  1. yes man i met loads of rastas that give enough respect every time i see them. they are also very good people, they are currently helping the police in Handsworth by volunteering to go out with the police on patrol and talk to the young "YOOTS" who "gone astray" and Bob Marleys tracks are timeless, they reach out to all communities in the world who have suffered giving hope and strength. I got this one reggae track i always listen to which goes.... "DON'T YOU CUT OFF YOUR DREADLOCKS" "DON'T YOU DO IT MY BROTHER, LET IT GO , LET IT GO" "DON'T YOU LOOK BACK, Let it GROW, LET IT GROW" and I can totally understand where they coming from, it was very touching .... it's true about modern reggae its been turned into gangsta style commercial crap preaching, materialism, degrading women, hatred, and violence towards minorities like homosexuals, saying they should be burned in their homes and shot dead. its a big shame man.
  2. Yes I agree who has given Nidar his platform, notoriety and legnedary status, none other then the righteous do-goooders who don't have the guts to even say who they are, but setup random blogs advertising his great? and rare martial skills?. It's clear that anyone who comes across these sites and wants to rebel a bit or go against the norm is just more attracted towards him even more, anyone who doesnt get on with teh mainstream Sikhs tends to divert towards the other way. but i think these people from this blog pwalla have done a much worse paap and the worst thing is they think they are doing Gurus Service. I have known Satnam Singh for a long time, and he has had many personal and family problems, which have meant him going into depression and having suicidal thoughts. His problems became so bad that he retreated from everyone and got into a very dark way. I have had to bring him home from hospital twice and have had to drive to his house early in the morning on countless occasions, when he thinks he will do something bad. he has stayed with me on various occasions where we have done paath throughout the night and done ardaas for him I personally wont give up anyone ,because Guru Nanak Said that we must be willing to jump in the swamp to take out the dirty bowl. slowly over the past few years i have been trying to help Satnam and to help him get better from his depression, slowly encouraging him to come to a paath here and there, to do some seva at the gurdwara and then eventually getting him to come to Kirtan and then coming to amritvela aswell. All these things have really helped him a lot, and he has slowly gotten better and he says that paath brings him peace and tranquility. he used to be the most happiest guy i know. but what these people have done is just a major paap on someone who is trying to better themselves, and make a difference in their life. niddar is the last thing in satnam singhs life to worry him or make him go the wrong way, and to put his pictures up on a website like that has really upset him and where he was slowly coming back into sangat , he has now totally backed off, and has lost faith in the sangat. he doesn't even care about nihang singhs or nidar or akj or taksal for that matter, he don't even care for Sikhs much now. he is just trying to get on with his life, his counseling is really helping him and he is trying to set himself for his life. So what he doesn't want to be an amritaree at least let him get on with his life. Today when i was talking to him he said that at the meeting they told him to cut his hair as he is disgrace of a Sikh, so they would take his pics off the web, this is the way we treat one of our fallen BROTHERS !!! I'm ashamed of these so called do-gooders. Satnam is in a very bad way, if these people have a problem with NIddar singh why don't they just sort it out with him why pick on anyone else for no reason at all. what has satnam got to do with Niddar singh. and they don't even have the decency or courage to say who they are and hide like cowards behind their false names and keyboards. thats not the way real MEN do it this blogspotting is turning into a joke ... i think these people who have upset satnam and treated him in this way better be careful in future, and better make sure that they live very pristeen lives , because if they ever do make a mistake then be sure that you will be treated in the same way that you have treated others. victimizing people doesn't help anyone. its really easy to go around pointing the finger and labeling everyone, hes a pappi, hes a chorr. but we need to understand where that person has been and why they behave in the way they do. fareeda jeh too akal lateef, kaley likh na lekh fareeda, if you know yourself to be wise, then do not write black marks on others apney girivaan meh sir neeva kar dekh look within yourself and hold your head low in humbleness taran
