  1. Ive had the same question in my mind for ages. I don't think many of us completely understand every line of each Bani we read. However, one day I asked a Singh who has done quite a bit of Vichaar of Gurbani and he said... "What we do not understand today, we might come to understand tommorow." I think someone posted that earlier.. in this thread. I believe it true. Though everything in this world takes effort, we cannot expect to wake up every morning and just skim through Gurbani. We have to read and contemplate over what Maharaj is trying to say. Reading Gurbani like a Parrot does not make you more spirtual. I believe it has SOME effect on you spirtually. However, really understanding and contemplating on Gurbani will benefit ANYONE in more ways than one. Waheguru Bull chaak maaaaf kaarnee. =))) Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru
  2. Beyond words =))) Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru True Gurmukhs with True blessings from Maharaj~ What blessed souls. Dhan Guru Dhan Guru Pyarey Dhan Dhan Satsangat Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Sahib jeeeo =)))))))) <3 much love.

  5. I might get totally bashed for this but I listen to loads of R & B and some hip hop. I listen to it for the lyrics and it really helps me get through daily struggles in life and I love the beats .. but I dont see how this makes me any less of a Sikh.. Some people are BEYONDDDD hardcore...

  10. Bahjee. You never know what she meant in that poem.. In poetry.. we can write one thing but mean a total different ideaa. =)) It was beautiiiiiiiiiful bhainjeee.
  11. In this world, trying to impres someone is nearly impossible. Do whatever you do in life only to impress Guru Ji. That is your main motive. Make him your inspiration to make yourself a better person or in your case Keep your hair. Its a big step for many Mona's to start keeping kesh but I mean that in itself is a step. You know Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj is your Father so do what you think will make him proud. I know you know the right decision Veerjee. Keep your precious hair, make your REAL mother and father proud of you. =)) I hope you make the right decision veerjee. I know you will =)) Much love Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

    Marriage

    oyeee dont be noseey pappi!!
  15. Waheguru! =)) Im a bit late replying to this question seeing as some of you have decided to flip the question around but Ive decided to give in my two cents anyways =)) You have to look at this from both perspectives. We dont know the details about every single Sikh's life and what they do when nobody is looking. However, I know a few people who trying so hard to come onto the path of Sikhi but are having difficulties. They still wear a kara, however the question of whether they keep kesh or not is both yes and no. However, their hearts are in the right place. We cant always be so judgmental to say that just because they don't keep kesh but wear a kara means they are a fraud. Everyone is on a different step on the spirtual staircase. Like I said, we don't know where everyone is in their sikhi. It really depends on each induvidual's situation! Waheguru! =))) Forgive me If I have offended anyone.

    Marriage

Well Veerjee, usually in the case of marriage we are just talking about how do you find a spouse? Do you base it on feelings or materialistic ideals?

    Marriage

Most people would dissagree with me on what I am about to say. Do you want to grow up and have a healthy relationship with your spouse? Most people would say yes. Love is a strong thing which is true can play very tricky games on one's mind. However, at the same time, as a marriage-seeker you should be looking at all aspects of the other person. First of all, I would say do not get married to someone because they are rich and have a good job and you would feel financially secure. Marriage is about become the embodiment of one soul on a path of spirtuality. Have feelings for that person but also understand that you both can support eachother in the future and a family. I am not married nor will I be getting married in the near future but what I have heard from people I know who just recently got married was that it is just a feeling in your soul. You just know that, that is the person you are meant to get married too. Bhainjee/Veerjee, Just follow your heart and Do Ardaas =)) Forgive me If I have offended anyone here. 18. Understanding- Heart Kaur Dark ally ways, dungeons and sinister thoughts, This is how I am, my heart is next to none. I cry out to you, hoping you will catch my screams, Seize my dreams in hold and make it as it seems. I do not know where to turn, everyone seems so mean, I only want your hand, why is that so much of need? Alone I sit, Alone I feel, Alone I am, you see, Never have I felt so friendless, You don’t know how it feels. Everywhere I look around, all I see are needs. Why do mine seem so big to you? All I do is plead. Sit with me in my tree, and hold me while I bleed. Wipe away my tears at night, and tell me I will be alright. My heart soars with joys and bliss, I plead you will never again dismiss. Hold me until I feel your kiss, I dread to ever feel this miss. Love I sit, Love I feel, Love I am, Love it is!
  19. Haha before you guys all go thinking its my dream or something hold up! It was just a general question!! =))
  20. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I have been thinking about this all day and its starting to drilll a hole in my head! What does the sangat think of a Singhnee/Singh becoming a Fashion Designer? A typical Fashion Designer will design dresses/skirts/shirts, etc. We all know that we would never wear revealing clothes or skirts, etc. So is it wrong to design things as such for fashion or the public if the fashion designer would not wear it? My question basically is. Is it wrong for a Gursikh to be designing revealing colthes if they do not preach others to wear it?.. I hope I made sence.. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
