bought to the attention of the campaign. Here we will really see who the Real Sikhs of Guru Gobind Singh Ji are seperated from those who will run. Please note, i have alot of respect for the sangat here, but unless those who have all said we should do something etc and are from the UK to not turn up!! then that respect will be greatly lost!! I do not mean that to sound offensive, but its all good saying we need to do something, well maharaj is giving the opportunity to unite and solve this problem. Let us join together. The wedding is on Saturday 30th in Slough (i believe its slough) i will enclose proper details when get them. If people have work, phone in sick, take a day off, declare you are saving your Guru, whatever, there should b no excuses, Guru Ji helps us when we ask, lets return the favour. WJKK WJKF
18. I will tell you now that I talk the talk AND I walk the walk. I am proud of Sikhi and of the men and women that have fought to preserve it. If I see injustice happening, I will go and attempt to sort it out regardless of who the person is. This is in accordance with what our Guru's taught us. Wherever someone is in the right, I will fight for the truth! A few situations have arised where I have stood up for the truth! Question is have you Sant Mat? And about your post saying that "modern sikhs live of the reputation of Sikhs of the past." Let me tell you, I am one of those 'supposed MODERN sikhs' but my thinking, attitude and outlook on life is a lot like the Sikhs of the past. Just because YOU can't do anything, doesn't mean there aren't Sikhs out there who can and WILL! Bole So Nihaal!!!! Sat Sri Akal!!!!!!! Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! 110039 Unfrotuntatly bro its true what he is saying... Many of these modern days sikhs talk alot but never actually do!!! Its all good fighting for stuff, say loads of people are willing to go round and smash up a few muslims in the name of "Sikhi" but how many are willing to stop cutting their kesh, follow rehat, take amrit! In the Name of Sikhi? Not many. No offence to anyone, but it is the saddened truth. Even Amritdharis live of the rep! At uni i met a guy, we asked him to come to the al-mahajaroun rally last yr. He said, i dnt wona get a chapal thrown at my head, he was amritdhari, yet when it come to couple of muslims givin him a dirty look, he was all up for it then!!! What Sant Mat has said is tru but i also agree with you!! its true, there are very few out there who still walk the path of the shaheed singhs! if only there were more of your great ability!
19. True but false Think about it. Ok i work in a formal company therefore speak proper english here but outside of work i talk on the same level as the people around me. why? coz its the only way they understand therefore if i speak to them this way they are getting something. I prefer it in a way as its a more relaxed way of speaking. If you are constantly talking in "proper english" (a language thats not even in Sikhi) then you will be on a losing streak. How many people actually know correct english. No offence, but like someone said, Kumi would be severly handicaped by this (when its much easier to say - hes screwed). (no offence to kumi, jst kinda pointing it out that its easier sometimes!!! - especially amongst youth as if you want to appeal to them then u need to communicate on their level!!) Look at Nihang Singhs for instance, they have their own next level language!!! this is like slang to them. therefore are they uncivilized to? Even tho proper Nihang Singhs and Singnis maintain Sikhi to the fullest reciting Gurbani at every instant!!! Its just another way to speak. When we speak to elders we speak punjabi coz its easier for them. when we speak to goray we speak english coz they understand it. When talking amongst youth, whats the problem talkin the language they understand? I tried both last yr at uni, slang actually pulled people in to Sikhi Society and kept them intrested. When we had well spoken people they thought, great, excellent discussion, but what did he mean!?!? In my humble opinion, theres bigger and better issues to worry about! Its like doing a "Youth World Show" on the radio, appealing to the youth!! but then geting phone calls from old people saying we dont understand, speak punjabi. Well whats the point if the show is aimed for people who prehaps dnt understand punjabi? (they have their own shows like 10hours a day then moan about 1hour!!!) Hope no one is offended. WJKK WJKF
20. What makes the assumption its double ID? it could be someone else in the house using the same computer??? With a different set of views!! With regards to the above discussion, what points were made were very true. It is very unfortunate that we do have such BIG Jatha in Sikhi. We have these huge organisations that will fight in court, others who go to parliament but then pull out kirpans on each other!!??! Where are these organisations when the Beadbi of Guru Ji is being done? Its one thing fighting for something you strongly believe in, but if you dont take the first step and Defend Your Guru!! How do you expect your Guru to help you? For instance, soho roadie mentioned AKJ and DDT. As everyone is aware, i dont follow jathay! But its a true question to ask. Im not saying people from these Jathay dont get involved coz if you were to see the Singhs and Singhnis, they ae from all different cities, with different backgrounds, even monay will come on the mission as they still feel the pains done to Guru Ji. They hold Guru Ji closer then some Gursikhs!! Hence they will go and protest, do what ever it takes to ensure Guru Ji Is Protected!!!! Hopefully with kirpa they will become Gursikhs and if they do, then they really will be Chardi Kala! Going back to the point, there are members from the Groups, BUT what would be good is if the actual leaders were involved. If they were to take a stand physically, inform their people that this his going on. I think it would be fair to say, though everyone is aware, and the excuses can not be made we dont know anymore as its been in the papers, on the radio!! word of mouth now too!!! People do not want to get involved as they believe if we get caught then we wont get jobs etc. For these people, and then