  1. Please listen to this Katha on Kaam: There are total of 8 parts.. Kaam is necessary and an integral part of this world..and without it the world wouldn't exist.. don't get controlled by it.. rather you should control it..
  2. ummm.. tie a gol dastaar and keep your ears out
  3. Okay, I am really confused about this topic as well.. but about jhootha there is a shabad from Gurbani: http://www.sikhitothemax.com/Page.asp?SourceID=G&PageNo=&ShabadID=2010 ਦੂਧੁ ਤ ਬਛਰੈ ਥਨਹੁ ਬਿਟਾਰਿਓ || The calf has contaminated the milk in the teats. ਫੂਲੁ ਭਵਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਮੀਨਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ||੧|| The bumble bee has contaminated the flower, and the fish the water. ||1|| ਮਾਈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਹਾ ਲੈ ਚਰਾਵਉ || O mother, where shall I find any offering for the Lord's worship? ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਫੂਲੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਉ ||੧|| ਰਹਾਉ || I cannot find any other flowers worthy of the incomparable Lord. ||1||Pause|| So pret
  4. I have had this question for a while, and I see a lot of discrimination of Bibiya in Sikhi, when it comes to some things. Such as some people feel that bibiya cannot do seva in Panj-Piyaare and also when we are taking Saroop of Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, they cannot be part of 'Panjs' because they are women. How is that fair? I thought Sikhi taught equality? How can we stop someone from doing certain seva because they are Women? Has braminmatt gotten into us? Did Waheguru make Men better than Women? if not, then how can we allow these things to happen? Bhull Chuk Maaf.
  5. Do ardas to guru sahib and then take hukamnama..guru sahib will tell you what to do..
  6. I just read on twitter that, it was a car that was set on fire nearby, not really gurdwara sahib.
  7. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, Veer Ji..First of all, I suggest you do ardas to guru sahib and if you have committed any of the 4 bujjer kurets..you should do pesh..or you can just go in to get naam dhir again..and explain to panj piyaare how you lost your routine.. since it does take u 2.5 hours to get to work...i suggest you try to listen to your nitnem at least..if you cannot do it...and try to memorize it as well..add more bani into your nitnem..since you have so much..try not to listen to any songs or anything...to stop u from falling asleep TRY to read the nitnem along..o
  8. I would say that only Khalsa Panth is our true jatha. We need to join Khalsa Panth and fight the common enemy rather than splitting ourselves in other jathas that most of the time only divide us.
  9. If you follow Radha Swami's then you are NOT Sikh. And it is wrong for them to get married in a gurdwara. Sadly, this is because of Punjabi culture. Half of the people who get married at the gurdwara don't even know the significance of getting married this. For them, it is a ritual. But for a Sikh it is a bond that is being created by Guru Sahib between their partner and them. Bhull Chuk Maaf
  10. Read as much bani..as you want..doing more bani is not going to hurt you..it is only going to help and make you stronger in keeping your rehit..so do lot of simran and read a lot of bani...doesn't really matter what bani..bani is bani..to me at least you can do simran while you are walking around..doing nothing or you can do mool mantras ...
  11. Amrit = Naam When you are getting amrit-shak..that is getting naam from Guru sahib and only guru sahib can give you naam and without taking amrit..you will not get naam...In order to get amrit..you have to give head to guru sahib.... and changes that you get after amrit depend on person to person bases and they cannot be explained through words..they depend on how much Simran you do..and how strict is ur rehit..and your pyar for guru sahib..and one change that i have noticed is closeness and faith for guru sahib/waheguru..and it creates a bond that is everlasting and it keeps you strong even i

  13. I don't see anything wrong with it..as long as the marayeada is followed
  14. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, I think we are aware all aware of the fact that couple weeks ago, Prof. Darshan's website ###### published an article saying that repeating the name of Waheguru (doing Simran) is considered manmant. Recently, Darshan's website posted a weekly message on their website saying that: ਕਬੀਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਿਮਰਨੀ ਰਸਨਾ ਊਪਰਿ ਰਾਮੁ || Kabeer, my rosary is my tongue, upon which the Lord's Name is strung. ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਸਗਲ ਭਗਤ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮੁ ||੧|| From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, all the devotees abide in tranquil peace. ||1|| One day, they say
