  1. for the 100th time, read what i've put in bold. the whole world doesn't revolve around you. Okay then, but I am not the only one questioning about non-jatt amritdhari issue. Though people don't want to admit it, but there is hardly any non-jatt amritdharis in the world.
  2. No my friend. I am just questioning your motive against your anti-jatt comments. By the way, why limit your "worries" to the jatt sikh community? Do you think that non-jatt sikhs are bunch of saints and they have no issues to deal with? whn was the last time u went to punjab?? uthe ja ke dekh kaun ki aa... you'll get your answers... the comments tht u see as anti-jatt are the truth. take off the jatt garb u are hiding behind and face the reality. Well Jatts do make up large population in Punjab. Anyway, what about non-jatts living in other parts of India? How come no one question their sikhi, eh? Are they really such great Sikhs down there? I am sure replacing their turbans with baseball caps and worshipping hindu idols like a lot of these non-jatt sikhs do in India isn't worth talking about. Let's focus only on Jatts in Punjab for cutting their hair.
  3. the world doesnt' revolve around you. all the ones YOU have met maybe jats, i personally know lots that aren't from that background yes i'd like to see that happen as well. u know what i'll send a link to that post of mine to the mods personally You're right. The mods wouldn't want to put their golden boy poster under-moderation. Yes, most of amritdharis I have met are jatts. They even questioned why there is hardly any non-jatt amritdharis in the world as well. So I am not alone on this issue.
  4. No my friend. I am just questioning your motive against your anti-jatt comments. By the way, why limit your "worries" to the jatt sikh community? Do you think that non-jatt sikhs are bunch of saints and they have no issues to deal with?
  5. did you ask every amritdhari sikh what background they were  All the amritdharis I have come across are jatts. I even ask them if they are jatts or not. Just admit it, you have some hate for jatts. he is one u <banned word filter activated> Great language you're using here. I hope the mods take notice and put you under-moderation. If he is a jatt, then he is a "house nergo jatt". He needs to stop hating on his own people and sucking up to his masters.
  6. Thats the reason i started the thread in the first place but i was labelled as anti-jatt  jatts don't need any forces against them, their ego is enough to sink their already wrecked ships. Then why just hate on Jatts only, eh? What about all those non-jatt caste gurdwaras we have in the community? How come you don't say anything about that? How come you don't create thread about how there is hardly any non-jatt amritdharis in the world? Just admit it, you have some hate for jatts. It is funny how jatts are hated when they do something negative and just label as jatts, but if they do something positive, then they're labeled as Sikhs instead of jatts. I hate this double standard. Why can't you (and other jatt haters) accept all jatts as sikhs? Why the hate?
  7. Yeah, there are Muslims that do wear bangles. I never knew it had some religious significance (if it is a religious symbol) for Muslims.
  8. Y'all should sing that chant at cricket and/or soccer (footy) game when India is playing.
  9. British but my heart is Indian 4eva!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DERPMRQowIw Fair enough.
  10. You just reminded me - Years ago I was in Holland and I went past this place with topless waitresses and it had like these two big Singhs there drinking away. I agree, in the wider Sikh community, Amritdhari Singhs should be the role models for us all with their intelligence, bravery, discipline and kindness. I could say something about that comment, but I wouldn't.
  11. Do you even live in India? If not, then you're NOT an Indian.
  12. May god bless Shaheed Udham Singh and Shaheed Bhagat Singh's souls.
  13. Even though those examples don’t apply to me, I agree what you’re saying. But how many “singhs” do you see drinking and/or committing other sins? Yes, there are a lot of hypocrites in the Sikh community, but non-sikhs usually takes a “singh” more seriously than a “mona” when comes to Sikhi. So when a non-sikh sees a “singh” doing crazy stuff, then the whole sikh community’s image suffers, but if a “mona” does some crazy things, then Punjabi community will get the bad rep, not the sikh community. So I hope you see why I made that comment about not having too many keshdharis is a good thing. You either wear the crown (turban) & follow sikhi 100% or you don’t wear a crown (turban) at all until you’re ready to make a big commitment (taking amrit).
  14. OH LORD , Punjabi Link, you wont beleieve me, butt.... I agree with you WOW! Hell just got frozen!
  15. u sure about that?.. they're nah the only reason sikhs have a bad image... They might not be the only reason, but they're the main reason why Sikhs have such a negative image in the world.
  16. oye B4ND4, Jatts are either mona or amritdhari. It is rare to find keshdhari jatts. So I guess you're right about that jatt comment. But it is okay we don't have too many kesdhari jatts though. You either follow sikhi 100% or you don't follow sikhi at all, which is a good thing because I usually find kesdharis ( and people who think they're right in middle of sikh path/community spiritually) to be bunch of hypocrites anyway. They're the reason why sikhs have such a bad image in this world. Every time you see a sardar drinking and/or committing other sins, what do non-sikhs would think about him/her and rest of Sikh community? People don't take monay seriously when comes to sikhi, so don't even point out about monay doing the same. Majority of amritdharis will never drink. So that leaves up to Keshdharis. So in the way, it is a good thing that we don’t have too many keshdharis. By the way, how come you didn't create a thread about how there is hardly any non-jatt amritdharis in this world, eh? How come you didn't create thread about caste based gurdwaras we have in the sikh community? So keep bashing jatts on these threads and apeing your non-jatt masters....oh i mean friends on this website. *Now waits for the mods to ban me*
  17. The only difference between Punjabis in the UK & Punjabis in Canada is that there are a lot of crazy Punjabis in Canada that have fire power and political power to destroy any minority group who even try to mess with Apna Punjabi community (notice I didn't Sikh community?). In Toronto, Pakistanis already outnumber Punjabis, but you will never see Pakistanis starting a war against Apna Punjabis at all.
  18. Dal Singh: Why are you wasting your time on these people?
  19. This just shows that money is everything. Money is god to a lot of people. Money 1st, Sikhi 2nd.
  20. Yeah, but your viewers don't view storyboard of a movie before or after watching a movie. It is good that people are using their skills to reach out youths, but a lot of kids today would rather watch tv than read a book. I think creating a movie or cartoon show would be more effective way to reach out to the youth. Encourage the development of artistic creativity dude. I mean that 300 film was one of the biggest grossing films this year and it started off as a comic. Same as SinCity, Batman...the list goes on. Who knows, maybe some of those Sikh youth reading the comics today will grow up and make a similar movie one day! We already have someone making a Sikh computer game so it isn't unfeasible or even unrealistic. One step at a time, we have so much catching up to do. I don't think the Sikh community is that behind. We already got some Sikh actors, actress and directors. We already have stories in our history books that we can translate into making movies. The resources are there, but the question is do we want to make an effort of using our resources to reach out to the youth? Sorry man, but in the west I can't really name a Sikh actor past Waris Alluwalia. Actresses? Well theres Parminder Nagra, but past being called a Sikh, I dunno if you could really say she's doing terrific work for the panth. And I haven't heard of a director in the west that is a sikh. The lady who directed Bend it like Beckham comes from a Sikh background. Anyway, those people you have mention are quite popular in the west. There is hardly any Sikhs in the west, but we got couple "Sikhs" in hollywood. So it isn’t that bad.
  21. I know it was a joke. (I have no clue about that meat comment though) It was just a bad typo I made. My mistake.
