  6. No way!! damn, I'm at work at moment so can't watch it!!
  7. Haven't seen ur clips yet but remember seeing a documentary with these Americans who said they were being conned. They showed Sai Baba choking up a golden egg, lol, it was really funny. Indians are really paulai (innocent) but even some Americans were trapped.
  8. True that Church seems more orderly but I love the atmosphere in Gurdwaras and of course best part is that Guru Sahib is there. I love the fact that kirtan is sung at all times of the day, all days of the week as opposed to set hours on certain days. I love the encouraging nature of seva - anyone can participate, you don't have to be xyz. Beleive it or not I even love the sound of babies and children (although not when it get's out of hand!). Bascially I love the "informality" - the flow of sangat coming, going etc. ddit(h)ae sabhae thhaav nehee thudhh jaehiaa || I have seen all places, but none can compare to You.
  9. You guys don't take haldi in milk? Baba ji, I thought you especially would have known better..
  10. Amazing stuff. That's probably why people drink haldi in milk. What is curcumin though? is it jeera?
  11. Wow, that's amazing! Kirpa! Maybe just be cautious with the dog around - "kutte da parosa nai hunda" comes to mind...
  12. :awesome Wooohoooo!!! Listening to the Stockholm pgmme now, can't wait to listen to others Carry on uploading Scotty!
  13. Paaji, I'm pretty sure it wasn't mentioned. True it would have been good opportunity, I didn't think of it myself. Lucky, we've got the Northern contingent
  14. Iran's leader? ummm, maybe? but this sounds bit more plausible Viola odorata Linn. Banafsha/Violet. It is included in family Violaceae as a glabrous or pubescent perennial herb found in Kashmir and temperate western Himalayas often in mountains above 5000 ft. Leaves, roots and flowers are used in Unani medicine for bilious affections, lung troubles, cough, kidney diseases and liver affections. The herb keeps overall expectorant, diaphoretic, antipyretic and diuretic activities and as laxative in bilious affections. With other herbs useful in catarrhs and pulmonary affections. sounds like quite a funny alternative to cha though? then again I don't like green tea either...
  15. Interesting facts Kurtas... what is Banafsha? the story about ur nephew is really funny! great way to prove the point!
  16. Ummm, I actually assumed Kurtas did this electronically rather that crafting it himself and thought it was really funny. But I don't agree with the argument "When you have taken on the ceramic tile wale and others then please come back and let me know". That sort of implies that you think this is disrespectful but not in the league of other stuff currently happening. Obviously there should be maximum satkaar, not in relative terms. I agree with SSM that eating the apple which has Ek Ongkar on it would be disrespectful but in some instances I start to think where do you draw the line. Like I remember seeing letters that family from India would write and they used to put Ek Onkar on the top of the page. I thought this was great, you should remember God all the time and so what better way to start a letter? However, is that wrong also? because no doubt people would throw the letter away.
  17. I received this - will fit onto 1 CD!! and the paath isn't seem rushed either! Thanks panji for parts 1 & 2 also --------------- this is complete Sukhmani Sahib audio duration: 73 mins http://storeandserve.com/download/256795/0...r_Singh.rm.html Bhai Satwinder Singh is hazoori raagi of G. Sis Ganj Sahib Delhi.. he has v. sweet voice.. he's amazing in classical.. some what resembles wid Bhai Sarabjit Singh (not voice but style- semi classical)
  18. Awww!! Happy Birthday panji!! Hope Waheguru keeps his mehar on you, keeping you in Chardi Kala always sabhae eishhaa pooreeaa jaa paaeiaa agam apaaraa || All desires are fulfilled, when the Inaccessible and Infinite Lord is obtained. :HP:

  20. me tinks another Balbir Singh, he certainly didn't do raag y'day, but it was still amazing..
  21. Well it's official, y'day night was amazing. The Darbaar sahib was packed, and all sangat joined in the kirtan. Had never heard of Bhai Jasvinder Singh Nawanshar before, but they were gr8! and Bhai Taal Balbir Singh... Does anyone know of next programmes with Bhai Taal Balbir Singh or Bhai Jasvinder Singh?
  22. Tomorrow (28 May 2006) there is going to be Atam Ras Kirtan 7pm - 10pm at Park Avenue Gurdwara sahib. The kirtan darbar is to commerate Siri Guru Arjan Dev Ji's 400th Shaheedi purb. Among other kirtanees, Bhai Taar Babir Singh ji Darbar Sahib Hazoori Raji jatha and Bhai Anoop Singh Una Wale. :T:

  24. Got to listen to that katha. I wanted to download Sukhmani Sahib path onto CD from ektaone, but too much for 1 CD, so you need to split the mp3.... does anyone know of a online version that splits into 2 parts?
  25. Well I ain't that techie, so this question might be too basic for this section.....anyway, I want to burn a MP3 of Sukhmani Sahib path from ektaone.com onto CD. But it's not gonna fit right, so how can I split onto 2 CDs? Do I need special programme? Do I need a degree in computer science?
