  1. plenty of Singhs and Singhnian can start here get strong and post katha kirtan doing online parchaar, bombarding Indian/World kids with Sikhi knowledge so they recognise them before they do circuits of different countries , we should make it like a set cycle one wave of parchaar after another supported by trustworthy parchaariks in India to slowly but surely erode the stone headed ignorance of the people . Besides we can have good ties to locate translators here of other languages on this small island rather than the massive land mass that is India. We need to subtitle EVERY old katha of Maskeen ji,Sant ji, Sant warym singh ji, Sant Isher singh jiand all the countless gursikh jewels in our panth. We also need to transcript audios and translate them too, what the fake committees have failed to do we can do because Guru ji is at our side always at each step.
  2. My question is do you intend to marry this girl? if not then why do this sh$tty deed ?? have you no control or conscience?
  3. cultural integration ? really are we talking about their definition i.e. sir mund ke , daroo shuroo etc or more like ours where we can happily function as gursikhs yet not be discriminated against ?
  4. 'att satt tirth' is 68 places of pilgrimage refers to those of Hindus where did you see 18 can you give pangti please ?
  5. from us , the new generation of parents and soon to be adults ...WE ARE THE FUTURE BECAUSE WE ARE THE AWAKE SIKHS
  6. I would stock these jerry cans if we are thinking such a need could arise again Or ideally build armoured filtration plants under ground at each Gurdwara to provide clean water for everyone
  7. surely it's less time-consuming and more positive to count those who we saw were reliable and give them support instead
  8. SORRY :::::::::::::SPOILER ALERT ::::::::::: I got taken back watching initially then relaxed when I saw what played out ... During partition he brings the guy over as his father as that aadmi calls him puttar , along with his son Pyare while in the refugee camp that man gets a haul in his heart and sends Bhagat ji to get sharbat , by the time he comes back that man has left this life , yes Bhagat ji takes the money out of his pocket but he uses it to do sanskar of the man then the balance he gives to gurmukh singh's widow and children keeps nothing himself .
  9. Divorce doesn't exist for Gursikhs because they are married to Akal Purakh not the other person per se, however they are attached to this individual as sangat for the journey through life to mission goal . However if that sangat is non-existent or has become kusangat surely one has a right to leave that pairing for one's own bhagti's sake and the sake of any children who could get turned away from Akal Purakh by that party?
  10. yes it has caused it because people have believed that old crock that we came from Hindus and the fact that for generations now the elders haven't let go of jaat paat ...because they haven't had amrit and believed wholeheartedly in its transformative power. Sikhi is not and never will be punjabi in culture it is above regional differences..thus sikhs have to world citizens , polymaths, polyglots, vidvan anything less is pure slave mentality .
  11. Maybe it's Waheguru ji's ishara to stop relying on others and listen to him and become pooran Gursikhs in our own right , self-reliant , totally owning our own mistakes rather than looking to blame others for our lack Bhagat Puran Singh ji didn't do what he did by expecting koi sant or baba will start the work , why do we ? see the need, fill the need. don't wait on others learn and share Sikhi ourselves in our homes in our neighbourhoods ... spread Waheguru's love and word
  12. well waheguru ne kirpa kita si last night and blessed me with my husband's company to watch the last showing despite my father-in-law and sister-in-law being at home and showing no inclination to join us . The opening of the movie was really well matched to the gurshabad selected pity they didn't complete the shabad , (I felt like this all through film as they were so good atmospheric renditions ) Bhagat ji is shown in his later years flashbacking to his childhood and major points in his life this method work well but if I didn't know he was born in a hindu pariwar I would have been thrown by his mother being referred to as Mehtab Kaur. It is clear from the very start that his main champion and teacher was his mother then when she decided to bring him to Gurdwara Sahib Guru ji. I agree it would have been really interesting to see his transformation from Hindu youth to Sikh man , shame we still have so much interference in showing the truth on screen. I welled up a few times both in the story of unna manni and also some of the shabads . As the story drew to a close it was a bit of an eye-opener at seeing Bhagat ji's real-life pictures and videos in the credits , from the film one gets the impression that Pyare was a lot younger when Bhagat ji travelled to apna ghar but it is clear that Pyare was a lot older .All in all I would say the film gave a good flavour of this wonderful Gursikh's bhagti, sewa, heart, and soul yet left you in a state of wonder and curiosity to find out more. As the film ended at 02:00 my head and heart was left with bani singing for hours a blessing indeed. My husband admitted it wasn't his choice of film but he too was appreciative of Bhagat ji's environmental stance and nishkam sewa. He was very intensely engaged when Bhagat ji protects a mentally retarded girl from her kidnapper and later when one of the adoptees of pingalwara is bullied by ordinary students and their teacher. So there was something there for people who are not aware of Bhagat ji's life. on my wishlist would be full videos of the gurbani shabads with subtitles in multiple languages to be released as a seperate DVD for those interested via exposure to the film
  13. the thing is gautama buddha kept his kesh too as all of the brahamgianis that have been ... the monks habit is red not orange spent much time with them last year in dharamshala and bir, although they do seem to progress towards non-attachment to some things they replace it to attachment to rituals such as prayer wheels and certain pictures statues.

