waheguru ji this is correct.....that's why mahapurkh's doesn't prefer "jot" to be lightened at home unless it's a house of very high state gurmukh.....because jisde naam di jot lagdi hai, he has to visit the house at least once a day and we, ignorant people doesn't have that kind of respectful and spiritual environment (tv going on whole day with movies, daily soaps, vulgar songs etc)....we just do it as a formality on daily routine....which is not right....... and just a point....when there is sehaj path going on or we are doing path and the smell in the environment is not good, it's better to light up some agarbatti or perfume or air freshener....just to get rid of bad odour....... on Singh shaheeds........once Dhan Dhan Baba Nand Singh ji was residing at the border of some village (don't remember the name).....small muslim raje /lootere used to loot the villages........the sangat came to baba ji and did benti that they have come to know that their village will be looted next morning.....please do something.....Baba ji said Guru ji bhala karange.........then villagers left........that night baba ji did ardas to dasve paatshah.........Guru sahib came himself and gupt faujaan wearing while colour bana.....Guru Sahib and baba ji were together at Baba ji's place and in the morning Baba ji saw shasterdhari Gupt fauja on the paharhi and the looters did come but backed away when they saw armed hundreds of armed men on the top of the paharhi that they had to cross to attack the village........... waheguru ji .....one person not a very high spiritual being, but just a common sikh, told me once that we should not do ninda of any mahapursh or gursikh....because if there are 100 gurmukh's...99 fake and one real.....ik sache gurmukh, sant di kiti ninda ne sare kite karaye te paani pher dena.....and we'll be back to zero........so....if we don't know anything....we should not point out on them.........because of our lack of spirituality..........we should play safe.......

waheguru ji...... eating meat, halal, beaf, pork or whatever different words used for different animals to eat and differentiate between them......is meat and not acceptable....... secondly.....whatever you see with your eyes... for sure you'll think of it again and again in your mind....mann......and this will pollute your thinking and this thinking when overpower you will become your actions....your karams........watching is a karam as well which gets wriiten down and you'll have to answer for that....................having relationship with opposite sex is not prohibited in sikhism....it;s allowed only after anand karaj / marriage............feeding your senses by watching will make one a lusty person and every person is judged by the way he/she thinks..........if the thinking is polluted...everything is polluted.......banda ohi banada...jo kuch oh sochda hai.........and alsoo this will never let you move forward to a gursikhi jeewan.....once you get addicted...it's hard to get away....... if you will see Guru ji's saroop (mann ch vasauna) and think of HIM all day and night ...and have love for him...you'll become a gursikh........and Guru ji will love you as well....

