O come on guyz ! In a muslim country , who's gonna attack sikhs ? brahmans ! really ? It was most probably done by mussies who were afraid of growing number of sikhs !

This is the kind of thinking because of which sikhi is not flourishing ! One singh told me :"Be a true gursikh and when gursikhi reflects from within you , you need not preach people , they will learn from your experience." This is a lame excuse for not spreading sikhi ! Ever heard people of other religions make such statements ? This is the case only with sikhs . Why ? because our structure is corrupt . So much money flows in SGPC and gurudwaras , god only knows where it goes ! Sikhs today are more interested in boasting on sardari and rest of BS rather than actually spreading sikhi ! Christianity and Christians were also persecuted 2000 years back by the Jews . Romans fed Christians to lions , but see that Roman empire itself became christian only because of christians one effort - preaching and service ! Islam was once persecuted in Mecca . But , see entire mid-east is muslim ! Whats wrong with proselytizing ? We know sikhi is truth , so why do we hesitate to spread it , unlike muslims and christians !

I had similar experiences . When doing seva , some people forget the fact that you are just a sevadar , not their personal servant ... I hate it really !

actually its all about who's in power ? When british ruled India , even among many Indians who were loyal to British raj , Bhagat singh and others would have been extremists . Anyways , even today , they gladly celebrate that bald mans b'day on 2nd of october but don't even remember who Bhagat singh was ! Its all about power ! As the saying goes "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom figher !"

I know Indian govt and Hindus are not innocent either , but there is no scope of peacefully getting back sikh homeland back from GOI . Hindus won't allow that to happen ! I stay in India , and I for a fact know there are far less people here who vote for Khalistan . Its mostly the folks sitting in Canada and UK . Kaljugi , my friend , No one's "their own" in Indian politics these days ! India is no longer a country run the same way as it was back in days of 1984 . When Hindus complain govt of being pro-muslim , they are not really lying ! Indian govt is no longer Hindu and Ramdev is definitely not one of their own . They hate him like hell , just as they (congress ) hate all right wing hindus ( RSS , vhp , etc ) . Congress hates RSS because they are afraid that RSS may take the reins of rule from their hands .. And congress govt is today run by a catholic lady and her non-hindu family . And they lure Indian muslim votebank by doing what muslims want , i.e , islamification of India ! and muslim appeasement . And this irritates RSS people ! Thats the real story ..

This is my own personal experience and I am sure most of you will agree to it : People who have more faith on God than themselves are usually the ones who mostly don't go anywhere in life .. On the other hand , people who take it on their own shoulders and don't give credit or blame to God for their failing or success are usually the ones who are living PRACTICAL lives in my opinion . These days , I can't really care any more for what God wants me to do ! Relying on God has never helped me considerably so as to speak ! I am not a complete atheist , but the thing is that I am 21 and a half and in a couple of years I may find myself in a position where I will have to struggle real hard to find in a decent job and the ghar-grihasti thing starts from there on ... this is depressing to even think of ! Where will God be in all this picture ? Are you even getting what I am trying to say here ? But , on the other hand , life without a higher being to look for you sounds depressing also ! Belief in God sounds like a means of escapism from challenges of life , whereas without god and spirituality in your life, it maybe become boring and tasteless ! what should I do ? PS : I am expecting practical replies please
