The actual text says: "And whoever his sins are plenty then his greatest remedy is Jihad" So there you go, Jihad absolves all from sin and the bigger the sinner the more attractive Jihad would appear as a way to purify oneself, that's why all the bad boys are attracted to this type of thing. It took me a while but I think I now finally understand the mindset.