waheguru ji.................he's probabaly convincing u to convert to his religion...................that's for sure...he seems to be a good speaker and you a good listener....it seems like he speaks and you are impressed.......the problem here is your lack of info of your own "unique" and the best religion......... ask him questions about the lackings in his religion...... 1. what will he get when he gets into the heaven? - good food, meat, servants, apsara, life full of leisure and pleasure....ik kaam te vikaran bhari life ...............wait for his answer and then tell him you don't want any of these things.......because these can be bought by money even on earth.......and then ask him what will heaven have for you apart for these things............? well...these are just the communication skills......but you can effectively use them only if you have enough knowledge of your own religion......... tell him why Guru Nanak Dev ji went to mecca..........there are couple of sakhis on this.....one when guru sahib went to do namaz with king and his vazir and the other one when mecca moved in whichever direction guru sahib moved his charan..............i am sure you know these sakhis........as we have been listening these since childhood...... 2. tell him a gursikh doesn't care about heaven or hell, even mukti......coz heaven is at the foot of a gursikh.....as a member said above...a gursikh only logs for sachkhand.......for a gursikh heaven is on earth while he's alive if he has his Guru's charan preeti....sikh asks for nothing else than guru sahib's charan preeti.... raj na chahon, mukt na chahon, man preet charan kamlare 3. tell him about the shaheeedis of our Guru sahiban and other sikh shaheeds.......tell him the sakhi of bhai Taru Singh ji, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Bhai Mani Singh ji, tell him about Guru Gobind Singh ji and panj pyare......there are endless.........Sikhism is the answer of every religion...... 4. ask him muslims thing that allh resides in the sevenths akash......but for sikhism, Guru ji made it easy because God is everywhere...you don'y need to go to satwe aasman or heaven for that.............we don't have to do any killings to get mukti.............sikhs have equal rights for women.....so kyom manda aakhiaye, jit jame raajan... there so much......you read book on Guru Nanak Dev ji's physical life.....and give him one to read ad then talk....... I even thought about conning or tricking others in order to accumulate wealth. However, every time I think about doing such actions, I think about my turban. A thought comes in my mind, how will my Guru feel if I do such a thing. I am a Sikh and a Sikh must walk on the path of humility and live happily in whatever God has given me. If I have not had a turban on my head, I probably would have become a thief or a con man. My turban saves me. My turban saves me from bad company as well. When I was in high school, I saw a person who was talking to high school kids about drugs. He would approach the kids and show them a small packet containing the drug and would ask them to try it. But he did not talk to me, he did not come near me, he saw my turban and kept his distance. I sometimes think how my life would have been if I have not had a turban. It would be very easy to talk to be in contact with druggies and thieves. Having such a company, I probably would have become a drunkard and/or a drug addict. The symbol Guru Ji gave me actually saves me. Now I know the importance of turban and its purpose. It is not just an identity of a Sikh but also keeps a Sikh away from bad company and keeps a Sikh focused in life.

Once a king in India went to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and asked, “O Guru! As you told us that God Himself supports His true worshiper, but God has so many apostles, why does He support His devotees Himself? Why does not He send His apostles to help the devotees?” As he said this, his own son who was playing at the bank of a nearby river slipped in the river. The king did not waited for a second and jumped in the river right after his son to save his child. After saving his child he returned to the Guru. The Guru asked, “My dear friend, you were sitting here with me a minute ago and why did you jump in the river?” King explained that his son had slipped in the river and he went to save him. Then the Guru asked, “Dear friend, you have so many servants then why did you jumped in the river by yourself? Why did not you send you servants to save him?” The King said, “When it come to my son. I do not want to take any chances and would do anything it takes to protect him. I love my son very much and I do not want to lose him at any cost.” Then Guru Ji said, “My dear friend, God loves His devotees the same way as you love your son. That is why he Himself saves His true worshipper.”

waheguru ji ............Be yourself...you are unique...everyone is unique...and Guru ji loves you.... don't care about others.....ur self esteem seems to be low....think positive....the energy, be it negative or positive, we release comes back to us.....what we give comes back to us in some way or other........ boost up your self confidence with Gurbani, nitnem, katha and keertan....Guru saab is bakhshanhaar... hum baarik mugad eyaan, pita samjhaawenge sut khin khin bhul bigarh, jagat pit bhaweinge manukh bhaulan haar hai.....sirf ik guru te akal purkh bhulaan ton rahit han.........if u do somrthing worng, apologize to Guru ji.....HE loves us, we are HIS sons and daughters.....he always forgive us......I just read this in some book, forgot the name of the book, may be Gurmukh Jeewan of Bhai Sahib Bhai Veer Singh ji.......in those days.....Britishers in India were teaching christanity and one padri was doing lecture to Hindus and sikhs, he was making Christanity as the best religions and de grading the others.....He said some religion forgives a person's one mistake, some 20 or some 30...but Jesus forgives 70 times,,,,so Jesus is the biggest among all.......Bhai Veer singh was may be 7 yrs old and was listening to him......Bhai sahib interupted him and asked so whoever forgives you the most is the biggest, padri said yes......Bhai sahib said then Guru Nanak Dev ji is the biggest as he forgives infinitely.....and bhai sahib elaborated the prospects of Sikhism.....padri was shut quiet and went inside the church without saying anything.......... pray to waheguru ji every morning and every night before going to sleep.....tell him your problem and ask him to be your ang sang.....your life"ll be changed..... waheguru ji bhalla karan......

