  1. aman jee, please dont misunderstand people who are either 'on the fence' or people who know that baba maan singh is innocent. i know there have been alot of arguements over this, but one point i gotta make, because even 'kurtas' ji called me a baba worshipper or follower or something but that isnt the case. there may be alot of baba worshipers of different babas, of pakandi babas, or wateva in the world but anyone who is in favour of baba isnt always his chela, many people genuinley belive that baba maan singh is innocent. standing up for justice for a singh isnt being their chela. Faith in the Guru is not sacrificed, try to understand this the guru told us not to judge, but millions of us are judging, until not i have seen alot of edited pictures and alot of facts which have been manipulated to make the baba look bad. especially the wealth and land that is accumulated, i think thats one of the biggest reasons many people just get dizzzy at seeing the amount of money that comes in , but we arent watching the money that goes out. thats just my veiw, but whatever our veiws, lets wait until the truth comes out, because it will, this has been oging on for too long, if he was really guilty something should have been done by now.
  2. when you are at a high spiritual level in you sikh way of life, and you are a dedicated to the gurus way of life and are a khalsa, then these things are really important , and then you would cook your own food or from the hands of gursikhs, you wouldnt touch tinned food or anything like that. there is a very deep understand behind this, but food produced in a factory where there is other stuff, is upto the person, in this day and age, hardly nothing is 'sucha' that comes onto shop shelves. its all about dicipline, and our priority first is to reach that level. well said pappi ji .......
  3. Fateh jio , does anyone know why the link at the end doesnt work? this is very good information
  4. VJKK VJKF, there an akhand jaap rhensbhai on 27th january at 7pm until i think 5am i thought this kinda event would atract lots of sangat, but i havent seen it advertised on the forum........................................where are all the glaswegians .............????
  5. This guy like many of us here in Punjab have understood the reality of the situation here. It is very easy to shout slogans(in the media or on net) for Khalistan and instigate people here from thousands of miles from AC rooms without actually feeling the heat of the events here. I even doubt if many of those shouting Khalistan slogans will actually come to Punjab even. you are right , alot of people make noise, BUT NOT ALL some people are really preparing themselves, normally the quieter ones,....... when you go to india you realise the difficulties ahead, its a whole different ball game.
  6. fateh all whats the point of arguing if none of us actually can descibe sahc kand, all i know is that to sit in the sat sangat , to meditate on the naam we can experience sach kand. all with gurus kirpa. also please note that we can really only 'experience' it, and not describe it. lets not argue, lets instead try to experience it, weve been told millions of times the method , lets put it to practice.........................
  7. Is that the finest comment you can come out with!!!?? How fun it is to some to pile into another faith!!! I am sure your proud of yourself!! i think hes jut teasing...........i think anyway, dont take offence..........
  8. its not only hindus who are polluting, its everyone, just cos thers more of them doesnt mean we gotta 'blame' them , also america wouldnt even aknowledge the global warming problem, and claimed there was insufficient evidance, they wouldnt even join the Kyoto Protocal which 169 counties joined to cut pollution, india n china are aknowlegde it and said they would eventually ocmmit to it. but so much for usa trying to be a world leader. (well that sustainable development module did come in handy ) also lets stop calling hindus stupid, lets look at ourselves and sort our own problems out, why shud we slag off people, sikhs are people who are following a path to 'God' , will God be happy to hear us call other humans which he equally manifests within to be called stupid? not aimed at anyone in particular but everyone including me , we shud try to implement into our lives not to jump and critizise, because we shouldnt be hating or disregarding other people from other faiths, and we shouldnt be protraying it on here.
