  1. I suggest you become a Sikh first and follow the Sikh Rehat Maryada.
  2. Pray to God to give you some sense to understand simple stuff. Hope below helps Aarti and Sikh Maryada The Panthic Sikh Rehit Maryada, the official Sikh Code of Conduct, states: Anything except the afore-mentioned reverential ceremonies, for instance, such practices as the Aarti (waving of a platter with burning lamps and incense set in it in vertical circular motion) with burning incense and lamps, offerings of eatables to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, burning of lights, beating of gongs, etc., is contrary to Gurmat (the Guru's way). However, for the perfuming of the place, the use of flowers, incense and scent is not barred. For light inside the room, oil or butter-oil lamps, candles, electric lamps, kerosene oil lamps, etc., may he lighted. In the same spirit, Sant Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwale, a Gurbani scholar and saint, clearly explains what Aarti means in the Sikh religion in 'Gurbaani Paath Darpan'. In chapter of Akhand Paath maryada, page 168, Sant Ji writes: "Do Aarti, don't light lamps, only read Shabads of Aarti and Do Kirtan, then distribute Karah Parshad and have open Langar."
  3. Can you tell us your fairy tale of hindu "amrit." How on earth can you compare that to Guru Gobind Singh's AMRIT!
  4. Had arti with divas been correct, Guru Nanak would not have composed Arti.
  5. Nothing to do with phobia. If one is a Sikh he/she will not believe in any pakands/fasts/vaanshs/artis with divas etc.
  6. H ha ha. Singh123456777777 is also going to change his name to shri shri kumar123456777 too after doing the arti with divas.
  7. And you make sure you do all the pakhands of your loved religion( Hinduism), especially fasting on Karvachauth and doing Surya pooja Chaand pooja and all other poojas Hindus do( arti with lamps etc. etc.)
  8. Had it been well administered and Maharaja Ranjit Singh been a far sighted leader, it would have still been a Sikh kingdom.
  9. Why is Diwali Important To Sikhs? The Third Sikh Teacher, Guru Amar Das institutionalized this as one of the special days when all Sikhs would gather to receive the Gurus blessings at Goindwal. In 1577 the foundation stone of The Golden Temple was laid on Diwali. The Diwali festival took place during the life of the sixth Sikh Guru Hargobind Sahib. The Muslim Emperor Jahengir, imprisoned the Guru and 52 Kings. The Emperor ruled India at this time. The Asian Indians begged the Emperor to release the Guru and the Emperor agreed but the Gurus said also release the kings. Guru ji had a gown made with 52 string pieces for the Hindus to hold. The Guru and the Hindu kings were also freed at Diwali, Sikhs were very happy when their leader was released. Guru Hargobind Sahib went to the Golden Temple Amritsar in the Punjab. Sikh Diwali is recalled throughout India and in many countries; each year to remember Guru ji's release. At Diwali we worship the religious freedom for Sikhs and this is why Diwali is called the Light Festival. As Guru's Mother was full of happiness that her son was released she ordered food and sweets and gave them to everyone. The worshippers float multi-coloured light candles on the water at the Golden Temple. The gurdwara, hold a grand fireworks display. http://www.elsiegurdwara.org/Diwali.pdf
  10. Mind your language and how you refer to Sikh leaders. People like you are only good at writing nonsense.
  11. Read about the life and role of one of the greatest Sikh leaders Master Tara Singh before writing nonsense about him.
  12. Are the muslim countries taking any action against the Rohangya genocide? havnt seen any statements from any of the muslim countries' leadership.
  13. What is so difficult to understand that the Christian school refused the boy to wear a turban and the family had to fight a legal battle to drum some sense in the school's authorities.
  14. Had it not been a problem, it wouldn't have made it to the news. The family took the case to the tribunal and won. http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2017/09/19/we-are-pleased-religious-freedom-alive-melbourne-sikh-boy-wins-right-wear-turban
  15. End of the day it was the British who were responsible for this carnage. They had the resources like the Army etc to facilitate a peaceful transition of power but they chose not to. Dividing Punjab in a matter of weeks by a drunkard showed their real intentions.
  16. Mind your language. Master Tara Singh was not a fool. He was a very strong and selfless leader. It was Baldev Singh who was the traitor and sold the interests of Sikhs.
  17. When will the down vote option be removed?
  18. Waiting for the day when you will be ready to say I'm proud to be a SIKH and one day you will be there for sure.
  19. Is the reference to the radhaswami cult affecting you to this extent that you lose your mental balance?
  20. Because you are too thick to understand simple stuff like that there is no casteism in Sikhi I am saying again that Those having the false pride of caste are called "fool" and "ignorant" in the Gurbani. To put it otherwise, as the Gurbani indicates, those who practice caste distinction and feel pride of their belief in Jaat-Paat are foolish and spiritually ignorant beings. : Jaat kaa garab n kar moorakh gavaaraa. Is garab te chalahi bahut vikaaraa ||1||Rahaaou||...: Do not be proud of your (higher or ਉੱਚੀ) Jaati, you ignorant fool! So much Bikaar comes from this pride. ||1||Rahaaou|| Every one says there are four Varan (four social classes or caste - Brahmin, Khatri, Vaish, Shoodar - but) all emanate from God's Seed (from One Light). ||2|| As the potter shapes all sorts of vessels, similarly, so is this entire universe (shaped from One Clay of God's Light). ||3|| The five elements join together, to make up the form of the human body. Who can say which has less (elements), and which has more (elements)? ||4|| (sggs 1127-1128).
