  1. Nanak kathna karra saar
  2. dont get a cheap $20 one - buy cheap and you'll buy twice. Hiper make prolly the best mid range price level Power supplies.
  3. Neither. The Gurus didnt come for liberation they came to liberate. Guru Nanaks soul is aad sach jugaad sach hai bhi sach Nanak hosi bhi sach. Guru Nanak Dev Ji is simply the name given to body taken by God to bring back the true way so that it can be followed in Kaljug. The same light is in all Gurus and all Jeevan Mukt. Now Gursikhs that merge with the Guru are merged with while alive. Gurbani says, http://www.sikhitothemax.com/Page.asp?Sour...D=1602&Format=2 One who remains dead while yet alive, is saved, and saves others as well. Celebrate the Victory of the Lord; taking to His Sanctuary, the supreme status is obtained. I am a sacrifice to the feet of the True Guru. The Guru is the boat; through the Shabad of His Word, the terrifying world-ocean is crossed over. ||3|| ******** http://www.sikhitothemax.com/Page.asp?Sour...ID=129&Format=2 Embellished and immaculate is that place where the Saints gather together. He alone finds shelter, who has met the Perfect Guru. Nanak builds his house upon that site where there is no death, no birth, and no old age. ||4||6||76||
  4. i think i speak for everyone when i say
  5. dont do a system restore - it wont help I mean the temp of the actual cpu - nothing to do with the ambient temp in the case. it coud be a bunch of factors to be honest. Use your computer with the case open and watch the fan, if it seems to be working fine it might have been unseted when you 'shook it around' - get some thermal paste ( I would recommend arctic silver 5) , take off the fan and heatsink, clean off all the old paste and re attach with new paste. Check that the graphics card fan is also working well. If this fails then its prolly your power supply. THe power supply must one of the *most* important parts of a pc, but people tend to buy $20 supplies and complaind when their pc dies (im not saying you did this) - so if you do buy a new one, buy high quality. Vantec, seasonic or hiper, for example, all make good supplies. check out those forums i limked - people will prolly have more ideas. Also download CPU-Z (google it) - it has a voltage reading for the cpu (usually called cpu vcore). Watch the reading and see if it fluctuates. If it does, tell me by how much and I'll tell you if its your power supply.
  6. it might be the power supply, or it might be overheating. If the computer was working fine before it *might* be the graphics drivers, try changing back to the old ones. But it isnt common for new drivers to cause this type of instability. Personally I would think its either the power supply, cpu fan, or maybe the grahpics card fan that are at fault. google for motherboard monitor 5 and speedfan, check what temperatures they give you. Then you'll have to google for what temperatures are safe for your cpu - I dont know anything about pentium 4s that will help you. If your temps are too high, it might be time for a new fan. Personally I'd recommend the vapochill fan or arctic freezer 64. Try the forums at www.tomshardware.com and at www.overclockers.co.uk or anandtech.com
  7. omg thats brilliant =)
  8. LOGO #3 heres mine EDIT: made the colours a lil darker
  9. also to remind yourself that God is everywhere, in everything. You read Gurbani to get a concept of what God is through veechar etc - this is Brahm vidiya. Simran is the constant recollection of this understanding - which will inherently fade because of the 4 thieves, kalyjug, fear etc - you have to keep it in mind constantly and base every thought and action on it. Just like when you have a childhood crush you keep thinking of the girl/boy - in the same way you keep thinking of Maharaji.