  3. wicked post akali totally agree, things seem to be getting more violent and more hatred.... I have some muslim friends and they are seeign the same thign in their youth, too many people are coming up to their youth showing them material abotu massacres and attrocities comitted against their people, pump up the young innocent people, and then..... ...... give them no SOLUTION, or POSITIVE ACTION and the youth end up feeling helpless about the situation, which leads to these youngster gettign angry and frustrated.... angry and frustrated with their parents, for not caring, their own people, other people, their country etc and it all leads to hatred.... I know the khalistani lot are tryign to make people aware, but they need to be able to channel this resulting energy into positive action, ratehr then destructive. what it boils down to is ... IT IS IMPORTANT to know what happened, but rather then channel that energy into destructive actions, this energy should be channeled into positive actions. burning a flag, walkign through london shouting doesn not do anythign fro anyone... i remember someone sayign recently that everyone in the world knwos of the holacaust of the JEWS, how many flags did they burn? how many marches did tehy have? how many suicide bombers did they use? they educated the world through art, film, documentaries all creative channels of communication. I have been goign to india fro the past ten years and have met soem people who suffered greatly, lost family members, had their honour taken away from them, who still have scars for the rest fo their life AND YOU KNWO WHAT? they aint angry, they don't hate, they are in CHARDI KLAA, and say our defiance is to be strong in our Sikhi and to pass this on to our Children, WE WERE NOT DEFEATED, we survived and they each do somethign important in their community to help each other. one borrow his jeep to the sangat when tehy need it, they provide houses and food fro each other and have an immense love for people, and life and so welcoming and loving. I don't knwo where all the Khalistanis in canada and england get all their hatred from, Punjab doesnt need GUNS now !! , Punjab Needs teachers, scientists, EDUCATION, DRUG REHABILITATION, rebuilding, SUPPORT most of all. I have met some people who suffered from 1984 and teh aftermath and they said they don't understand when they see pictures of sikhs in uk burning india flags, they dont understand whats going on, they are tryign to get on with their lives, rebuild and move on, they say we still hold the scars on our midns and souls, we are nto stuck in that moment, we must move on and look to the future now. My own family in India actually shared our house with a hindu family, half and half, many hindu families helped their Sikh neighbours and hid them in the backlash, and this friendship continues today. i agree that WE SHOULd NEVER FORGET, but also dont forget 1699, don't forget TODAY and especially TOMORROW. btw - excuse the dyslexic spelling -------------------------------------- taran www.sarblohwarriors.co.uk
  4. this is somethign to think about carefully...... One of teh main things to remember is that the devi, devte where not gods and godesses as we say in english but more like angels, i think callign them gods and godesses really confuses the arrangement. another thing is these angels were powers sent to the world and created by god to look after it. The devi devte were not hindu, as in their time "sat yug, treta yug, etc" there was no such religion or label as far as I know. therefore they are not hindu deities, they are angels or avtars from indian history, who are worshiped by modern day hindus. countless references to indian mythology can be found in guru Granth Sahib ji, you shouldnt dismiss them as being hindu gods and godesses as we can learn a lot from their good deeds and also from their mistakes. therefore we do beleive in krishna, shiva, prehlaad, dhru, vishni etc , BUT we do not worship them or hold them in reverence as the hindus do. We learn from the examples given about the devte in guru Granth Sahib ji and Dassam Granth Sahib Ji. When the devi devte needed power or help they would have to pray and meditate, to who where they praying and meditating? To the one God. so therefore we worship the one god who even the devi devte could find no end to. I hope this kind of makes sense
