  1. Lol I work in retail so you get all sorts of characters there
  2. Some singhs "vandalized" the giddha bhangra statues at the amritsar heritage street leading to jallianwala Bagh and harmandir sahib. Those statues shouldn't be there in the first place. Every time I been there the statues really annoyed me and looked very out of place. They have a huge statue of maharaja ranjit singh which is fine. Its further down anyway. Sadly from what iv read the singhs have been arrested.
  3. They starting to look like those really weird wacky Japanese, Korean kids + creepy
  4. Things are changing here man you can see lots of young singhs in the uk these days. Older generation knew very little about sikhi themselves and knew more about superstions. Its thanks to people like bhai jagraj singh that so many people got into sikhi As for paghs, older generations mostly wear the patiala style pagh while younger singhs wear dhumalla, which these days is the most popular style here. Boys from families that are from Kenya still wear Kenyan style mostly, but majority of then trim their dharis in fact it's rare to see one with a full dhari, which defeats the whole purpose!
  5. Most of them have paghs with goatee beards or chin strap beards very rare to see one with a full dhari. Most popular style of dastar in uk among young singhs now is dhumalla, gol dastar
  6. This movie had nothing to do with sikhi. Sunny deol played the stereotypical delhi/mumbai sikh. women running around in half naked clothes. A young singh from my dads pind was involved in the blowing up of the cinema screen in delhi where this movie was played! Nxt day delhi police came to our pind and blocked all the routes and they arrested the singh. There were so many police in the pind and they were there for a couple of days. Singh was taken to tihar jail in delhi for around 8 yrs. He came out and his family really struggled getting him married and no one wanted their daughter married to him, eventually he got married to a girl from a really poor family like desperately poor. Hes happy now and settled down has 3 kids.
  7. First video I saw of him was his debate with dawah man where the muslim bangs on about rhetorical device?
  8. Doaba is the worst sikhi is disappearing in doaba the fastest. It's actually rare to see a proper singh in doaba. But then again doaba has always been a hindu and ravidassia majority region. I saw a lot of singhs in majha though
  9. LOL I Go punjab every year for a month. I go out and about there talk to the locals etc so that's how I know all the weird stuff lol The freshy hair cutting shops here in the uk do that stuff too! They do eyebrow threading, waxing etc lol I used to get my haircut at one of those freshly places and they used to have one of those massage beds in the room nxt door.
  10. Bhai jagraj singh videos completely changed my life
  11. Men beautify themselves more than the women in punjab. Women there dont really go beauty parlours in the pinds, the men do. They also have full body hair removals aswell they wax their chests, arms and legs at the beauty parlour. My cousin gets that done. I wouldn't be surprised if they get their butts and balls waxed at the beauty parlour. They also get massages done there aswell everything basically
  12. Haha yes I'm gonna copy and paste it there lol

  14. Yh the whole thing just looks like another money making scheme for the pastors.
  15. The guy who runs the hair cut shop in my nanke pind has blonde hair down to his shoulders with a parting in the middle.
  16. Anyone sat on a camel? I did in india and nearly fell off while it was getting up lol when they get up they rock forwards and backwards. Iv only seen one camel in pubjab and that was in malwa near bhatinda.
  17. i think the pastors are seen as babas that you can go to for advise, these pastor like like celebs with their chresy smiles slapped on every wall. sikh/hindu babas are still the most popular option though. my aunties in punjab have babas and matas that they go to for advise. if they feel their family has someones evil eye, or someones done a magic spell, or if there is a wedding they ask which date is right. my mami took my cousins kundli to a mata and asked her what the right date and time is for the marriage, the mata lives in a massive koti. people go to babas and matas for everything. these pastors haven't reached the same level of popularity as these babas and matas yet. i really wouldn't be surprised if my mami goes to a pastor for advice i know a middle aged man from phagwara which is where radhe maa was based and he said half of phagwara has slept with her, this was before she became famous. she had a reputation for being the local wh0re in phagwara and used to have men of all ages going in and out of her house all the time. this is like 20 yrs ago when she was a young woman and before she became a Mata.
  18. watch this. this is what most punjabi churches are like punjabi taape and giddha for jesus you can see why these churches attract massive crowds! they offer entertainment, exorcisms, giddha and boliyan etc people love this stuff there. deras offer the same package as well you can see how the church has shaped itself to attract punjabi crowds, it gives them Christianity but dont take away the punjabism, they incorporate it
  19. lol thats funny yh in brown areas they always have a brown person with them mostly south indian looking. i think its to show us that brown people can be christians too lol. around here its mostly old black ladies that go around knocking on people doors. back in school we had two punjab guys in my year both their families had converted to Christianity. ones surname was kalsi and one was dutt. i know a gujarati girl who belonged to a gujarati carpenter caste and she was dating a gujarati guy from the same caste but he had converted to Christianity, she told me that it wasnt a problem for her or her family because he was still gujarati! she called him a hindu christian! think it works differently for different ethnicity goan christians are ok i think they mainly catholics but its the evangicals that are the one sthat are trying to convert everyone. indian society is very very complex, one of the most complex societies in the world, very thin line between, culture, religion, tradition, belief, politics, superstitions. its very complex. every invader has been confused by indian society, none of them had ever seen anything like it. its difficult to "dissect" it, probably impossible if that makes sense.
  20. lots of punjabis in the west become christians too. the channel glory tv is full of christian converts that once were sikhs, hindus and muslims too. the big fat woman pammi the presenter was a sikh before