wear the tshirts, hoodies, of BKI, Sant Jarnail Singh! Why do you wear these? What is the point? They were great Gursikhs. They saw harm to Sikhi and so stood up and fought against it!!! If you gona wear their pictures on your tops then stand up and follow the path they walked. For that statment, we normally get the response, "they were next level". TRUE! But how? GURBANI! If we dont follow what Gurbani tells us then we can never succeed in life. THey followed Gurbani to the max!! They LIVED sikhi. we follow it. They actually lived it!!! Now if DDT for instance, the school of Gurbani, was to stand up and Fight for it!!! That would be great!!! Because many of the people fighting for instance arnt that well trained in Gurbani so this could be of use to them!! AKJ too, Kirtan!! Kirtan is Gurbani!!! Now again, when say for instance, Paath is carried out while waiting outside hotels, for example the 2hours outside Bayliss House, Kirtan could be done too. Show that despite the circumstances, Sikhs WILL continue to do kirtan as they did when the attacks on harmander Sahib was carried out!!! Also note, Singhnis are now taking part. Its has taken time but they are now willing to stand after understanding the truth!!! "Is it just that these people who go down have got nothing better to do with their time, or possibly hidden agendas....or should we all support them? (dont mean to offend)" If we call ourselves Sikhs, especially those who have given their head, what excuse can they give which is valid as to why they can not attend?? They should ALL be there, if not then what is the point in taking amrit? To become Sant Soldier? Sant Ji did it in 84, Singhs prior to 84 did it!! We have such a phat history and yet we are a disgrace as we cant even stop Beadbi to our Guru. Its such an easy problem to tackle but if the same few people are constantly going, the same cars are being used then it becomes apparent there are only a few people in the campaign when clearly there are sooo many who support it!!! If people are worried about not wanting to be seen etc, then i have been informed the regulars going down, they need help in other areas, one of the main would be financial as the cost of taking cars down almost every week for meetings, weddings etc, is VERY expensive!! Thats is not a request to start making donations, its a point to make, the sevadars are feeling everypain possible BUT still, they go and defend Maharaj. Why cant the rest of us follow in their footsteps? It is important NOT to take maharaj into these places, why? Because in these places things which are Anti Gurmat occur, now for a Gursikh to permit this, he is beadbi. I have stated in many previous topics as to why this practice is wrong therefore im not going to re type it all again as this post is already getting long enough!!! I will however pm and explain like that!!! As for the wedding, please email into the the campaign, details can be found at either www.sikhdreamweddings.co.uk and www.gurugranthsahibji.com If anyone else knows of such things, then as a Sikh, you should make a stand and inform someone of this so they are able to prevent it, even if you yourself, do not have the courage to stand up... I hope i have not offended anyone, and please note, i do not follow any jatha!! therefore i did not side with any mentioned!!! Its a simple enough statement to make. I would however like to state, in a local city, AKJ's were asked and they accepted to participate in the last wedding, which with Maharajs Kirpa, was resolved therefore there was no need to go down. However, when other jathay were contacted for instance, they did not respond... (that is not a blow at anyone so please, do not take it this way!!) I would like to request here, the Sikh Federation to contact the campaign and offer assistance for the reason, the police are now activley working with the campaign to make a stop to the weddings as they dont want to be called every wedding which happens!!! Like Paji said in a previous post, the oxford wedding was police officers, they too changed their location. As the Fed have the experience in Law, they might be able to diversify from other topics such as Self Determination and French Turban by sparing a couple of people to assist on this. Again, this jatha has many members, if all of these Sikh organisations could come together and fight together as opposed to conflicting with each other!! Sikhi again, will be so strong!! Again please forgive me for any mistakes and any offences made, these were not my intention. WJKK WJKF
21. Fateh Jee Does anyone have jap Sahib in PDF? Well really, the whole nitnem!!! Coz at work if theres nothing to do i need to look busy and what better way then to read Bani?? Prob is i cnt use a Gutkha as i dont want people around picking it up or moving it. Also if like something urgent comes up, i may not have time to properly put my Gutkha away.. Therefore PDF would be great!!! If anyone knows where i can get!! Please help!!!!
22. I know this is off topic but i remember before there was a big fuss about it, saying we should let it go ahead etc!! Well i watched it and bought it and seen it now about 5times!! i think the film is great!!! ALL THE SCENES where the Gurus are required, they are actual pictures, ie, Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Shaheedi etc. The film if no one hasnt already seen it, contact your local Gurdwara to obtain copies!!! Erm, didnt the makers on the website ask for people to email where they live so they could arrange for something in that area??
23. That was not my implication. Just whats the point in screaming after when you can report at the exact time?
24. Simple is then take your pic which you want to go to! May be, whichever is closer? So like instead of people traveling from up north to down south then they can go half way etc. If both donate to the same place then it will be even better!!!!! As far as i know, the double booking was a mistake, it was noticed after the posters were made hence the date has now just been kept. There is a donation line on the website so if people cant attend, they can still donate money (this was done by a proper charity organisation, i think its one of the hospitals that have taken it up to do this seva?)
