  1. That was just a huge assumption you just made. I was only asking what a third eye actually is and what it supposedly does. I had no idea it even existed prior to asking the question.
  2. Acapella Jatha as well - They just make me cry!
  3. Thank you! I will look into it.
  4. Hi, I understand what your saying. I'm not a baptised Sikh but you can't control what others do and say. Don't allow it to get the better of you. Continue doing what you believe is the right thing to do. I know it's a lot easier said than done but try your hardest to be the best Sikh you can be and become a role model for these people. I always look at baptised Sikhs in awe and aspire to be like that one day. So dont look at others who arent following the right path but be a role model for somebody like me. Because in all honesty, I need people like you. Stay strong!!
  5. Youtube always has some good ones. I like the audios available on Nirvair Khalsa Jatha's site too.
  6. Please do excuse me if i'm wrong in saying this, but if I were to close my eyes, i'd also see things. Isnt this just a case of you see what you want to see or put your mind to? I still dont understand the concept of the third eye (Sorry!!) and whether its ok to wear a third eye bracelet :blush2:
  7. In all honesty I didnt think much of it. To me, I always 'assumed that the 3rd eye was your conscience. I'm not sure if that makes sense as i'm finding it difficult to explain. So would it be bad to wear a third eye bracelet?
  8. I find it odd that there are a lot of non Sikhs commenting on this thread and not on other threads...made up people?
  9. I just wish it wasn't such a big issue in our community if we aren't married by our late 20's. Grrr
  10. Who are these 12 types of people?
  11. Wow, I dont think i've ever met a guy and thought you aren't rich enough for me. If it's money I need, I work for it myself.
  12. As bad as this sounds, that would actually deter me from joining the Gurdwara list. It's already nerve racking having to meet a stranger without having to meet the whole family too!
  13. Can someone please translate this? I always have issues understanding punjabi in English :blush2:
  14. Oh! I need to join this Gurdwara list but i'd be too nervous to. I couldn't handle meeting the whole family the first time I meet the guy.
  15. Stones? I'm confused. How would a stone die and the soul pass on? Or does the soul just get pulled out and another one replaces it?!
  16. Thank you Puneet. I'm at work at the moment so will definitely listen to it tonight. I love the Anand Sahib, I just never knew there was a 'full' version.
  17. Hi, Why dont you try waking up and going for a run/jog/walk. I think you need to start doing things in your spare time to stop you over thinking. Maybe start little craft projects. i'm not sure where youre from but in the UK we have places like Hobbycraft. It will keep your mind occupied. Maybe start going to the gym etc too. Over-thinking is horrible. A lot of us do it but everyone has different ways of handling it. You just need to find yours.
  18. Thank you! I really appreciate your response. So the short version can be recited at any time?
  19. Hmmm. To be honest I think a lot os us went through stuff when we were teenagers. Speaking from my experience, just do what your family are asking of you. Its honestly for the best. If they dont want you to have a phone for now, then don't. They'll eventually retract this decision sometime in the near future. Honestly speaking, its your parents that will always be there for you. Sod this guy.
  20. Hi, I feel exactly like you at the best of times. I honestly do feel that the only thing that helped me was Simran. I would and still try to listen (and join in) to simran in the mornings, at night and even whilst driving. Theres also some free apps you can download on your iPhone. I'd recommend Sikh Sangeet and Tuhi Tuhi. Another thing that helped me is actually reading some of the posts in the Sikh Sakhiyan sections of this site. I started from the end and started working my way backwards. There are some very inspiring/motivating posts on there
  21. WOW! I think this last thing just helped fix my own issues. THANK YOU!
  22. Wow...Is this a serious post? Why would you not just speak to your mum or friends about this? If you believe that your going through this pain because you've cut down on path etc then you obviously know what you need to do. Without sounding rude, do you not have many friends or people you can turn to and/or talk to?