  10. i agree, all these khands are actual realms, dharamraja, jamdoot etc are real. here are your quotes <<Pauree, Fifth Mehl: They take the noose in their hands, and go out at night to strangle others, but God knows everything, O mortal. They spy on other men's women, concealed in their hiding places. They break into well-protected places, and revel in sweet wine. But they shall come to regret their actions - they create their own karma. Azraa-eel, the Angel of Death, shall crush them like sesame seeds in the oil-press. ||27||>> <<Tilang, Fifth Mehl, First House: One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: The Lord infused His Light into the dust, and created the world, the universe. The sky, the earth, the trees, and the water - all are the Creation of the Lord. ||1|| O human being, whatever you can see with your eyes, shall perish. The world eats dead carcasses, living by neglect and greed. ||Pause|| Like a goblin, or a beast, they kill and eat the forbidden carcasses of meat. So control your urges, or else you will be seized by the Lord, and thrown into the tortures of hell. ||2|| Your benefactors, presents, companions, courts, lands and homes - when Azraa-eel, the Messenger of Death seizes you, what good will these be to you then? ||3|| The Pure Lord God knows your condition. O Nanak, recite your prayer to the holy people. ||4||1||>> They are literally hundreds of Gurbani quotes I could give you, but these following two I think I think are particularly relevant to your opinion. mMnY suriq hovY min buiD ] mMnY sgl Bvx kI suiD ] mMnY muih cotw nw Kwie ] mMnY jm kY swiQ n jwie ] AYsw nwmu inrMjnu hoie ] jy ko mMin jwxY min koie ]13] The faithful have intuitive awareness and intelligence. The faithful know about all worlds and realms. The faithful shall never be struck across the face. The faithful do not have to go with the Messenger of Death. Such is the Name of the Immaculate Lord. Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. ||13|| >> sorry I dunno how to make the Gurmukhi show up. gauVI cyqI mhlw 1 ] Avir pMc hm eyk jnw ikau rwKau Gr bwru mnw ] mwrih lUtih nIq nIq iksu AwgY krI pukwr jnw ]1] sRI rwm nwmw aucru mnw ] AwgY jm dlu ibKmu Gnw ]1] rhwau ] auswir mVolI rwKY duAwrw BIqir bYTI sw Dnw ] AMimRq kyl kry inq kwmix Avir lutyin su pMc jnw ]2] Fwih mVolI lUitAw dyhurw sw Dn pkVI eyk jnw ] jm fMfw gil sMglu piVAw Bwig gey sy pMc jnw ]3] kwmix loVY suienw rupw imqR luVyin su KwDwqw ] nwnk pwp kry iqn kwrix jwsI jmpuir bwDwqw ]4]2]14] Gauree Chaytee, First Mehl: There are five of them, but I am all alone. How can I protect my hearth and home, O my mind? They are beating and plundering me over and over again; unto whom can I complain? ||1|| Chant the Name of the Supreme Lord, O my mind. Otherwise, in the world hereafter, you will have to face the awesome and cruel army of Death. ||1||Pause|| God has erected the temple of the body; He has placed the nine doors, and the soul-bride sits within. She enjoys the sweet play again and again, while the five demons are plundering her. ||2|| In this way, the temple is being demolished; the body is being plundered, and the soul-bride, left all alone, is captured. Death strikes her down with his rod, the shackles are placed around her neck, and now the five have left. ||3|| The wife yearns for gold and silver, and her friends, the senses, yearn for good food. O Nanak, she commits sins for their sake; she shall go, bound and gagged, to the City of Death. ||4||2||14||>> This pretty musch explicitly differentiates between jamdoot and panj chor. No one is telling you to be afriad of them - why are you who does nitnem and is a Gursikh afraid of them. Sikhs are not meant to *aim* for a heaven or hell, our aim is not to be good or bad, as Sikhs our aim is to understand the Hukam and abide by it, keeping in mind that whatever God wills is good. Listen to your learned friends by all means, but my Guru begs to differ with your opinion.

    Actually Happen

<<how do i know if u actually typed ur message or it happened itself?>> LOL. seriously though - the sources that talk about Guruji are extremely diverse. There is proof of them visiting many places, Muslim scribes have written about them, official documents to Mughal Emperors regarding the Gurus exist, reports from Mughal spies, reports from western spectators, etc etc and then we have Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Written in many languages, has a consistent message, all written in raag, all stemmed from one word and one small paragraph and all interconnected. I would confidently say that no normal human being would ever have it in their capacity to write such a volume.