  5. I don't think the guru will ever come back. because he never left in the first place. Guru Gobind Singh ji said that "Khalsa mero roop hai khaas, Khalsa me ho karo nivaas" so he dwells withint the khalsa physically and within the guru granth sahib ji spiritually. so in essence has never left us. you can find references to prohpecy of Guru Nanak at this web link http://www.hinduweb.org/home/sikh/rverma/ksgill.html it details various prohpecies throughout ancient indian texts. I am not sure of the autheniticity so dont start cursing me, but its interesting reading if you looking for prophecies. I think the mehdi you are referrign to is from kalki avtar, from dasam granth. Guru Gobind Singh ji wrote about the previous avtars of vishnu in CHaubis Avtar (24 incarnations) 23 are said to have come and gone, but teh last one known as kalki is said to have not incarnated on earth yet and will come to end Kalyug and destroy evil. He eventually succumbs to his own EGO and is finally killed by Midhi avtar, which will be a small ant that crawls into his ear. to read the full script go to www.sridasam.org or <banned site filter activated>/dasamgranth/ Taran
  6. I agree with prem you can't just curse people because they have a diferent viewpoint to you. Sunny Hundal has a right to his viewpoint you can't just slate him as an enemy of the sikhs, what you guna do pull out a fatwa on him. If you are comfortable with your beleifs and not insecure then you can listen to other peoples opinions without getting angry, frustrated or violent about it or feel as though you are being attacked. discussion is what promotes knowledge and understanding and also you have to learn to respect other peoples beleifs and opinions even though you may think they are wrong. When you can show this kind of maturity then people will have more respect for what you are saying. Taran
  7. yes i know man !! we working as fast as we can.... we still workign on 5 year old machines because all the kanjoos punjabis won't donate us any money, because we wont do ardaas in front of all their mates so everyone knows about their "Gupt Seva" - (only kidding ) you have to check this out its TOO FUNNY...... http://www.sikhtoons.com/Sarbloh.html it's Genius..... its a mick take about the BBC. taran
  8. U GUYS !!!!! does anyone actually ever read the article. ???? @ the article is about how the Asian Network twisted a a story and made something out of nothing. They were saying that the Sarbloh Warriors game was about "Sikh Killing Muslims" when anyone who knows a daka of Historical fact knows is a load of crap. The Sikhs never fought against any religion just against certain tyrants. For example emperor Akbar had a great relationship with the Sikh Gurus, and respected all faiths, but his son Jehangir was a proper tyrant and converted and killed many people. This history is well documented. The fight of the Sikh Forces was not against all Mughals but just the few people in Power who sought to finish off the Sikhs for their own political economic gain. And please don't forget that there were Muslims who fought alongside the Guru's. sunny hundal was on the Radio Show saying that games do not incite people to commit crimes, as he says he plays grand theft auto all the time and has never blown someone's head off and jacked their car !! HAHAHAHHA ... We appreciated his support. And yes KURTAS is 100% correct also the woman who ran the initial article was a white woman so stop slagging off Muslims at the BBC Asian Network. A lot of Muslims have supported the project so i don't want to hear anyone making this into a Sikh-Muslim thing because that is so LAME and typical dumb-pindufied-gang mentality behaviour. PS - the Sonia Deol thing was not Sonia Deols fault, someone came on air and said something stupid before she could cut it from broadcast, it was not her fault - the bichaaree got slated for someone else's behaviour. BUMBA CLAAAT! Keep it simple RASTAA! http://www.Sarblohwarriors.co.uk taran

What will become of the Sikhs ? … The challenges are going to be tough, there are going to be many adventures…. so are you ready? Because soon it will be upto YOU!!! Taranjit Singh Project Manager www.sarblohwarriors.co.uk "When they take up a musket in hand at the time of battle, they come to the field fiercely springing and roaring like lions and immediately split many a breast and make they blood of many others spill in the dust. You may say that this musket was invented by these dogs (Sikhs). though guns are possessed in large numbers by others, yet nobody knows them better. these bad-tempered people discharge hundreds of bullets on the enemy on the right and left and in front and on the back. If you disbelieve in what I say, enquire from the brave warriors who will tell you more than what I have said and would have nothing but praise for their art of war. The witness of my statement are those thirsty thousand heroes who fought with them." Qazi Noor Mohammad, Jang Namah, 1765

