You my friends are creator of your own reality, using three tools of creation: Thought, word and Action. These are the tools given to us by GOD so we can experience physically what we all know conceptually (but don't seem to remember). Simran in Sikhism which is literally remembering your true self. The more you remember the truth about yourself and everyone else the more things makes sense. Hopefully this does not come across as some new age BS. If GOD is our target than we are in luck (we cant miss since it's everywhere) we can only slow our way to his realization by taking short cut (simran) or prolonging our realization (by keep the drama of life going).

EGO is the pseudo or illusionary self. We are all localized version of GOD. In our true state (GOD) all things are everything so you (ego) do not exist. Ego only true purpose is to create an experience that you can actually experience GOD (your true self) physcially. The other part of EGO is to keep the illusion of life's drama going that I am so and so'd son/daughter. I am a Sikh, Hindu, Muslim etc . I belong to a state, country. There are many illusions of an pseudo Ego like Need, disunity, failure, judgement, superiority................ In truth there is nothing you need outside of your self to feel complete. You are divine being and Sikhism uses NAAM simran to break the illusion of pseudo self, so you can experience your true self.

This taking life stuff is about free will of beings. We are not to revoke other being free will given to them by GOD just as we have ours. Killing can only be jusified in self defense or some just cause. Guru Nanak Dev ji refused Janeau but Guru Teg Bahadar ji gave his life for Hindus right to worship (free will of Hindus) even Guru Nanak house does'nt agree with principles of Hindus.

True religions always build bridges not walls between people. Guru Arjan Dev ji , just like Guru Ramdass ji were the chief force behind it. Mian Mir ji laid the foundation stone. Just like Sant Attar Singh ji laid foundation stone for Benaras Hindu University.

How is that different from Kosher or Halal, They are also doing it in the name of GOD.

Life is about conscious creation of an experience of divine. I do agree we don't need to have a Jain type of living but, this type of chicken, goat killing business leads to extreme inhumane type of animal slaughter business. If Nihangs want to sharpen or keep their martial skills may be they need to do what US armed forces do for training their soldiers, take up virtual reality war or special mission video games.

Couldn't agree more. The idea is to show co-passion not compassion that we are doing animals a favor by treating them right. Hasidsic Jews came to US after Holocoust. Looked around the existing synagouges were huge but empty. Their strategy was to invest in children, they started building their schools rather than big synagouges. They still live in a thight knit communties in New york boroughs. Wake up Sikhs , how many of us have to die in Ghullaghars and kids bullied in schools untill we get any sense. As per Nanaksar Maryada Mool Mantar is till "Nanak hosi Bi Sach" Baba Nand Singh Says How can you reach Whaeguru by leaving Satguru Nanak Out of Mool mantar. In Gurbani (Asa Di //, Sukhmani Sahib) Satguru is the medium between Whaeguru. Satguru is euologised in Gurbani as much as Whaeguru. Baba Nand Singh by far is the most sense than any other source.
