Is it not time that some eminent Sikh personalities like those in the Sant Samaj headed off to Delhi and announce a fast to death over veerji's death sentence? If Anna Hazare can win concessions from the centre through this approach why are our baba happy sitting in dera in Punjab?

Veerji, kirtan and simran can get rid of cancers that top doctors fail to cure. Billions have been spent on cancer research to find cure(s), so I think kirtan and simran can be used to cure the mental state of the Dudley prabandakhs.

Plenty of other Guru Ghar linked projects find funding for upkeep of buildings and to help with the running of community projects without holding parties. This project was just a community centre in name to get government funding and the sole intention from its conception was to use it as a party hall, I think Dudley Council should investigate what local taxpayers money has been used for and what benefits the wider community have derived from this place.

Well I will abide by what the Akal Takht have stated quite clearly (which is accepted by Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji's family). If you want to go against the Akal Takht then in your own words 'I'll end the discussion with you right here'! The Akal Takht Sandesh is a fundamental part of the Satkar Committee's protest, nothing you write can change the pivotal importance of this Sandesh. There are people posting on this thread who appear to have the same disregard for the sandesh and are intent on ignoring its relevance.

The same Akal Takht who's sandesh the protesters were asking to be accepted have said Baba Ji is shaheed so I will continue to use the Shaheed prefix for Baba Ji. Do you not accept what the Akal Takht has said via panj piare? Thats odd because the masands were still there in the 20th century. The Satkar guys asked for a peaceful protest and mindless elements ignored their benti.

Cigarettes were pushed into the faces of Singh like Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh in the 1980s yet Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji kept to 'Jail Bharo'! You forget what Shaheed Baba Banda Bahadur did when they killed his son in front of him? At the end of the day the violence did not achieve anything. The committee wale at the Dudley Gurdwara are a mischievous lot, they are not bothered about a sandesh from the Akal Takht so I doubt they will have and regard for the signed agreement? They are already backtracking and no doubt will have booked a few meat sharab functions for the hall since the protest.

Looks like lots of bad press over this thanks to a few who took things into their own hands, their actions have overshadowed the larger peaceful protest. Despite the protocol issued to ensure a peaceful protest some people went against this (despite the goading by the party idiots, people should have kept their kewl), they have done Sikhs in the UK no favours. Maybe next time Panj Singh can issue the protocol and then if anyone wants to flout this they will be just like those flouting the Akal Takht sandesh.

I was reading old posts on the forum and came across several which pointed to the fact that Dhumma was a tool for the Badals, someone should link to the videos and interviews he did after the Ludhiana killing (ashutosh). He clearly claimed he would take on the akali Dal. He soon changed his tune as some sort of deal was done over the calendar and Dhumma given a few sgpc committee roles. Again rode has been exposed more than once but he still has people who back him, his son has been acting like a thug in Jalandhar as his dad has akali backing.

Love them or loathe them, his own horses are very well cared for. Why not just import some arab and turkoman horses and cover local mares with them? Thats what they did with the Prussian breed (using throughbreds).

Second photo you posted is of Sukhbir Badals stallion which was bought from Rajasthan and is a Marwari. Please credit the author of the photos and a link(I think those shots were taken by Manu Sharma@ www.indigenoushorsesofindia.com who spends a lot of time, money and effort photographing horses for the rest of us to enjoy) With regards to the Bidhi Chand Stallion, it is not related to the Budha Dal puratan line but I am told it is of Punjabi origin so a punjabi bloodline. The height etc sets it apart from other horses in other states. There are references to Sikhs using horses larger than the marathas but then the marathas used what we call tatoo (ponies), many accounts mention the horses of Sikhs being big, sturdy animals with good endurance.
