He began his journey on the path of truth on the search for truth. He learned in libraries to discover the truth in spiritual knowledge. Bhai Sahib did his own research and compared one religion to another. At a young age, He figured that every religion was the same as it teaches goodness and well being for everyone. However, he wasnt satisfied and his thirst wasnt fulfilled. At his tenth birthday, Bhai Sahibs mom gave him a book about world religions and thats where he discovered Sikhism. He says the word Sikhism connects in his mind because he passed a Gurdwara on his way to school everyday in Jakarta. He learned about Sikhism and study deeply into the religion. Due to limited resources, the study on Sikhi was limited and he determined that the religion is normal compared to others. The question lingered in his mind about the true religion. He began on further research on the new religion he discovered. He searched for books on Sikhism from library to library and finally found a good resource and understood that Sikhism isnt the same as the other religions. By the age of 11, he learned about Sikhism from two Sikhs he met in Singapore. Bhai Wadbhag was referred by the Sikh men to learn more from the local Gurdwara where he started to learn from Granthis and Kirtaniye from the Gurdwara Sahib in Singapore. Finally, Bhai Sahib met the student of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and Sant Giani Gurbhachan Singh Bhindranwale Giani Vikar Singh. Bhai Wadbhag learned about the Nitnem Banis, Sikh Sakhis, Sants, and the Sikh Shaheeds. After learning about the Shaheeds, Bhai Wadbhag Singh was inspired to embrace Sikhi. http://dailysikhupdates.com/catholic-nihang-singh-incredible-journey-wadbhag-singh/

  6. HINDU GROUPS LAUNCH MASSIVE GHAR WAPSI FOR 70 LAKH SEHAJDHARI SIKHS The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)and other Hindu organisations have launched a massive campaign to bring 70 Lakh strong Sehajdhari Sikhs into Hinduism in a program they call Punjab Ghar Wapsi. The VHP stated they wanted the Sehajdhari Sikhs go identify with their origins and join Hinduism. The campaign is being launched from a village level to enlighten the Sehajdhari Sikhs by handing out pamphlets and telling them that Hinduism was always open for them. A group called Hindu Nyay Peeth is reported being active in distribution of pamphlets in villages of Ludhiana and Bathinda. The Indian Express reported: The interactions have started in rural Punjab and soon seminars will be held at the grassroot-level to tell Sehajdhari Sikhs that they are not different from Hindus. We have no problem with Sehajdharis remaining in Sikhism, if they get respect and rights but if not, they should turn towards their origin. There is no need to get forcefully converted to Christianity or Islam, said Sukhpal Singh, national executive member, VHP. The effort by the Hindu group comes after the SGPC welcomed the Rajya Sabha legislation barring Sehajdharis from voting in the SGPC elections. http://dailysikhupdates.com/hindu-groups-launch-massive-ghar-wapsi-70-lakh-sehajdhari-sikhs/

