  1. only in your eyes , you are guilty of what you accuse others of ... does a lioness end up being weak in your eyes even though they are how the whole pride prospers , and how does she do that , looking after the young , whilst sourcing sustenance through her own physical prowess and intelligence ?
  2. HONESTLY STOP! Being a sikh woman is not a curse quite unlike you would have everyone believe , you cannot reinterpret history to suit a warped viewpoint ..... Sikh women are stronger than steel without having to whine and complain ..we do not deny our male siblings skills /history/roles in the panth but look to them as partners to build a stronger panth.
  3. I guess you wouldn't have kids either , read books, learn languages or do research because they are not GI Jane enough for you... there are loads of aspects to a sikh's life not just fighting . There is training, praying, teaching , learning etc etc
  4. firstly Sita would have married Ravan as he was the best archer in the syvambar but he got tricked by the lies of Ram Chander that his Kingdom was on fire and needed his attention... Then Ravan's sister proposed the idea that she would be married to Lakhsman who cut off her nose only after this did Rakash kidnapped Sita ...to teach Ram lesson but did he force himself on her ? NO so he was not the demon that people make him out to be . Did he disfigure Sita ? no again he did no hatya. Her husband didn't rescue her but sent Hanuman to do his dirty work , after she gets back Sita is the one who gets kicked out despite passing the tests her BIL and husband give her. Most of the Hindu Pantheon are shown to be guilty of huge ahankar and kaam they are just as prone to Maya as humans , often resorting to deceit to get their way, does this make anyone feel that deceit is being shown as acceptable as long as you can get away with it ...then blame the girl . How can anyone with a right thinking mind think any of these jokers are great role models let alone worthy of worship?
  5. For Harkiran , This retreat is just for leaders not AAM Kaurs so I reject it on the basis it undermines the other Kaurs as not being as important as these individual self-appointed Leaders . Just because I claim I am a leader does it make me so ? If they were so concerned they would create workshops to introduce Aam Kaurs to leadership roles and the necessary skills , create networks to support all lonely females in their sikhi etc , instead of what could become a haumai fest in the name of sikhi. Don't you think all people need langar ? in the jungles the SInghs were making langar , in the Homes the women were making langar NONE of them saw anything wrong in it as it was NECESSARY . If you are going to be so infantile to chuck a wobbly over cooking when it was totally interchangeable when needed (all my male relatives cook , fact it was my Dad who taught me how to make atta and rotian) , what hope have you to convince people you are a capable calm under fire person? The main fight ahead of sikh females is the increased sikhi illiteracy/apostacy of our sisters , we could devote time alongside family duties into doing gurbani vichar, authoring instructional texts, generating new history texts , inspirational art, caligraphy, poetry , becoming the linguists the panth need, the researchers . SIkhi needs a renaissance and diaspora females could be an essential key. we have access to schools which teach document/art preservation , how to restore artifacts and keep them in correct conditions . We could be the end of the marblisation of our history ... This week I was on the point of tears when I saw the insulting sight of a choola of Guru ji's family apparently Mata Gujri cooked on a choola made of white marble .... This the state of play , they are bulldozing our history away and replacing it with touristically friendly white marble monstrosities , rewriting texts to cast many doubts in people's minds , our language is maligned as coarse. Forget fighting people about small potatoes , let's try to be farsighted ...and see the bigger picture.
  6. When I was in India at my Nanake they were talking about how there was a RS place opening up an how they were charging for langar ...it's a total mockery of our institutions and the danger is we will be tarred with the same brush because of it by foreigners and non-sikhs.
  7. Give the man a prize ... same old techniques ...same old globalist agenda
  8. I've been AKj weddings back in the day (1980s) where there were no receptions, bidai was from GuruGhar , no daaj etc . They were usually done after listening to Rehnsbhai kirtan all night . It is possible and dare one say it necessary to ensure no female be considered a burden or her family feel anything less than equal to the groom's family

if some one has zero understanding of the mercy and grace of Akal Purakh do you really think they can be right about anything?
  10. whilst I agree that sikh women need to exchange ideas and refocus on sikhi , I do not think creating some kind of elitist group is going to be helpful .Our ancestors shared and did vichar in their lives , whilst doing the daily stuff and still had time to create sangat. either create an open network to support everyone or call it like it is , a 'pat ourselves on the back' gang. there is a saying in english 'self-praise is no recommendation' Guru ji says it much better 'whosoever calls themselves good, good never comes near'
  11. bro hipsters aren't doing cos of effect of Muslaman but steampunk trend which looks at the feel of Victorian/Edwardian era and mixes it up with a modern twist ...ALL goray sported some facial hair and very managed like the lamb chops, handle bar moustaches, goatees and beards .back then as they didn't want to be feminine ...then the 1900s and by the twenties everything was androgynous
  12. agree with Simran , see doctor , in meantime try to eat vitamin C, B, and zinc rich foods to support you and take vitamin B complex which will help with the anxiety and its effect on your nervous system.
  13. I was Ok with army cadets for my lads as they would get rifle training without any obligations , Jaspreet was a great shot ... hubby works for Texans so usually goes shooting at ranges when over at head office ...there are ways around it . Thinking of local archery club ... loads of hours of practice for little outlay
  14. They are told the lie that their original religion is muslim and that they were forced to be christian by slavery... it is sad
  15. I was incredulous that such a horrific crime could happen just like that on the spur , usually there is a history behind it That's all.
  16. police officer was unarmed , the type to give directions etc (friendly face) ... apparently an attempt was made in Belgium again to mow down people but was foiled . We know globalists are steering the planet to a major clash of civilisations to weaken all and sweep in with a one world government but there will be major major hardships before then. Turkey's Erdogan openly saying no one will be able to walk the streets safely in Europe..
  17. I'll send you the ticket , happy now? I never said this killing was justified none ever are

  19. planning to buy it as she is on heavy duty steroids as NSAID can't be used , they have caused bone density problems last time she ended up with two broken thumbs and a broken arm . I had to take her down for a hip xray , Waheguru Kirpa karan she doesn't have a fracture .. If I can get her off the Tramodol and start healing her arthritis then there I would be happy. A colleague used it and had good results so I thought I'd give it a go.
  20. yep but if you compare it to paying for radiation repairs drugs and chemo it's nothing ... besides it has magic bullet effect