  11. i can understand what your saying i went to a gurdwara a few years back to raise money fro people in kosovo, one comitte guy said its ok go ahead, and then as we were abotu to go on, this other comittee guy ran up and stopped us, teh comittee guy wouldnt even let us on the stage, yet now hes up fro a big fundign drive for the new gurdwara what i don't understand is why does teh sangat keep givign them money, then the comittees act like its their money , its teh sangats money and it shoudl benefit teh sangat..... the money and teh gurdwara is there to help the sikh sangat, not to buy massive buildings that are empty all week and just for the multiple wedding akahnd paaths. theres no point, for 3 percent of what they spend on a new building they could employ a full time youth worker and also pay fro a yearlong series of activities. you are better off sendign your money to earthquake disaster apeal or to help the aged or save teh children fund...... and better of doing soemthign useful yourself, in your own time, because teh comitees aint interested unless its guna big them up..... taran
  12. was havign a discussion soemwhere on the net and the following information is what i have coem across during my work research, you might find interesting. ------------------------------ Being an avid games player from a young age, i beleive the educational value of games is underestimated. as an example the famous game called ROME TOTAL WAR, from the total war series is a war strategy simulation program, it is a great game and is currently beign used by war historians and war strategists to recreate and simulate historical battles. It's an amazing visual tool it has also been featured on a tv series called time commanders. You choose your faction and then you live through a campaign of trying to increase your influence and territory either throguh allegiances or conquering. ont he battelfield you can command upto 2000 soldiers from diferent countries, factions, skills, elephants horses, chariots, archers, germanian beserkers, greek falxmen, gauls, selucids, cataphracts, ... you name it...... Many young people who have played the game have, without knowing it, amassed an amazingly high understanding of roman culture, politics, geography, warfare and strategy, they also know the roman history the diferent families and factions, enemies in europe at the time, the greatest battles fought and lost, etc and all this from playing a game they enjoy, kids who hated history at school, who couldn't stand reading textbooks are now experts on most aspects of Roman history. Not to mention that many of them have an amazing amount of knowledge, be it in theory, of war strategy and battle planning, how to use archers and cavalry to your advantage. i've played against some of them online and they are damn good. this reminds me of when Guru Gobind Singh ji used to carry out mock battle games with his friends as a young boy. I also work for Birmingham Museum & Art gallery and even they have opened up to the idea of modern 3d games games being used as educational tools and are allowing me to pursue developing a history game as part of my work there, based on the museum layout and also the collections in the museum I also met a few students at birmingham university who were developing games engines into educational simulation teaching tools, as part of their phd's. So I believe that games have a LOT more influence and impact then people seem to think. Taran
  13. yes loads of people have been asking there will be a main female character and also other female characters that you will come across within the game. in one of the levels you will be able to play as one of the female characters taran
  14. ok sorry for the delays.... been really busy.... I have added some screenshots and more info about the game on our website www.sarblohwarriors.co.uk the new website will launch soon. It will be good, so please be patient. the stuff on the holding page should keep you going for now. if you have any other questions which you think would be useful for the faq, then just send them to me. ohh... and sorry for the reeeaally long webpage Taran