  8. EXCLUSIVE REPORT: How Students Prevented Punjabi …: EXCLUSIVE VIDEO REPORT : On Dumping Away Rare Documents in Punjabi University Sikh Siyasat Bureau Patiala: A serious matter has come into light where Punjabi University Patiala was trying to dump away rare documents, including some manuscripts. On March 15 some students noticed that many documents, books, rare newspapers and some manuscripts were being loaded to a truck. On inquiring the matter students came to know that the University had sold out these documents to a scrap collector as “waste- papers”. Ranjeet Singh one of the students who took lead in this issue told Sikh Siyasat News that the documents which were being taken out of the University as ‘waste-paper’ included copies of rare newspapers such as “Khalsa Samachaar” and Punjabi magazines like Nirguniara. It also included many books such as transliteration of Kuran and copies of Bible. “One of my friends informed me that a truck full of documents was being taken away from Dr. Ganda Singh Reference Library. He told me to check it myself. I went there to check and found that many rare documents were being loaded to the truck” said Jagtar Singh, a Ph. D student. When students asked University librarian to explain the move she said that the university was possessing original copies of all the documents and only duplicate copies were sold out as scrap. “Librarian m’aam told us that the library was in possession of duplicate copies of all these documents but when we asked her to show duplicate copies of some selected documents she could not produce anything”, said Ranjeet Singh. “She took away those documents and later refused to produce even those copies that we had selected from the heap of documents that were unloaded from truck of scrap collector” Ranjeet Singh added. A student shows copy of a rare Punjabi magazine torn by university Librarian Jagtar Singh told SSN that when he asked the Librarian to show duplicate copy of a particular issue of Nirguniara magazine, she snatched the magazine from his hands and tore it away. He also shows some torn parts of the magazine. The issue took serious turn and the librarian had to submit her resignation and the documents were offloaded from the truck. The university administration has formed a four member probe committee to probe the matter. Dr. Gurnam Singh, who is one of members of four member probe committee told SSN that the committee has directed the library staff to sort out the documents and prepare a list of all the documents, manuscript and books. A team of Sikh Siyasat News also visited the Punjabi University on March 15 evening and found that a large number of documents (that were being dumped away by the university) were related to 1984-85 period when the Indian state had unleashed it’s oppression to snub Sikh political movement in Punjab. Sources also told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that many of the documents that were being sold out as waste papers were part of ‘rare collection’ kept at Dr. Ganda Singh Reference Library. University Registrar Dr. Davinder Singh admitted that there were discrepancies on the party of university administration in selling out waste papers. Punjabi University vice-chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh did not respond to queries on this issue. One being asked to present his version of this issue, Dr. Jaspal Singh preferred to remain tight lipped. http://sikhsiyasat.net/2016/03/20/exclusive-report-students-prevented-punjabi-university-dumping-away-rare-documents/
  9. BREAKING: PATIALA UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN ATTEMPTS TO DESTROY RARE SIKH MANUSCRIPTS Students of Punjabi University Patiala today foiled an attempt by Librarian and other conspirators to sell/destroy rare handwritten manuscripts related to Sikhi. Gurbani Pothiya, Historic Literature and writings, handwritten manuscripts were being sold off in Crap (RADDI) by Librarian. When Students noticed it, they stopped the truck and took literature in their possession. Librarian SAROJ BALA said she has got atleast ONE COPY of every Book/Writing which was being Sold, but when the students demanded her to show the copies she could not. Instead she tore down one Magazine Nirguniara which students had recovered from truck. Now the SIKH STUDENTS are protesting against this conspiracy to destroy SIKH HISTORICAL BOOKS which were being stored in University. They have demanded suspension of Saroj Bala and filing a case against her and her co- conspirators and have demanded DIGITIZATION of all the Manuscripts which have been recovered and which are present in University LIbrary. pictures of torn manuscripts can be seen in link http://dailysikhupdates.com/breaking-patiala-university-librarian-attempts-to-destroy-rare-sikh-manuscripts/

  13. There are several ways to do Naam Jaap. Saint and Bhagats connect with the almighty by remembering Akal Purakh Wahe Guru. There is no best way to connect with God but useful tips come in handy when a person is just starting out. Bhai Sahib Bhai Vir Singh in his book Gurmukh Sikhiya provides some ways to make it easier to do Naam Jaap. Bhai Vir Singhs helpful advice comes from puratan Singhs whove reached the ultimate stage of Naam Jaap and felt Wahe Guru. 1) Rest is important Bhai Vir Singh recommends getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep everyday. He says if the body is rested only then you can spiritually be healthy enough to connect with Wahe Guru. 2) Healthy Diet Its important to have a simple and healthy diet. He states its important to not eat heavy foods and important to maintain a healthy diet. He recommends preventing constipation with a balanced diet. 3) Kesh Ishnaan twice a week. Bhai Vir Singh states that its very important to wash your hair at least once a week and recommends twice. 4) Satsang One must do Satsang with Sadh Sangat as Guru is always found among the Sangat. 5) Do Naam Jaap with Rasna, positive thoughts Naam simran will automatically start to happen once it gets absorbed in the mind and body. Rhythm and concentration will take it time but continuous sessions of naam jaap will cause it to be consistent and automatic. This is when Naam Maala will become day and night and you will be doing Naam Simran 24/7. 6) Stay away from bad influences Its important to stay away from negative influences and people. 7) Reaching higher stage A person will realize when he/she has reached an out of body stage. Once this stage is reached, its important to be careful when taking a leap into the next stage. To avoid feelings of hunger, its important to eat a good diet. 8) Prevent Imagination from running wild A person must not ponder and stay away from creating unnecessary imagination that can steer person away from Naam Simran. Love of Wahe Guru must always increase and desire to do more Naam has to continue. Once a person has achieved higher levels of Naam Jaap, its important to help others connect and obtain a higher lever of spirituality. Those who do Seva and help others connect with Wahe Guru are the ideal GurSikhs. These are the people who are blessed and bless others.
