WJKK WJKF I heard it got something o do with Takat Hazur Sahib... not sure if its true but .... basically think it was the english who had a swipe at Mahraja Ranjit Singh Shere Panjab. They said that you pride yourself with having loads of money and a good enough army but your Gurdware are falling down ... Indicating that Hazur sahib was in poor repair ... there was meant to be some type of curse saying that who ever altered Takat Hazur Sahib there family line would cme to an end.... However you state that just because it was written down in a old book dose not make it true .... welll what makes the Storys of Chamkur and Guru Arjan Dev Ji's Saheedi the Saheedi and story of Baba Deep singh whom swang a 17 Kg Khanda in one hand and their head in the other.. WJKK WKJF Last week i was invited to a emmergancy meeting between the ravidass commities and the Gurdware. Although i was unable to attend due to other commitments i was told of what happened at the meeting. The meeting was held due to rumors that the eravidass community wanted to seperate the Bagat ravidass bani from the Guru Granth sahib and place the bagats bani with idols at their Bawans. Now the majority of Ravidass Bavans/Gurdware commitees attended however the two that did not were Bedford and Wolverhampton. The Ravidass commities explained that they had no plans to seperate the bani and would not do so however the two commites that did not turn up opposse this unity and say they will seperate the bani and place within the bavan and they will call the Guru the man who was involved in the Austria incident. Now some of you may think so what let them but you have realise thee is someone/thing big pulling strings etc at the back of this. 1. Those of you went to the march may have heard the peach from the ravidass community leader saying that they did not oppose the kirpan and the letter and petition for the ban was notyhing to do with the community although their name had been put on it. 2. the riots which happened after the Austria insident could have been controlled but were left tyo fuel out . Why Please think about the effects this will have on sikhs as a whole ... we dont need division. what will these people put down on the forms are they sikhs or hindus well the hindu barmin community dont see them as hindus so the majority of them put down sikhs this then causes division and confusion . even now people are confused the Austria incidents were labeled as Sikh Gurus !!!!!. wjkk wjkf Dont normally attend ( feel that rather than attend this i should attend those that the sangat know less about ie august and nov, jan) plus am always work but this year i went down, and happy and proud to say that i was supprised thought that due to the rain no- one turn up all it would be is a few singhs shouting khalsitan zindabad ( which i support) but really these slogans get nothing done. However when isaw the numbers i was shocked the number of sikhs with round paghs and the screen and organisation. really really well done.. Few things that could have been done better but hey it was good no better than that excellent. to those who ask why... well personally these marches and these one off events as you call them are needed, they bring us togeter it showed that our paarties , jathes can work together and work as one. The point to this one is to show the world we habvent forggoten , spread the word of hipocrasy and remember those that laid down their lives over our historical past. All you have to ask is do you agree if not help us do something about it send 1 mail to your local mp. then get every one to join up outside the embassy. then not just head off home but hand out the leaflets again... people going home from work. if its a nice day like last time then take bottles of orange juice and hand it out during the day get people to talk to you at places like trafalgar square. Would love to buy a ticket ... actually its not funny. its actuallly quite distressing to see how we have changed. i am supprised no body from Dudley has kicked off. i know a few people there .... i find out whose in charge ... good idea to get contact numbers for the organisers so we could portray our concerns peacefully and well if they dont listen, there is another way. Bhaji pls add the oste for all to see and see if you can get any contact numbers for the people i.e pardhan, secetray etc Also if they dont nind get some contact numbers for singhs / singhnia from the area which oppose this so we know who to contact. better to have one untited front than twenty single little fractions of two people with plax boards shouting outside the gurdwara. Best thing to do would be to organise a rainsbhai for the same date, on the low and then put posters up a few days before so they cannot cancel. they cannot stop you from doing Kirtan in the gurdwara.