  9. i think the guy who started the thread is right and has a good point. alot of people start of with just talking, then it goes one step further n then theyr friends n then the next step is when they planning on getting married lolllllll sometimes it starts of when groups of friend go to each others houses , which has been very common. i think we should keep our distance and keep alet our minds, because from what i have seen most of the youth have alot of weakness inside and give in to the mind. its partly our human nature but the more you talk to a bibi the more chance someone will get dragged into something, or vice versa. however this isnt the case for everyone!! and sometimes we need to educate people who come to us for help, so we cant ignore everyone, if its a bibi then help them but tell refer em to another sister , we dont need to stop talking to each other or ignore each other , lets just respect everyone and not argue.............
  10. VJKK VJKF!! Saad Sangat ji once again i need your help i need the translation and roman and page numberi n gurbani for the shabad jaisa satgur sunida , taisho hee mai deeth forgive me if i got it wrong, but i think thats how it goes.
  11. i think if you wear the full bana then the kirpan length does not matter in terms of people dont seem to be hassled or stopped by the police. but if we wear western clothes then they might question us or we can wear a smaller one.........................its wonderful to know that a gursikh in bana does not have to sacrifice anything, whereas no one else would ever ever be allowed to walk around with a kirpan......................isnt that just wonderful?
  12. sikhness jiiiiiiiiiii thank youuuuu sooooooooooo muchhhh
  13. Collecting hair that has fallen into the shower is unhygienic. ok ,now your just looking for any excuse the millions and millions of germs and bacteria we come into contact on our hands, and our body which we get from touching office doors at work, toilets, in peoples houses etc etc, is also unhygenic iv done it and nothings happened to me .................if you relaly want me to answer the question , then i suggest its burnt straight away. and wash your hands and dry them using a paper towel!!! lol
  14. you are a very rude person, and unless you have some particular disorder where your losing massive amounts of hair then you should see a doctor. burning the hair isnt a big issue , it would take maybe 2 minutes n would be the amount that could fit in a match box if you roll it together. so you wouldnt need to inform the neigbhors or carry out a fire saftey assesment. when you comb the hair you should do it over a towel , so you wont find it in your dyson, and the hair in the bath should be collected. i hope you will apologise to the sangat for ur rudeness when you understand the importance of respect to our hair.
  15. this kurtas guy seems not to know alot about the sikh way of life. he seems to have no respect , but alot of ego.............. im actually starting to think about his future, and his life in general, does it reflect the way he talks to others, or was it a bad upbringing which compels him to speak in such a negative way, if its neither then ifs ego........ if he does not respect sikhs then who will he learn from? will he receive the gurus kirpa? or is it back into the charasi lakh joons, or do you not belive in such a thing kurtas ji, you dont seem to belive in much? next you will say there is no point in having a kanga ......... or something crazy................. but back to the thread, the kesh is very important to sikhs and we need to learn to respect it. hair has many functions , they have a spiritual significance which not many people know about, they are also one of the 5 kakkars because God gives each person the amount of hair they require and we (the gurus told us) that we should live in the will of God. so as you can see the hair is reallly reallyl important to sikhs, this is why people feel that we shouldnt just throw it in the bin, they find it hard to do that especially since it forms a major part of our life. so many sikhs belive that we should burn it or put it in a river..................... this can be seen as a sign of respect than a ritual. to this day i havent heard from anyone who is confident in what to do.........or many people dont question these things.............so its not set in stone 'yet' but whatever we do , we shouldnt argue over it. and for the cheeky singhs who say why dont we burn nails and excrement, thats because they are not on the same level as kesh are, think about it please...............
  16. Vahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Vahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh saad sangat ji i know this may be far fetched but iv learnt my sa re ga ma etc on the vaja, n iv managed to learn a shabad from my bro by looking at what keys he presses and getiting the timing right. only problem is my vaja is really really naff and cheap (apparently we got ripped of in india by the music shop guy lol) where as my bros is a professional ragi vaja if u get me. anyway i was wondering if anyone wants to put up on the forum the keys to any shabad so us less fortunate who dont have kirtan lessons at the gurudwara can learn from home. it would be good if someone could tell me the keys for doing naam simran, iv tried making them myselves, but im not that aquainted to the vaja yet. Bhul chuk Di Kima
