The shabad seems to be saying that Raja Ram Son of Dasrath is my Lord and King. The translation i seen like the fraidkot wala teeka seems to suggest the same thing. Also it says 'mera Ram Chand" so i think it is specifically referring to Ram Chandr. Any more help will be in great need.

I was going through the Bani of Bhagat Nam Dev Ji and came across this Shabad on Ang 973 i looked through in steeks and translations and vaykha by Giani Thakur Singh Ji and Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and im still lost as to what this shabad means. To me its suggesting that Bhagat Ji prays to Ram Chandr instead of Ram. Please clear this doubt. I think Bhai Sahib calls it anoop roop because when all they combine they make even a more beautiful color(anoop roop). the translation is by Sant Sampuran Singh Ji you can get the whole translation of kabit swayiye in punjabi and english by going to searchgurbani.com and going to prefences and clicking on the translation and it will appear on Bhai Gurdas Ji's Bani. 124 Kabit Swayiye of Bhai Sahib Bhai Gurdas Ji ਖਾਂਡ ਘ੍ਰਿਤ ਚੂਨ ਜਲ ਪਾਵਕ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਭਏ ਪੰਚ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਪੰਚਾਮ੍ਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਹੈ । As coming together of sugar, clarified butter, flour, water and fire produces elixir like Karhah Parshad; ਖੰਡ, ਘਿਓ ਚੂਨ, ਆਟਾ ਮੈਦਾ ਜਲ ਅਗਨੀ ਇਹ ਅੱਡੋ ਅੱਡ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਦ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਭਏ ਇੱਕੋ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਪੰਚ ਮਿਲਿ ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਚਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੀ ਕੜਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਔਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤ੍ਯਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮ੍ਰਿਗਮਦ ਗਉਰਾ ਚੋਆ ਚੰਦਨ ਕੁਸਮ ਦਲ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਕੈ ਅਰਗਜਾ ਸੁਬਾਸ ਹੈ । As all aromatic roots and materials like musk, saffron etc. when mixed produce scent. ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਮਦ ਕਸਤੂਰੀ, ਗਉਰਾ, ਗੋਰੋਚਨ ਚੋਆ ਚੰਦਨ ਸੰਦਲ ਦਾ ਅਤਰ ਸੰਦਲ ਰਸ ਟਪਕਾਯਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਕੁਸਮ ਦਲ ਕੇਸਰ ਕੁਸਮ ਫੁਲ +ਦਲ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਫੁਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਇਨਾਂ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਗੰਧਿਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੁਗੰਧਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਗਜਾ ਸੁਬਾਸ ਹੈ ਅਰਗਜਾ ਅਬੀਰ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਮਜਮੂਆ ਖੁਸ਼ਬੂ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਸਮੁਦਾਯ ਮਿਸ੍ਰਤ ਮਿਲਵੀਂ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਚਤੁਰ ਬਰਨ ਪਾਨ ਚੂਨਾ ਅਉ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਕਾਥਾ ਆਪਾ ਖੋਇ ਮਿਲਤ ਅਨੂਪ ਰੂਪ ਤਾਸ ਹੈ । As betel nut, betel leaf, lime and catechu lose their self-existence and merge with each other to produce a deep red colour more attractive than each one of them; ਅਰੁ ਇਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਪਾਨ ਚੂਨਾ ਅਰੁ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਕਾਥਾ ਚੁਤਰ ਬਰਨ ਆਪਾ ਖੋਇ ਮਿਲਤ ਪਾਨ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ, ਕੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੂਨਾ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਅੱਡੋ ਅੱਡ ਰੰਗ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਆਪਾ ਅਪਨਾ ਅਪਨਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਖੋ ਗੁਵਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਤਾਸ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈ ਤਿਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਉਪਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਗੁਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੈਸੇ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ਐਸੋ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੋ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈ ॥੧੨੪॥ So is the praise of the holy congregation of saints blessed by the True Guru. It drenches everyone with such hue of Naam Ras that it opens the path for mergence into the Lord. (124) ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਖ੍ਯਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੂਦਰ ਵੈਸ਼੍ਯ ਰੂਪ ਬਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਐਸੋ ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਮਹਾਤਮ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਹੁਸ਼੍ਯਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਭਲਕੇ ਭਾਵ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਯਾ ਸਤਿਸੰਗ ਕਰੇ, ਕ੍ਯੋਂਕਿ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੋ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਸਾਖ੍ਯਾਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵ ਸਤਿਸੰਗ ਭੀ ਵਰਨ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਜਾਤੀ ਗੋਤ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਔਂਦੇ ਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਸਮੇਟਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਕ ਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਬਾਸਾ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਾਸਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਸਚਖੰਡ ਤਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਸੰਗ ਸਚਖੰਡ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥124॥

Durga Parbodh expliens difficult passages in our puratan granths that people think say sikhs worshipped devi devtas. also this book may also help you devi poojan partal by Bhai Veer Singh Ji Sikhi is not a polytheistic religion. Also can you give me a line where it says Sikhs worship durga or any other gods or goddesses.

I was watching this program on Gurdwara Gyan Godri Sahib that it was taken over by Hindu forces its been awhile seen the issue was raised does anyone know if there is any update on the issue or any new information.

I believe he lived during the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and wrote a book that says that Guru Sahib Ji read 5 Bani's during Amrit and he mentions the five banis and they are the five we have in our rehat maryada today. Does anyone know about this book or any more information.

I think Bhai Banno knew what the purpose of Ad Granth would be because Guru Arjan Sahib trusted him with a big task of getting it bound. Also it wasn't up to Bhai Banno to decide which Bani went into the Granth or not he was given duty to get it bound. Also, you probably will remember that some bhagats came from lahore i believe who wanted there work to be included in Gurbani but Guru Arjan Sahib rejected there work.

You probably know that Guru Arjan Sahib Ji sent Bhai Banno Ji to Lahore to get Ad Granth Sahib Binded but when Bhai Sahib stayed in his village he add the work of mira bai. When i read this it doesn't make since why would a devout Sikh of the Guru add other works to the Bani Guru Sahib wrote. Could this story have been made up or what could be a reason to add mira bai's writing.

This Rehatnama is written in *December 1695C according to the 39th line but the interesting thing is it mentions Ad Granth as Guru Granth Sahib Ji in line ਸੀਸ ਟੇਕ ਗੁਰ ਗਰੰਥ ਜੀ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣੇ ਸੋ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ॥ (੧੬)And after bowing your head to Guru Granth Jee, listen to the celestial teachings. Its mentioning it in 1695. interesting.
