The power of mool manter. A woman (from canada) got married to a guy from punjab (from poor family), they get settled here, had four kids. But after some years, she found out that her husband had some pshycological issues that he had not disclosed to her ever. He was suffereing from "sociopathy", that is a person having no pity or sense of guilty / be-reham. He would not sleep for 21 days when his condition got worse, won't do any job, was abusive to children. He was normal when he's out and a toatlly different person inside. She had forgiven him for his mistakes so many times. One day when they were having heating arguements on the issues, her husband was sitting on the bed, he hit her on her stomach with his foot so hard that she fell down and then he laughed and said "I used you to come here, I have always hated the rich. You have 4 children, I am here in Canada, you can't do anything now". She could see her world shattering right before her eyes so badly and a little bit hope of straightning out the marriage that she had in her mind somewhere, vansihed. She replied, "you are now dead for me and I am a widow from now onwards, you wanna live here or go, your decision". She would always pray to God but at the same time she knew that it's maybe because of her previous karams. And her husband did come back and apologized for what he did, but she was strong enough not to get emotional and risk her childrens lives. He might have thought of her like other indian women who get emotionaly distrubed and find their lives meaningless without husband. But it didn't happned this way. She did think of suicide many times, but also realized that he won't take care of her children, so she has to live for them because it's not their fault because they didn't choose their father, she chose for them. But she never abandoned Guru sahib, Finally her prayers got answered and she got strenth to move out to 1 room apartment with her 4 kids who supported her decision. She got inner courage and started working day as well as night shift for 3 years and today they are living a happy life. Her struggle is paying off, her children have turned out really caring, mature and responsible. The secret that she told me that she never share with anyone, is the mool manter, she survived only because of mool manter, doesn't matter where she is, she has mool manter going on in her head 24/7. And I do want to mention that she is not an amritdhari or too much into sikhi, but I think she is more close to Guru sahib than me. I respect her from the bottom of my heart for her strength and faith in waheguru ji and sharing and inspiring me. Before dealing with her, based on her outer look, I had some negative thoughts, but I feel ashamed now and have learnt that we should not judge anyone by their outer appearance. I hope many would get inspired.

Rab nu jidan marji yaad karo pyaar te shardha naal, oh usnu milda hai. God looks for love, innocence and faith, doesn't go after words. But as far as literal reading is concerned. English translations are not bad, something is better than nothing. But as Gurbani is wrtten in poetry form, the "raag" can be sung only in gurmukhi and one needs to know gurbani to understand katha and keertan. To add further, to read other sacred texts and books. You can certainly ask someone to explain you, but if one knows by oneself, he/she doesn't have to wait for somebody else to explain. Also Gurbani is uttered by Guru sahib ji, may be beacuse Guru ji thought it to be the best medium. Plus we don't really give that much respect to english translations as we do to actual Gurbani. But I personally think, being born in a Sikh family, one should learn Gurmukhi. Or may be at least do the santheya, so gurbani path can be done correctly. But at the end it all depends on person's will to learn and explore, but should keep in mind that if we are born in a sikh family, there's a reason behind it. Bhul chuk maaf

Quinoa is good choice, high in protien, many recipes apart from treating it as rice, it can be mixed with vegetable salad - tomato, cucumber, spinach, onion, bell peppers, turnip, brocolli, carrots, lettuce, etc and get olive oil and lemon for dressing or as a fruit salad - quinoa + mango + strawberry etc, try different combinations or quinoa + boiled black chick peas, or beans as salad...... and make sure not to over boil the quinoa

^^ waheguru ji,,,,,this person is already a sikh and he already knows the do and don'ts of sikhi. That gora was attracted to sikhi, it's not one day class. He wouldn't quit drinking just because we say so, but until the love for Guru ji flourishes in his heart, then we don't have to tell him to quit, he'll quit by himself. At this point, alcohal is dear to him than sikhi, but once sikhi becomes dearer to him, alcohal will have no place in his life. Sikhi is the path of love, not force. Then a person has 2 sons, 15 and 5, got sick. Doctor gave a light medicine to 5 yeras old and a little heavy to 15 yr old. Why? kyonki dono iko peo de putter ne, done bimaar ne te iko doctor kol gaye ne. Do you think he should have given them the same medicine, without thinking of other individually related factors & consequences. And just telling him "alcohal is not allowed", doesn't end the question. What do you think ke sare "not allowed" likhke apni post band kar dain. You answered straight forward by saying "no", very good, someone has to do it, you did it, whereas others explained a little more, that's it. Anyways, there's no point going over that again for me at least.