  16. A game engine is the core software component of a video game. It typically handles graphical rendering and other necessary technology, but might also handle additional tasks such as game AI and collision detection between game objects, among other things. The most common element that a game engine provides is graphics rendering facilities (2D or 3D). Another common attribute of game engines is platform abstraction, so the game can run in various platforms (game consoles, Microsoft Windows) with little, if any, changes in the game source code. games, such as Quake III Arena and Epic Games's 1998 Unreal were designed with this approach in mind, with the engine and content developed separately. The licensing of such technology has proved to be a useful auxiliary revenue stream for some game developers, as a single license for a high-end commercial game engine can range from US$10,000 to $750,000 and the number of licensees reaching several tens of companies (for the Unreal engine). At the very least, reusable engines make developing game sequels much easier and faster, a valuable advantage in the competitive computer game industry. The continued refinement of game engines has allowed a strong separation between rendering, scripting, artwork, and level design. It is now common (as of 2003), for example, for a typical game development team to be composed of artists and programmers in an 4:1 ratio you have most probably already played a game made with teh unreal engien but didnt even know it, so basically they just bought a license for the engine and developed their own content. here are a list of games made with the unreal engine...... * Advent Rising — (2005) GlyphX Inc. * America's Army v1.0 ~ v2.3 — (2002) U.S. Army (The MOVES Institute) * America's Army : Rise of Soldier — (2005) Secret Level * Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood — (2005) Gearbox Software * Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30 — (2005) Gearbox Software * Combat: Task Force 121 — (2005) Direct Action Games * Dead Man's Hand — (2004) Human Head Studios * Desert Thunder — (2003) Brainbox Games * Deus Ex: Invisible War — (2003) Ion Storm * Devastation — (2003) Digitalo Studios * Exteel — (2005) NC Soft * Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban — (2004) KnowWonder Digital Mediaworks * Land of the Dead : Road to Flidder's Green — (2005) Brainbox Games * Lineage II — (2004) NC Soft * Magic: The Gathering Battlegrounds — (2003) Atari * MagnaCarta : Tears of Blood — (2005) * Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam — (2004) Brainbox Games * Men of Valor — (2004) 2015, Inc. * Postal² — (2003) Running With Scissors, Inc. * Sephiroth — Imazic Entertainment * Shadow Ops: Red Mercury — (2004) Zombie * Star Wars: Republic Commando — (2005) LucasArts * SWAT 4 — (2005) Irrational Games * Thief: Deadly Shadows — (2004) Ion Storm * Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 (PS2 Version, GC Version) — (2005) * Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 : Black Arrow (Xbox Only) — Ubisoft * Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield — (2003) Ubisoft o Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword — (2004) Ubisoft o Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Iron Wrath — (2005) Ubisoft * Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell — (2003) Ubisoft * Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow — (2004) Ubisoft * Unreal II: The Awakening — (2003) Legend Entertainment * Unreal Tournament 2003 — (2002) Digital Extremes * Unreal Championship — (2002) Digital Extremes * XIII — (2003) Ubisoft there are hundreds of game engines out there, each one has its own strengths and weaknesses, dependign on what you are looking for. taran
  17. what it means is taht essentially we are not creatign a game totally from scratch as it woudl take years and years and some complex programming to create a whole new game engine system. so wat we are goign to do is get an existing game engine which comes with an editor, built in AI and dynamics system ...... and just create new content for it. for instance there is a game engine called unreal from a company called epic. a great engine, so other comnpanies will buy a license for the engine and then just create their own content for it. eg - spilnter cell - is basically a mod of the unreal engine, so its the same engine but it uses the unreal as a base startoff. there are many engines out there - Counter strike is a mod of the halflife engine. so in a way we are creating a brand new game but because we cant afford the thousands of dollars license it will be released for free and therefore will come under a MOD - or modification of an existing engine.
