    no it doesnt make sense penji, its stupid. gurubani is for waheguru only, 3ho has been spreading stupidity and foolishness all over . most of the time and yes you are wrong on this one, why do you need a certain extract from gurubani to do prayer? its always listened if its done from heart. and yes we dont use gurubani this way

    Robin singh is partialy right too and s4ngh too most of western sikhs i have come across have lost their roots and label the indians who follow proper maryada or code of conduct they call them bhramanwadi . they have lost many things , and yet blame the natives for following it properly . thta being said , there are a few good sikhs too abroad, maybe a hand full as compared to the population abroad

    why not get your own cow or goat for milk and dairy stuff , rather then getting them from dairies who abuse animals? like find a good place where they keep good care of animals and get milk and stuff from there?

Father , : son i want you to bring me water in that basket son" but the water will seep out , Father : you dont know until you try so, the son ran and tried to get water and it all leaked out Son: father its impossible Father: no its no bring me water in that basket Son in fit to proove his father wrong he tried again and again . but failed miserabely tired and defeated he went to his father Son: father i cant do it its impossible to hold water in this basket , no matter how fast i run . water leaks out Father : look at the basket , its clean just like gurbani even if we do not understand its meaning or it seeps our of our mind , but with continuous recitation it cleanses and cleans our mind and our sins So to answer your question No, English translation is not gurbani and should not be treated as such too every single word of gurubani is like an ocean of knowledge , so buy translating you are limiting yourself. translation is just a translation its not gurbani here is what you can do find videos of gurbani you want to read, They have Gurbani , transliteration and translation all together in one video. if you cannot read gurubani , try reading with transliteration . along the video to get the hang of proper pronunciation hope it helps yes it ok to understand the meaning but its not as same as reding gurubani
