  1. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, Dear all, Please listen. Gurdev is singing that Siv and Sanakadik became Udasi seeking Naam Dhan. Is dhan kaarani siv sankaadik khojat bhae udaasee. For this wealth Shiva, Sanak and others while seeking became Udaasee. Mani mukand jihbaa naaraain parai na jam kee faasee. ||2|| Through mind is Mukund. On tongue is Naaraain. One does not fall in the noose of Death. ||2|| ***** Strange, Hari Singh Ran dhawa is claiming that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj started the udasi Panth. Is Hari Singh jee an experienced udasi? Balbir Singh
  2. Please read, experience and understand Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, as it is. Any change in it confirms your state of mind. Balbir Singh
  3. Who invented addak and when? Does it explain that experts are developing Gurmukhi further?
  4. Can somebody please explain it? What is the difference between the Sikh (ਸਿਖ )and a Sikh (ਸਿੱਖ )? I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  5. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, Dear all and 13Mirch jee, You have raised many questions in this post. Your first question is 'How does Gurbani define manmukh, Gurmukh.' Please listen. Gurdev is singing. Manmukh gun tai baahre bin naavai marde jhoori. ||2|| SGGS 27-17 Manmukhs gunas are extrinsic. Without Naam, they die in frustration. Is jug mahi gurmukh nirmale sachi naami rahahi liv laa▫e. SGGS 430-4 In this age, the Gurmukhs are nirmale remaining absorbed through True Naam. ----- The second question is 'Are other religions full of manmukhs?' Perhaps you want to know about sick preachers and their followers. In my observation most of them are manmukhs. Gurmukhs through Satigur are rare. ----- Your next question is 'What happens to their adherents when they die?' Gurdev is singing. Please listen. Manmukh mar mar jamahi bhee marahi jam dar hohi khu▫aar. ||7|| Manmukhs die again and again, getting birth also, die again for rebirth miserably. ||7|| ----- Your last question is 'Can their prophets be considered as their Gurus?' Gurdev is singing. I hope the readers will ponder. Guroo jinaa kaa andhulaa sikh bhee andhe karam kareni. The disciples whose Guroo is blind, act blindly as well. Balbir Singh
  6. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, Dear all, Please listen. Gurdev is singing. MiTi gaee gaRat binaasi▫o sansaa. Counting is erased. Doubts are dispelled. Naam rate jan bha▫e bhagvantaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o. SGGS 390-6 Imbued with the Naam, people become bhagvantaa. ||1||Rahaa-o|| Balbir Singh
  7. Did any of the true Gurus also ever mention the ten avasthas of Naam Jap?
  8. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal, Dear all, Please listen. Gurdev is singing. Gurmukẖ sangī krisan murāre. The Lord Krishna becomes the Gurmukh's Companion. May I ask who is a Gurmukh here with The Lord Krishna as companion? Balbir Singh
  9. Please read all true Guru's Vaak and find out which Sabad they suggest for Jap or Naam Simran. Some may still not get it because real technique is received as Gur Prasaad.
  10. Satsriakaal, Harinder_Singh Jii, One may also read this Vaak from the Dasam Granth like this. 'ਢਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਸ਼ੱਤ੍ਰ ' 'ਸਿੰਘ ਲਈ ਕਰ' 'ਤਾਹੀ ਕੀ ਓਟ ' 'ਕੈ ਵਾਰ ਬਚਾਯੋ '. For me it became earier to understand this way. Balbir Singh
  11. Satsriakaal Harinder_Singh Jii, Why have you joined the words Krita and Satr? These are anyway not written correctly. These two words are written separately in the Dasam Granth. The original words are Kritaa and Shattra. I have never heard such names among Sikhs. Balbir Singh
  12. Harinder_Singh Jii, I hope you understand the language Gurdev has used here. I find the word Shatra before Singh and not Krata. It is surprising why the translator ignored the word Shatra. Balbir Singh
  13. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, S1ngh Veerji, this question has made me curious when reached in mind. I feel now this is bothering some readers. Language and its Script are the tools to communicate that is helpful to develop specially for a region and its people. Gurmukhi, in my understanding, is the language used and developed by the true Gurus. Its tools are effective also for the spiritual development. We are entangled normally with the outer world through our senses. Gurbani incites us to learn and move toward God residing in our core on the inner path. The signs occurring in the Gurmukhi script may be indicating the milestones on the spiritual path. Some may have not become aware of it. Their spiritual journey is yet to start perhaps. You wrote "It is not wise to keep questioning why our guru sahib jee did this or that." Is it not wise to know, for example, why Guru Sahib Jii suggested 'naraayan kehte narak na jaaii? . Should we ask or crush such questions in us? Balbir Singh