veer ji if it according to the stars then it is negated for gursikhs as nothing has more effect on us than bani...
  15. also don't rush to claim title of sikh if you don't follow rehit if you don't want to be told you are doing wrong
  16. That is also achieveable if one looks at their inner jot ...
  17. Sikhi is about the inner jot, recognising it and rising about the physical level of thinking, acting. It doesn't matter what sexuality you have been given to work with in this life , you have the choice whether or not you want to action it . The more bhagti you do the less of drive there will be until there will be no kaam for anything not food, not drink, not relationships not anything. SIkhi is not meant to encourage kaami relationships which by definition homosexual relationships can only ever be
  18. the japanese have actually developed a helmet that pick up on that energy transmitted via kesh to transfer thought control of machinery ...so for doubters who need to see physical evidence there it is http://neurogadget.com/2011/01/30/honda-creates-brain-reading-driving-hat/708 trust Guru ji you will never go wrong
  19. Guru Gobind Singh ji did what was necessary and that alone : to help hindus to understand what was obscured from them by use of sanskrit the language of brahmins , they didn't teach sankrit to anyone except brahmins (can look into history of how westerners first tried to learn) as the corrupt practices of brahmins kept the ordinary folk in the darkness of superstition. Guru ji's aim was to break the bharams of the people; he showed the hidden and gave faisla in the light of gurmat i.e. waste of precious human time praising devte instead of Akal Purakh. Yes he did use their stories to showit is necessary i.e. Dharmic for good to face off evil and destroy it and to be fearless when doing so . He showed how khalsa would be in manner speech and deed . Akal Purak ki fauj need no other help or leader Guru ji is all in all
  20. agreed they also were punished if they heard from others by lead in ears , truly barbaric.
  21. really that was an invitation to debate ?...I guess not many people come round to your place on your invitations
  22. veer ji, if it is in sutluj valley then where did sant Baba Gurbachan Singh talk to shaheed about aun vale raj ...seems Punjab is the place
  23. Just watched this trailer of a project coming out in March I am conflicted ... on one hand it is in English, aimed at our young girls and also gives a role model in SIkhi to use for staying strong yet, why is it Mai Bhago looks like she has been to the salon, plucked eyebrows and has eyelashes which look like they are mascara-ed , she is also at least four shades lighter than the punjabi girl who is the protagonist? I am tired of the constant rebranding of how Sikh women should look to a eurocentric model ...and why was I not surprised to find it is a sikhnet movie
  24. I'm sorry but you do sound a bit condescending about desi sikhs of other jathey ...really you think that there are no Gursikhs with naam, equipoise apart from 3ho? honestly I would take a moment if I were you and think on it , desi sikhs would elect a panj and deal with it that way by warning, explaining and if the thing still persists then saada for pesh e.g. malaysian beadbhi as is the way of the Khalsa.
