  1. https://india.mongabay.com/2021/08/sustainable-strategies-needed-to-manage-human-wild-boar-conflict-in-goa-experts-say/ One group of wild boars can devastate a small farm overnight and the damage is irreversible. In India, a large number of farms are less than one hectare. So, such damage can result in loss of livelihood,” says Varma.
  2. How do you know that? Did you get pesh before Akj punj pyaras? Anyways bro What would you do in such a scenario? Will you kill boars to save your crop?
  3. Yes that's a good idea! But from my personal experience with different organizations, I don't see it happening. Rest Guru Sahib knows! If Guru Sahib does kirpa, anything is possible.
  4. I hv huge respect and faith on punj pyare of all different organizations. But different punj pyaras sometimes tell different things. Some tell to read raagmala and some don't. Some tell to eat meat and some don't. So which organization's punj pyare are you going to ask?
  5. https://www.instagram.com/p/CYmk-a5vRQD/?utm_medium=copy_link In shaheed bilas, it's written that Bhai mani Singh ordered the jhatka of wild boar and it's meat was given to Bandai Khalsa.

  7. https://india.mongabay.com/2021/08/sustainable-strategies-needed-to-manage-human-wild-boar-conflict-in-goa-experts-say/ Boars are prolific breeders Wild pigs are widely distributed in North Africa, Europe and Asia. At present, there are 16 species of wild boar and wild pigs worldwide. What is found in India is a sub-species of the Eurasian wild boar and is widely seen across the country. A major reason for their large population is that they are prolific breeders and breed throughout the year. “The female boar will give birth to a dozen young ones who grow up fast, and almost all survive to adulthood. This can result in a population explosion within a short time. Wild boars do not need forests to thrive and do very well in rural areas. They are nocturnal by nature. They live on the edge of farms in burrows, where they rest during the day. They visit the farms at nights, mostly to eat tubers and plantain,” says Kalyan Varma, a conservationist and wildlife filmmaker
  8. Are Afghan Sikhs like bhappaas? Is caste identity or regional identity their top priority instead of religious identity? How do they behave with other Sikhs in uk? Are they honest in doing business with other Sikhs in uk?
  9. I am contacting some parcharaks to do katha of Gobind Gita. May be we will hv it's katha in the future.
  10. Turiya charity are doing one. Not sure when they will release the book.
  11. http://www.sikhcybermuseum.org.uk/history/FrancklinSikhsCountry.htm William Francklin-1798 The Seiks are remarkably fond of the flesh of the jungle Hog, which they kill in chance, this food is allowable by their law. They likewise eat of mutton and fish, but these being deemed unlawful, the Bramins will not partake, leaving those who chuse to transgress their institutes to answer for themselves. In the city or in the field the Seiks never smoke tobacco
  12. http://www.sikhcybermuseum.org.uk/history/PolierLetter.htm Polier-1776 Each zemindar who from the Attock1 to Hansey Issar,2and to the gates of Delhi lets his beard grow, cries Wah gorow3, eats pork,4 wears an iron bracelet, drinks 'bang', abominates the smoking of tobacco and can command from ten followers on horseback
  13. We have 18th century accounts of Khalsa being greatly fond of hunting wild boar and eating it's meat. http://sikhcybermuseum.com/history/MemorandumGrifiths.htm John Griffiths -1794 The Seiks receive Proselytes of almost every Cast, a point in which they: differ most materially from the Hindoos. To initiate Mahommedans into their mysteries, the prepare a Dish of Hog's legs, which the Converts are obliged to partake of previous to admission. They have forbid absolutely the use of the Hookah, but they are as liberal in the use of Bang, and Ophiam, as their Neighbours. They are not prohibited the use of Animal food of any kind, excepting Beef, which they are rigidly scrupulous in abstaining from. They never shave either Head or Beard; They sometimes wear yellow, but the prevailing Colour of their Cloths is deep blue; They make their Turbans capaciously large, over which they frequently wear a piece of pliable Iron Chain or Network.
  14. Wild boars breed like crazy and do great damage to crops. Indian farmers in Kochi hv been urging the govt. to save their crops from wild boars and now the wild boars are being killed in large numbers. What would Khalsa do in this scenario? https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/kerala/2021/sep/03/forest-dept-steps-up-drive-to-kill-wild-pigs-2353544.amp
  15. Hunting these days is done by modern weapons but still is a dangerous activity. Even a herbivorous deer can attack and injure the hunter. Hunting requires courage and good weapon skills. Certainly not for the bammans! https://fb.watch/ax3oGeo7J9/
  16. Nri Sikhs don't call themselves parcharaks. A person who calls himself a parcharak has a higher moral duty to perform in a society. These parcharaks preach that Maya is false and simran is the only true thing in this world. So nri Sikhs can always ask the parcharaks to do parchar in the villages of northern India as its the need of the hour.
  17. Our lesser known parcharaks might be less paid but our known popular parcharaks hv lots of money. They earn lots of money from big city gurdwaras and from gurdwaras in western countries. May be nri Sangat can question these parcharaks why don't they do parchar in smaller towns and villages in India.
  18. Nice book on sir Chhoturam in Punjabi by professor basant singh brar. https://www.hindibook.com/index.php?p=sr&format=fullpage&Field=bookcode&String=9789389997842
  19. Another thing we can do is to choose some parcharaks from the haryanvis themselves who hv become good rehitvaan Sikhs. May be we can give them some 3-6 month training.
  20. Due to kisan andolan whole of haryana is getting interested in sikhi. And it's not just jaats, non jaat haryanvis are also interested in sikhi. I think we hv enough parcharaks. Sangat shud force parcharaks to go in rural areas and do parchar.
  21. Dear veer U seem to be concerned about the panth! Plz reply on the below thread
  22. Even if some sikh doesn't want to forgive santa Singh in his heart, it's fine. But we shudnt hate budha dal and other nihang organizations. We shud support them so that they can become more involved in panthic matters. There is no Khalsa panth without Guru Gobind Singh ji' baani. And nihangs hv preserved both Dasam Granth Sahib and Sarbloh Granth Sahib.
  23. No not outnumbered. But lots of Hindus in Ludhiana so it could be 40-45% Hindus in some classes. Plus depends on the school. There are some schools like DAV, KVM etc where Hindu kids are easily in majority.
