  1. In a lot of these old photos of harmandir sahib theres always sadhoos and those bold men with lots of malas, yogis? I think harmandir sahib attracted a lot more of a diverse sangat in the old days.
  2. All I got is that it's a photo taken in the 19th century of sikh armoury at Lahore fort.
  3. Yes I am aware of that. But it doesnt mean she wasnt sikh! Anoop kaur is a sikh woman's name.
  4. Yh most the people that work in these places are immigrants and mostly illegal immigrants.
  5. thats because they saw it as a holy duty and thats how they often justified it, they actually glorified the barbarity like in taimurs diary he calls it a holy war in the name of allah and slayed as many hindus as he could he gives a very detailed account of his invasion of india from what i remember reading he even slaughtered the hindus hiding in the mosque in delhi. but i dont think there is any mughal cruelty documented my a common man or hindu poet of the time. Guru Nanak Dev Jis Babur bani is the only account written by a non muslim.
  6. woman called Anoop Kaur in Anadpur sahib at the same time as Guru Gobind Singh ji has more chances of being a Sikh woman than hindu tbh ...
  7. true, but either way even if it wasn't a real person these kind of sikhs must of existed even back then for guru ji to write about it. most the characters have hindus names, apart from 2 or 3 which have sikhs female names
  8. neither does gurbani say they were sikh, sikhi didnt even exist when they existed. Gurbani mentions bhai lalo but does not mention him as a sikh, does that mean he was not a sikh then? so you saying draupati was a sikh? lol Ok then. like i said if a hindu remembers god like they did, they too will receive mukti. whats so hard to understand about that? bhagat namdev ji was thrown out of the mandir and dragged to the back because he was of a low caste, why would he walk into the mandir in the first place if he wasn't a hindu? And why did god turn the mandir around so that it faced bhagat namdev? hindu is a diverse belief system, not all hindus believe in devte or vedas. hinduism is so diverse that it even includes atheism. What your talking about is classical orthodox hinduism not all hindus adhere to that. couple of 100 yrs ago the word hindu didn't even exist, so what were they then? hindu is a culture, a collection of a very diverse belief system. im honestly getting really bored talking about this .... I think we've both put our points forward and made clear what we believe original poster can think for himself now
  9. where can i see that online just found a scanned copy on archive.org titled "prem sumarag testimony of a sanatan sikh" by wh mcleod is that the correct one?
  10. jack the ripper is another one who went around murdering whores in east london! i reckon he was a priest or a "religious" man but was in conflict with his sexual urges and was a regular customer! and this inner conflict resulted in him murdering the whores he visited. just a theory lol but stuff like this happens london has a fascinating past lol
  11. https://www.inkedmag.com/culture/sex-during-the-black-plague https://www.historyextra.com/period/medieval/sin-city-thievery-prostitution-and-murder-in-medieval-london/
  12. theres even the story of bhai joga of peshawar who on his way from peshawar to anandpur sahib to meet guru ji, was tempted to visit a brothel. i think history was mostly written by kings and the elite who wanted to paint a rosy image of themselves and society around them. there are hardly any sources that actually describe the barbarity the muslims carried out on indians even though they were there for 1000s yrs, and instead they left behind massive structures like the taj for us to remember them by. same with british cruelty in india. its only in recent times that people have started digging deep and getting clues from even the tiniest of things
  13. its true though, we tend to look at the people of the past and think they were saints! whats more odd is that inns and pubs full of whores and drunks were normally right next to churches! even st pauls cathedral was surrounded by brothels and all that stuff, which destroys the idea of people of the past being more religious and devout. shakespears writing is full of drunks, prostitutes and everything else that he witnessed. van goghs painting night cafe is perfect example, its a grim looking cafe with a couple of drunks slouched on the table and some prostitutes having a drink at the back. he used to visit the cafe himself and then did a painting of it. in charitriopakhyan one of the characters is a sikh woman called anoop kaur a resident of anandpur sahib, so even 300 yrs ago in holy cities like anandpur sahib there were women of sikh families that behaved like her. the people of the past were just as bad, or even worse and far more open than the present.
  14. just watch in on there then or bbc iplayer online
  15. do you remember when some girl in a club went down on 30 men so someone could buy her a drink! if you think about it people with loose morals have always been around. i was thinking about it the other days. in this country back in the victorian days and even older there used to be brothels everywhere with drunk people having sex in the middle of the streets or under bridges. in fact brothels and sex in the open was more out there and in your face back then than it is now. brothels are more hidden now. like look at the painting "gin street" its no different to what you see on the streets on the weekends. east london was full of this stuff even the parts of london that were destroyed in the great fire were the parts with the commoners, brothels, pimps, gambling etc i believe the fire of london was set up by the elite! to tidy londons image up a bit. while commoners openly engaged in this behavior, the elite did the same but in closed doors. part of river thames runs through a town called maidenhead, near to where i live and on the edge of the river in maidenhead are massive houses where all the wh0res used to live. the elite Londoners then used to sail out of london to maidenhead and do all there dirty secrets there. that way no one knew what they got up to! these massive houses in maidenhead still exist today in maidenhead, only difference is they are worth millions today with rich people living in them.
  16. yh its similar to my pind, my nanke pind is a bit different as its mostly a ravidassia pind so there are not that many singhs in my mums pind, in fact iv only seen one proper singh in my mums entire pind! and its big pind with over 9000 people. my dads pind
  17. not really though because at the time i didn't mind (that sounds disgusting but its true) what women do now is, they play around with men get touchy feely and then years later they decide they didnt like (just how i now regret them doing that) and they decide to call it sexual harassment. though there was this middle aged gay arab man at the same place who actually used to touch boys at work, he did the same with me when i was in the toilets, the faggot walked past me and stuck his arm out and touched my back, i told him to fvck off. i was actually gnna go hr but then i thought hes just a faggot. he even had a wife! just how a while back in the news there was that british teen who had group sex with multiple greek men and then later accused them of raping her, it turned out she wasnt raped but agreed to have sex with all of them.
  18. well it didn't ruin my life i was a different person back then and didn't mind , but if someone did that to me now i wouldn't be very happy but to think that only men use women for sex and fun is wrong because women do the same with men.
  19. LMAO haha i corrected it now that was funny
  20. Is there any significance to doing simran with a mala? I do it with a mala, with every bead say waheguru. If I dont use mala I cant concentrate. Is it just a habit that iv got my self into? Another thing about 10mins into doing it my body starts feeling weaker/lighter it feels like my limbs are shaking, like a slight vibration. To stop that I lean myself against a wall or sofa. Another thing dont know why but my ears start popping! A bit like when your in a aeroplane! I hear these pops. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Does anyone else have these things happen as well.
  21. Many women chose to be casual partners. You know women do sleep around out of their own choice and there is a thing called friends with benefits. Women use men for their pen!s as well. The current fad with women is them using the aubergine emoji on social media which basically represents a male private part When I was mona I had female colleagues slapping my bum and grabbing my fronts for a laugh. Its it like the old days anymore, women are more sexually open now than ever before. In fact from my experience women are more sexually open in conversations than men are, men tend to have sexual conversations amongst themselves, while from my experience a lot of women dont care whose around.
  22. Evil. The people that work in these places must be psychopaths.