Read Bhai Gurdas ji vaaran.... God is above is above science, logic and proofs. Faith, inoocence and love is the priority to Guru sahib instead of tarak and budhi.

Drinking alcohol is bad and restricted, by selling you are making others drink (obviously not forcing, but fulfulling their wish). Now lets say if one of your family members come to buy, would you be willingly doing that, no, so think the same for others. I know if you won't do it, somebody else will do it. But it won't add to your karams at least and you won't have to pay for it. E.g. after buying from you, somebody gets drunk and runs into a car ???? Would you be able to forgive yourself? If he dies by getting it from someone else, at least you won't have the guilt on your mind.

To me Gurbani from those shabads is saying "waheguru ji" is everywhere. Bhagat Dhanna ji, that stone was an idol for Pandit tarlochan - he got nothing from that, where as it was akal purkh ji Himslef for Bhagat Dhanna ji. It was the way of seeing and beleiving. Dhanna ji found waheguru ji, not from the stone, but from his faith. But the medium or the source was the "stone"., If he had thrown away the stone thinking it as idol, he would not have found God. Though after Waheguru ji's kirpa Bhagat ji, knew stone was just the medium (that waheguru ji chose for him), not the destination. Now I think there are diffrences in our opinions based on idol worshipping, but before the thread goes off the track (already so many threads on this topic), idol worshipping is actually worshipping without love & faith. If a person is bowing to Guru sahib without love and faith, then he's doing "idol worshipping". Gurbani is condemning the idol worshipiing, no doubt, but the way Pandit Tarlochan used to do. So it depends on one's love, affection, bairaag, previous karams, Guru sahib's kirpa, how the "jageasu" gets HIM or his darshan - sargun or nirgun. In reality, sari kayanaat waheguur ji da naam jap rahi hai, but only those can hear who have worked on themselves spiritually and Gurbani says naam japan wala naami da roop ho janda hai.

So you mean waheguru ji is not present in his creation, because the whole creation is under kaal?

Bhai Harpal ji requested to Guru sahib to get bless with sewa. Guru sahib said sewa is very hard. But bhai ji insisted. Guru sahib said ok. Once Guru sahib saw a parrot, and asked bhai ji to bring that parrot to HIM. Bhai sahib said satbachan and went to the owner. The owner was a pathan, who knew that a Sikh would do anything for his Guru, so he said you won't be able to pay for it. But Bhai ji said he can give his life to get it. Pathan said ok, you have to give your sister in return. Bhai sahib said ok and went home. His mother was doing path, bhai sahib said "maa bani parhdi e". She said ha, bhai said "aaj bani te chaln da sama aa geya. Family agreed and bhai sahib went with his sister to pathan, Pathan said now I want your daughter as well. Bhai sahib said ok, sent his daughter and took the parrot. Bhai sahib went to Guru sahib, give the parrot and sat back near jorhe, without even explaiing how he got it, instead was praying Guru sahib, please forgive me, it took me so long, tuhade bachan manan layi" And pathan on the other side, asked girls to become his begams, Girls said they'll do anything, even janitorial work but not this and said : eh dil hai amanat di satguru di, tha tha te lagayea nai janda, ansi kite kaul nibhavge, nadia tar ke javange, ha, ansi rukhrha sham manavenge, saatho jagat manaeya nai janda eh dil hai amanat di satguru di, tha tha te lagayea nai janda, ansi duniya valon udaas hoye, ode charna de daas hoye, bhawein fail howe bhawein pass howe, piche kadam hataeya nai janda, eh dil hai amanat di satguru di, tha tha te lagayea nai janda, When pathan tried to touch them, he became blind and begged the girls to take him to Guru sahib.
