  1. is he asking you to be his offical fundraiser ??? some times in life you have to pay for your actions finacially or kurbani, has this issue been fully resolved now at leamington ??? i guess all that youth that went with him could easily give £50 each and you should accumlate a fair amount, or you could ask the leamington gurudwara for a donation, instead of them spending it on stocking up on the old booze and meat, if they still are !!!!
  2. Does anyone know what the situation is now ??? has the committee stopped all these activites ?? it would be good if some sort of hukamnama was passed against having so called wedding halls attached to gurudwarea as well
  3. what can you say other than read gurbani and try and understand that this is one big huma tuma mehal, we are all here to temporary it is unbelieveable, you had a chance to meet someone who was obviosuly a great brother to you, that meeting has finished now and you have to try and let go, it is difficult, no one can say it is easy, the connection does not just disappear, the memories don't just get erased, it takes time, gurbani paath and simran will help the mind realise the reality of time, and that what we see as 50 years is a mere second in the context of time. One way to look at it is, would your brother want you to be this unhappy, he would probably have wished you to be strong for your parents. Sometimes it is easy to forget the world we live in and cry for something that just isn't coming back. Seperation is hard for anyone, as sangat we can only do ardaas that maharaj helps you accept his bhana and gives you the strength to move on....
  4. There are some major annomalies being overlooked in this whole scenario, the beadbi happens every week at the southall park avenue gurudawara with glassi juncition opposite, seen plenty of beer cans ending up in the car park, also seen plenty of <admin-profanity filter activated> ends getting blown into the car park, the real question is, why do gurudwarea allow bollywood to film there, recently slough ramgarhia filmed a wedding, isn't that beadbi ??? SGPC allowed bollywood to film an ishnaan scene there isn't that beahbi ??? lets wake up and smell the coffee those who are protesting should also agree that bollywood films are anti sikh and not watch them full stop, i know plenty of youth who watch them and then complain when something like this happens, it is the responsiblity of the panth to pass a hukam nama to stop the degradtion of gurudwarea being used in this way !!!, including the most holiest place for the sikhs, oh when will we wake up and see how far we have sold our sikhi down the pan with our union with these so called film makers...
  5. seriously man, this is the problem with panjabism and sikhism, people think their one and the same and bollywood just emphaisises it more, a sad day for a place which supposedly spent 18 million pounds on a gurudwara, well thats one way of raising funds, letting out guru ghar premisises to bollywood argghhhhh.....
  6. there are thousands of akhand paaths being done every day in india, lines of them in some gurudwarea, the reason the benefit isn't what it should be is that not enough people even bother listening, never mind contemplating and embedding what guru jis says in our hearts.
  7. have we got a list of keertani and jathea, like the uk one did ??
  8. is ghabbar singh going to come ?? great kirtani from the south indian style
  9. I think you meant Bhai Jagpal Singh (Kanpur)
  10. As you have said currently he holds the posisition of Jathedar, so please show him the respect that posisition deserves. Some of the questions the come to mind are why didn't the others involved in the fracas as manji sahib get peshi and tanakah, does he really think allowing an amnesty on who those who were removed from the panth for the anti panthic actions is good idea, especially those that Guru Ji dismissed ???, also what is with all these RSS links ??? Topics which are live at the moment, need to be questioned one, it would be nice if you can do right up off your discussion for the sangat to read.
  11. please do not mock by creating apples and bread to show the holiest of holiest symbols, yes it may seem amusing but in reality what you are doing is nothing short of beadbi.
  12. I think you live in some different world, shardoolas give the titles, someone isn't born a sant so and so, I agreee there are blessed souls, but titles are given by chelea, a true sant won't claim this paadbee other wise they aren't a true sant, a contradicition in terms, your right those who do nindhiya of great souls will have to answer, but those who do some ustat (make someone a sant) will also pay, ousathath ni(n)dhaa dhooo bibarajith thajahu maan abhimaanaa || Those who ignore both praise and slander, who reject egotistical pride and conceit, ousathath ni(n)dhaa karae kiaa koee || How can anyone praise or slander anyone else? the true great souls have the state of below, ousathath ni(n)dhaa sabadh veechaar || I pay no attention to slander and praise; I contemplate the Word of the Shabad. again the comparison of doctor to a sant is not valid, world parai is nothing in comparsion to spirituality, and through spirituality the sould become pure and does not want for praise, titles, chelea, it only wants one thing, man preet charna kamlarea... anyways we do agree that their are souls which come from far away and have been blessed, you can call them what you like but these souls aren't recognised by titles or how much chleea they have, it is their jeevan, kamai, gursikhi which shines above everything, the problem lies with us, we want to put them on this paadvee to show that we are chleas of someone who is great.

  14. this is where I probably differ in opinion sant, gurmukh, bramh gyani, aren't labels we can give to individuals as we cannot recognise them, only those on a similar level or higher will know the state of these souls, the problem arises when shardolas make out this gursikh is a sant and put them on a pedastool, when the gursikh falls from this ladder, they are the first ones to remove is sant title, so who has the right to call anyone a sant ???? literal meaning isn't saint either, what is a saint ??? we need to go deeper into this subject and only then will we understand the sant, gurmukh, brahmn gyani states a gursikh can get to with Guru ji grace, these words are too commonly used now and people start to believe the literal meanings without even contemplating the whole line, there are those who use all the sant tuks to refer to there sant, which makes no sense, for me the only sant, gurmukh, brahmn gynai is Guru ji, as my state of spirituality is of a keera and how can i recognise a sant, gurmukh, brahmn gyani ????
  15. Personally I think it the word sant does not always mean saint, sahi puran sant is not referring to a saint, only Guru Ji is puran, humans are fallable, also the one thing i've never understood from those in favour of the word saint, how do you become a sant ????