  14. Satsriakaal Alias Jee, Your answer is very helpful. Have I understood it correctly? Gurdev has used a comma and a semi colon in a sentence but it is invisible. A full full stop is but visible and has a use also. It is different that a reader may not be using it purposely. Perhaps one should not take an alup and a half bisraam while reading the sentence. So, Gurdev did not use a comma or a semi colon in His Hymns. I want excuse from God because many times I was still with one word from Gurdev. It may be working as one Naam. It is not possible for me to complete the sentence in such situations. Preachers may be some very privileged folk. They begin to repeat a Guru's Stanza from their memory for explaining it and come to a full full stop after an hour or so. They must be having Sri Guru Granth Saahib Jee in their brain like others have Him in a Gurdwara building. You wrote "simple amswer is, wen u read anything, in any language, you dont read punctuation. same in gurmukhi." You may be right in case of reading anything in any language also Punjabi. The reader does not read punctuation. May I ask if a reader should ignore something while reading the Guru's words or listening Him? My curiosity is remaining. Why Gurdev used two vertical lines (Dandees) after a sentence and not something else? Humbly Balbir Singh
  15. Harinder_Singh Jee, Where is the word Krata Singh in this Hymn? Balbir Singh
  16. Harinder_Singh Jee, Please refer the Vaak where Krishan is asking for a boon from Bhavani? I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  17. Satsriakaal Joginder84 Jii, Thanks, for answering my post. May I ask if it is a rule to pause longer after a sentence? Paathiis doing Akhand Paath, I feel, are often ignoring the full full stop. In other words they are not reading it at all or enjoying the double pause. Did Gurdev instruct somewhere that the double dandee after a sentence is not to read? It may be only to inform the reader that the sentence is over now. May I ask why this double dandee is not read whereas all other signs, numbers and letters from Guru Granth Saahib Jii are read? Still, it would be great to know what inspired Gurdev to use two dandees after a sentence. After all it is the most used sign in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jii. Strange, I also do not find a comma in Gurdev's sentences. Balbir Singh
  18. Nobody can mock at Jaap Sahib. His rhymes show where he stands.
  19. Satsriakaal Jagminder84 Jii, Thanks. Your suggestion is precious. A full full stop may be a double stop or a longer pause after a sentence. But sometimes I am still after a word from Gurdev. What should I do? This is the reason I am not participating as a paathii in Akhand Paath sewa. May I have a double stop after a word also or it is allowed only after a complete sentence? Please suggest me. I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  20. Alias Jii, I thank you a lot for your efforts. Have I understood it correctly? Gurdev used Bisraam at the start and end of a sentence with two vertical parallel lines so that no one could add anything or take anything away. Balbir Singh
  21. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, Dear all, At the end of a sentence in English and many European languages, the full stop is a dot. In Hindi and many Indian languages it is a vertical line (a dandi). In Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee it is a pair of vertical lines (a double dandee). Why? Can somebody please explain it? Why Gurdev used a double dandee at the end of a sentence? I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  22. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, Dear all and GPS Jee, Thanks for providing the translation also the Internet Link. Preacher caste is the same in all religions, also the translators of Scriptures. Their translations are as good as their developed conscious mind. What can one expect from the translator who cannot even translate of the Guru's words? The Guru's flowing words are an expression of the state of conscious mind that is only possible with true Naam Simran. ***** Please ask yourself. What is 'baarunii kao ras sao', 'jab soor chakai', 'sabh hii balbhadra chitaaryo'? 'sri brijraaj samaaj mai baaj hane', 'gajraaj na kou bichaaryo'. Wine is available for anyone in shops these days. In the spiritual world 'Baarunii kao Ras sao' when braves swallow, all of them realize its humble force. Who contemplates Gajraaj when in ignorance they are busy creating hate against his wisdom? Balbir Singh
  23. GPS Jee, Please provide the original references that have convinced you.
  24. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal, Dear all and Singhfauja Jee, Please listen. Guru Naanak Dev Jee is singing in ecstasy. rogii brahmaa bisanu sarudraa rogii sagal sansaaraa. SGGS Ang 1153-12 Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are diseased; the whole world is diseased. May I ask if you belong to the world or you are living beyond? Hari pad chiini bhae se mukte gur kaa sabadu viichaaraa. By recognizing Hari padu they are liberated pondering Sabad of Gur. Perhaps you have recognized Hari Padu. Balbir Singh