  13. what he said - Guru Granth Sahib Ji was given Gur Gaddi by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Other faiths' scriptures were not even written by the actual messengers, let alone given stature of Guru. Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji said that Guru Granth Sahib is a concious, living image of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The Bani is the Guru, the Guru is the Bani, just coz all we see is a book doesnt mean thats what Guru Granth Sahib Ji is, Guru Sahib is the manifest form of the Satguru.
  14. <<I know we can't understand the true meaning of this shabad completely because bhagat kabir ji says that whomever understands it, understands everything...>> with that attitude you've failed bvefore youve begun. use the shabad as a yardstick, and when one day you understand it you'll be a true Gursikh
  15. from wikipedia <<Brahma (written Brahmā in IAST transliteration) (Devanagari ब्रह्मा, pronounced as "brəhmα:") is the Hindu creator god, and one of the Trimurti, the others being Vishnu and Shiva. He must not be confused with the Supreme Cosmic Spirit of Hindu philosophy Brahman (the word stems of both are the same). Brahmā is identified with the Vedic deity Prajapati.>> First Guru Sahib refers to this Brahma, one of the Hindu Trinity. Second they refer to Akaal Purh as Brahma, ie that Akaal Purkh is the actual creator and not Brahma. It could also be the difference between Brahma and Brahman as quoted above - imo both views are valid. There are probably more though,,..with deeper understanding than mine.. This is a problem with translations...though your translation does specify 'creator' in the second bit, and states that the trimurti Brahma was created by another.
  16. ditto your argument is like saying Guru Tegh Bahadur isnt the Guru because of all the pakhandi gurus that were around at the time. those of you laughing and insulting the real sants, do it all you want. Read Kabir Jis bani and see what they say happens to nindaks of Akaal Prukhs beloved... you'll see for yourself after you die. most of your reactions go along the line of "omg, hes jathedar of [insert Gurdwara], he does things Ive never heard of before, people respect him, he must be a pakhandi, he doest know what Guru Sahib says blah blah bla" Nanak Aakhan Sabh Ko Aakhai Ik Dhoo Ik Siaana
  17. I also think we celebrate their birthdays in thanks for them coming at all; we love them; its an excuse to do a load of seva and a lot of paath. <<Does this show that other great Bhagats whose Baanee is sung, spoken and written and preserved by our Gurus in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are also our Gurus?>> There is only one Guru - all Bhagats that achieve the highest state blend into one with akaal. logically: Guru Granth Sahib is our Guru. Bhagat Bani is inside Guru Granth Sahib. So Bhagat Bani is our Guru too. As far as Guru Nanak Dev Ji being Bhai Lehna's Guru - yes, this just reinforces waht im saying. Bhai Lehna became Guru Angad Dev Ji, or Mahala 2. Even though the Bhagats had Gurdevs they became Bhramgiani - there is no distinction between Bhramgiani and God. It is said many times in Guru Granth Sahib that GOd and his Saints are one. In the same way, a Bhagat, if youre lucky enough to find one, can be your Gurudev which would make learning true Sikhi much much easier.
  18. the Guru is anbhav prakash eventually you'll be able to feel what the right thing to do is. Its alright to make mistakes so long as you leanr from them - as your avastha increases your instincts will become much more reliable.
  19. <<This does not mean just punjabi ones.>> Good post i dont really give a damn about my 'culture' that says i should marry only a jat, that says mixed race marriages are bad, that says its ok to drink alcohol and eat meat once in a while.
  20. which is exactly what ive been saying - amrit is the *easiest* way, but it is not the *only* way - which is what the original poster was asking. And ease is relative, just coz its the easiiest dont think its easy.
  21. THATS WHY THEY WANT TO GET MARRIED anyway...I think y'all scared her off >.> brilliant... *thats* what Sikhs should be known for...she asked for help and you practically called her a <admin-profanity filter activated>, then said she isnt good enough because shes white brilliant...and you complain when people say things against Sikhs pisht
