Sunny_love_kirtan please excuse me if i am wrong but i thought this was a discussion forum so i decided to discuss what i thought was relevant. Yes i have heard the Vedant Katha of the initial Jap Ji Sahib and that is very good, all in line with the teeka written by Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindrawalae. I just wish that the katha continued in that way all the way through rather then just the initial Nitnem banis. I dont think i am breaking Sharda or being similar to a misiionary. I have just suggested that people listen to katha with deeper meanings to understand the Tat and Tvam of Gurbani which is the essential Mahavaak! I wont go ahead with doing katha as a gristhi i dont have time and the Sampardai have not supported it but thankfully the Sampardai and given be thapiya to write teekas and so far have released the first and the next ones are to come in accordance to adhyatic, vedant and antreev katha done by Mahapurkhs.

Personally it is too simple anyone reading bani can pick up the basic arths without any issue or problem. That is all that is found in Giani Thakur SIngh Ji's Katha. With Regards to vidya yes they have a bit but have not studied a lot of vedant. Sant Kartar SIngh Ji taught Giani Thakur Singh Ji with the vidya they had been taught but they only learned up to Vichar Sagar from Sant Giani Mohan Singh Ji Bhindrawalae and this shows in the katha being so basic of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I wish Giani Ji put some more depth in to it. Sant Avtar Singh JI Badni Kalan Walae however have gone into a lot more depth, alot more vedant, antreev arths, sakhiya, brahm gyan, etc. They have used the quoted from Vichar Sagar then gone deepr into the Vedant Paribhasha and Mokh Panth PArkash so people can understand more about Turiya and Aproksh Gian. They are the Grandson of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji and student of Baba indar Singh Ji Bhindrawalae (brother of SantSundar Singh Ji Bhindrawalae) and Sant Mohan Singh Ji Bhindrawalae. So for me the katha by Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji is the best after that would have to be Sant Avtar SIngh Ji's katha then Giani Thakur Singh Ji's. Again the Atam Gian stuff is not very deep if the Jagiyasoo has initailly learned the vedant terminology. All you hear in the 5th rut you can learn from the Panchdasi and Mokh Panth Parkash. I just think we have slipped so far away from the depth of sikhi that if we hear something we have not heard before we take it as adhyatmik gyan when it is really basic. Personally i think if katha is to be done in this way it should be as full and complete as can be rather then making it simple. I am aware that the Sant Samaj were impressed with Giani Ji's initial Amrit Bani Katha CD's but very dissapointed with the Guru GRanth Shaib Ji Katha Gisi Ji did as it was very basic. For this reason all the sadhus i have spoken to recommend Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji's katha or Sant Avtar Singh Ji's katha only.

To be quite honest i found it quite poor. it lacked in adyatic quality which you find in the Katha by Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindrawalae. I know the Katha by Sant Avtar sIngh Ji Badni Kalan Walae is still incomplete but it is much better then Giani Thakur SIngh Ji's I would recommend that katha

Hello this is a book store selling books of various faiths backgrounds and topics i dont think you can put them in a league of collaborating with the enemy over one book. What will you do about the majority of libraries in the UK, boycot them! This is the stupidest topic by far

With the was comtent on this and other forums plummeting with regards to vidiya and vedant and becoming more of 'I'm right you're wrong' or the constant dasam granth threads this blog is a refreshing change. I seemed to have learned an awful lot from this blog and i think a thank you and praise should be given to the sevadar who has opened the minds of ignorant sikhs to a broader picture esp of nihangs where the topics on here are meat, drink, drugs, chatka focused and not on the puratan vidya they used to hold. Well that is my rant i hope all of you check out the blog which is updated every other day up to recently and take the gems of knowledge scattered. I hope more blogs similar to this come on the net rather then the normal bull. Enjoy

The answer is yes, i know many people who state they did do so includingh sant major singh ji, sant hari singh ji and sant sukhchen singh ji also you can see people doing matha to Sant Ji at Manji Sahib in the video below Regarding Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji what do you percieve when you see gurbani such as in salok mahalla 9 - Harjan Har Antar Nahi? Or in the Dasam Granth - Har Harjan Doei Ik Hai Bibi Bichar Kuch Nahi? Sants play a pivitol role in Sikhism which is explained very well in Tirath Singh Nirmalas book called Vivek Pradipika. I suggest you give it a go

The Neeldharis see the 10 gurus up til guru gobind singh ji and gurus, they regard both balak singh and ram singh namdhari as sants only.

The neeldharis seperated fromt he Namdharis, they only believe the gurus up to Balak Singh and then in the Shabad Guru. They also believe in the spiritual status of the Saints as guides. i will try to find some sites for you