  18. good input.... there will plenty of narrative and also HISTORY information..... we are trying our best to make the game as authentic as possible so we are putting a lot of research into it. a lot of information about expect a lot of quotes and gurbani extracts , in between levels.... and also some great music, tadee vaaraa, kirtan. things are going really well at the moment, we are lookign for anyone who wants to donate their dasvandh monthly towards the project, so if you know of anyone who wants to put their dasvandh to good educational use put them in touch. we already have a few gursikhs supporting the projects and we just need a few more. our website will be launching soon, hopefully later this month. we are working flat out at the moment, and theres still loads more to do but its all looking wicked !!! taran
  19. OK, so we got our domain name, and we now have a holding page...... http://www.sarblohwarriors.co.uk ... watch this SPACE ... !! our website will launch in march
  20. TERA - I appreciate your concerns, :TH: dont worry the game is not just about killing - we want people to have an appreciation for the pratan singhs and what they went through fro us and also learn about sikhi this is our primary goal. but not about religion specifically, liek who are the ten gurus but what it means to be a sikh, how hard was it for the old time singhs and singhnia and what sikhi meant to them, and how lucky we are today and how we take everythign fro granted, because in them days you had to fight for what you beleived in. we will teach sikhi, through the character, the behaviour and the spirit of the singhs and singhnia of the darkest period of our history. the fighting and stuff is just hook, the whole game is a hook, to communicate with the youth. plus its loads of FUN TOO!!! hehehhehehehe SABRE SWORD - OH SAD KE JAMAAA !! MAKHNAAA!!! Rome total war is my favourite game of all time, absolutely love it and medeival total war and the orignal SHOGUN. love these games proper battle strategy and warfare. I can actually mod Rome total war, make my own battalians and edit all the player models.... .....and i planned on making a singh total war, but im busy workign on this game at the moment so i might just knock out a couple of khalsa armies for it as soon as i get some spare time....... so i will get onto that as soon as i get some spare time.... ROME TOTAL WAR - ZINDABAAAD!!!!!! love it man!!!! if you havent played this game then as a sikh its your duty to get it and learn how to fight battles strategically, same way guru gobind singh ji, when young lad, used to carry out mock battles with his freinds. wicked init..... .playing games as part of your nitnem....... i LOVE BEING A SINGH !!!!!! Taran
  21. there will be some free roaming, but there will be distinctive mission goals..... there will be a great storyline, where we will follow A main character on his journeys. a bit like prince of persia..... (but more violent.) on another note heres some comedy images i did for www.sikhstudent.org. did you hear about EA games releasing a KABADDI game... YEAHHHH!!!! bluddy indians, they can't read a normal AtoZ remember pingu the annoying cartoon on tv, well heres the punjabi BLING version looks a bit like dalher "fatboy" mehndi
  22. aman is right i knwo which photo it is...... and it is not Maharajah Ranjit singh there is a portrait of maharajah Ranjit Singh drawn by emily eden , which is probably closest you will get to what he looked like, in later tsages of life I beleive there is a great statue of maharajah ranjit singh in amritsar. ----------------------- for the game we will be using the unreal engine.... ---------------- The game will be a 3rd person perspective, sword fighting, action adventure. it is DEFINATELY not a game for children !!!..... but for young adults......so expect some major carnage !!! Taran
  23. all will be revealed very soon.........
  24. UDHAM - good stuff i look forward to hearing from you. quest4akal - we currently have 4 investors who have supported us so far, but we desperately need more funding. because we are a non profit group working on a product that will be released free, we are looking for donations from anyone. The more donations we get the quicker we can produce materials and move onto creating new stuff. We are looking for a considerable amount of money to produce this game. we are going to be setting up a website for the computer game, so if you know anyone who wants to donate towards our projects, please put them in touch. we tend to give thousands to gurdwaras to build larger and larger gurdwaras, but I think the money is better spent on "building" SIKHS, creating media that will encourage the youth and inspire them. the large buildings are empty and the gurdwara comittees get more and more greedy, buyign more and more property without investing in the future of the youngsters who will one day have to run these gurdwaras. so I woudl urge everyone to donate their dasvandh into productive projects that are actively helping the youth, and forget these large empty buildings. -------------------------------- -------------------------------- our website will be ready very SOON........ watch out for it......
  25. udham i have sent u a private message with my yahoo and msn id so get in touch. the old sites are down at the moment as we are working on a new one. we are looking for people at the moment, but unfortunately we don't have the time to train people up, as we are so busy working on various projects. If you can display a proficiency in modelling, texturing, animation, concept art or level design then we have some places to be filled. We all work voluntarily and give from our free time. A few of our team are not even sikhs but gorey friends of mine in the industry. my old portfolio is here www.bmagdns.co.uk/taran this doesnt most of the sikhi stuff on it as its my old work portfolio ...but post some of your work on the forum ........ woudl love to see your stuff....
