  1. Just wondering is it any different from a normal kara? Like don't let it touch filthy stuff and wash it,etc?
  2. I heard that you should breath in and say Vahiguroo, then when you breath out say Vahiguroo 25 times. I don't really know why but i find that time really does fly past when you do this and it just seems to work.
  3. I think that's it's a very good idea (not that I know this person or anything ) especially for those who find it difficult to get work in industry, etc. This could allow them to live a householders life and still maintain their Khalsa image. However, I know that some people would prefer olden day methods when in a battle as opposed to modern day techniques. I'm sure that there'll be many different opinions on this particular project!
  4. ? And are there any Amrit Sanchaars which aren't associated to a jatha? Amrit Sanchaars in the UK i meant to say.
  5. Basically, my parents are Amritdhari and I want to take Amrit. However they won't let me because they think that i won't get married early. Also, they got really angry and said that if i take it then i have to move out and start working and living on my own, because they don't want to fund my education and my living forever. They said i can take it after i get married, then everyone is happy. What would you do? take it, or wait and see what happens.
  6. JAAP SAHIB: The Naad of Jaap Sahib rouses the soul and the self of the Being. Sahib means grace. Recite it when your position is endangered, or when your authoratative personality is weak. This Bani brings grace and greatness. It will also give you the ability, that whatever people say, you will automatically be able to compute what they are actually saying. And, once you are able to recite it correctly, it will give you the power, the Siddhi, that whatever you say, must happen. Man can direct God and God can direct man. Guru Gobind Singh recited Jaap Sahib so we won't become beggars at the doors of others. Sikhnet.com
  7. People are just getting excited and thinking they all know best! As Baba Thakur Singh Ji said 'In Akali Phoola Ji's time no one said anything about Dasam Granth, in Maharaha Ranjit Singh's time no one said anything about Dasam Granth, so why now?'

Also, if anyone knows anywhere to buy a good quality Dilruba from online, for about £170/180, please could you let me know. Thanks :TH:

  16. Thank you!!! I know the dilruba is easier to play but does it produce as good a sound quality as the sarangi??