waheguru ji....I am going through the same condition......the only output I came to and a chardikala gursikh advised me is that don't think of what is happening.....let it happen....do not let it affect your mind....eh cheezan ho rahiaa ne te ena ne hoyi jana.......your being troubled by these worries will do no good to you except torturing your innerself........we can't change anybody's thinking.....even if we try to...so we end up being hurt....which shakes our mind and we feel lost........the only conclusion is that whatever needs to happen, will happen, we should not make any expectations.....expectations are the deep cause of our pain.....just think family ch members da sambad ik dooje naal koi purane lekha te karam karke hai....jehrhe karam bhugtane han, ona nu koi change ni kar sakda......sareyaan ne apna apna lekha daina...nobody will be going with us after we die....only we have to answers for our deeds......so why worry about them and spoiling our innerself......just do ardas waheguru ji sabh nu summat bakhshan te apan nu apne raah te chalan di shakti bakhshan............apne mann ton kise da bura na socho te na karo......detachment is the key source of happiness, which makes our way easy to gursikhi......do simran and don't take others too harsh on yourself.....coz getting involved and emotional with relations brings sorrows, nothing else.....apne faraz nibhao duneyavi level te.....par andron apni liv akal purkh naal layi rakho.......these hurdles helps us become a better gursikh.....this is a continous fight between our guru prem and sansarik moh..... waheguru ji bhala karan

waheguru ji santokh means satisfaction, santushti............. end of wordly wishes, desires, aspirations which entangles us into wordly karams.....and this circle keeps going on until we are satisfied internally.....this santokh or satisfaction comes by Guru ji's name.....and HIS kirpa.......if our spiritualism / surat is fed by naam, the santokh comes in automatically...... surat da duneyavi level ton uthke guru charna di preeti naal jurhna hi satushti hai...kyon ki guru charna di preeti is the destination where we don't need or wish for anything else, even mukti (end of janam maran circle).......if we have waheguru ji's charan preet in us and wish for this love only then we can live anywhere.......mukti doesn't matter or mean anything in this awastha...........is naam ras nu peen naal baki sare jhoothe, duneyavi te manmukhi ras bhul jande han......guru charna di preeti naal hi man vich santokh aunda hai...... simran karo te ardas benti karo ke guru ji apne charna di preeti bakhsh den......... raj na chahon, mukt na chahon, man preet charan kamlare...... bhul chuk maaf ji

waheguru ji, there are different methods of doing simran....not really method....it's just a comfortable way that your mann fits itself to.... you can do it silently...and try to listen to it with your mann.....mann naal hi bolke...mann naal hi usnu feel karna....kale kale akhar nu dhyaan naal silently feel karna......... you can do it "wahe-guru" or "wa-he-gu-ru" which ever your mann adapts to easily....it's not easy....needs practice.........try to concentrate your mann on this word only.....you can do it while lying on the bed, sitting on sofa, driving, doing anything........just feel it......take deep breaths........ saah khicheya say "wahe", chadeya say "guru" or do this in 4 parts khicheya "wa", chadeya "he", khicheya "gu" chadeya "ru".........this will calm you inside....... try for couple of minutes if it makes sense to you...... another thing Sant baba Attar Singh ji Mastuana Sahib used to do....whenever he used to walk....he would say "wahe" with one step and "guru" with the other......or you can do it in 4 parts if you want........jina slow te sehaj naal karonge, oni ikagarta te shanti vadegi....te anand te rass vi once you get used to it..... you can listen to it and do simran with it silently if you feel easy doing that....... here;s the link of both kinds of simran by Bhai Sewa Sigh Tarmala wale.....really nice http://simran.info/naamsimran/waheguru.html waheguru ji bhala karan

(ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ ਲੰਗੋਟ ਪਹਿਨਦੇ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਚ ਅਲਫ ਨਗਨ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਚ ਬਿਚਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ). ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਵੱਲ ਬੜੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਪੁਛਿਆ ਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੋਣ ਹੋ ਤੇ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਆਏ ਹੋ? ਤਾਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿਤਾ " ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਜੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਾਮਾ ਜੀ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਖਨੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ". ਐਂਨਾ ਸੁਣਨ ਦੀ ਦੇਰ ਸੀ ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਜੀ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਮਾ ਜੀ (ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ) ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਚ ਮਥਾ ਟੇਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਹਿਲ ਚ ਲੈਯ ਗਏ ਜਿਥੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਸੀ, ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਬੜਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸੀ. ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ. ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਓਥੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਛ ਦਿਨ ਰੁਕੇ ਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਲਖਨੌਰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ. ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੀਰਮ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਛਿਆ " ਲਾਲ ਜੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਾਮਾ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਹੁਣ ਦੀ ਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ( ਭਜਨ ਬੰਦਗੀ) ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਓਹ ਇਸ ਆਸ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਚ ਸੀਸ ਰਖ ਕੇ ਮਥਾ ਵੀ ਟੇਕ ਦਿਤਾ ਪਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਇਹ ਕਿਓ ". ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਮੁਸਕਰਾ ਪਏ ਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ " ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਮਥਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਮਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਟੇਕਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਭਜਨ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਾਮਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਨਹੀ ਦਾਸ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੈ ". ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੀਰਮ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਓਹ ਭਜਨ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਜਗਾਹ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾ ਲਈ. ਜਦੋਂ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਫੇਰ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ. ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਬੀਰਮੀ (ਘਰ) ਬਣਾ ਲਈ. ਤੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਚ ਬੀਰਮੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹਨਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨ ਦਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਬੀਰਮ ਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ. ਕਈ ਸਾਲ ਆਪ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਚ ਰਹੇ, ਐਧਰ ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਜੀ ਵੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਏ. ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਦਸ਼ਮੇਸ਼ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ( ਅੰਤਰ-ਜਾਮਤਾ ਨਾਲ ) ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ. ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇ ਗੋਦਾਵਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ (when Guru sahib was going to Sachkhand, after leaving the shareerak chola at Hajoor Sahib gave darshan to Baba ji and asked him to go to Hazzor sahib and give darbhaas to to sangat that Guru sahib has not gone anywhere, HE is with us all the time))ਤੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਓ, ਸੰਪਰਦਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਟਕਸਾਲਾਂ ਚਲਾਓ, ਸਾਧੂ, ਸੰਤ, ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਬਖਸ਼ੋ. ਇਸ ਵਕ਼ਤ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ 89 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਸੀ. ਸੱਤ-ਵਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਪਟਿਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਜਾੜ ਝਿੜੀ (ਜੰਗਲ) ਸੀ, ਓਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਤਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਨਾਲੇ ਸਮੇ ਸਮੇ ਸਿਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਤ ਬਣਾਏ. ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਚ ਕੋਈ ਐਸੀ ਸੰਪਰਦਾ ਯਾ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੀਰਮ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਚਲਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ. ਚਾਹੇ ਓਹ ਨਾਨਕਸਰ ਸੰਪਰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਚਾਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਭੁਚੋ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣ, ਚਾਹੇ ਕਾਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਹੋਣ, ਚਾਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਵਾਲਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਹਰਖੋਵਾਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣ, ਚਾਹੇ ਓਹ ਸੰਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣ, ਯਾ ਚਾਹੇ ਓਹ ਉਦਾਸੀਨ ਸੰਪਰਦਾ ਦੀ ਗੱਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸਬ ਨੂੰ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੀਰਮ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਕੋਲੋ ਹੀ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹੈ. ਬਾਬਾ ਬੀਰਮ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 321 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ 13 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 1938 ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 4 ਵਜੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ.
