  1. yh we dnt even get females married into the neighboring pind even they are considered siblings lol. i think polygamy existed in some poorer families though especially in what is haryana today with the jaat people
  2. yh i think it might be because of money and also might be a cultural thing since most khatri communities come from muslim areas.
  3. I think marrying cousins and relatives might be a Kshatriya thing? a lot of north indians have had odd sexual practices in the past including some jatts and bhamans but then again even south indians and srilankans marry their cousins
  4. is that the same as landi jeep? with the roof off iv seen a few of those around here! they do look nice iv even seen pakis driving around in those black and yellow tampoos lol it looked hilarious on the roundabout
  5. iv seen a couple of singhs riding around on those around here lol theres actually this older singh that drives around on one of those scooters you know the ones older guys have in punjab one of those not sure what they call it here lol
  6. Ok i actually like wearing my chequered parne with slightly curled mucha ? lol
  7. ? So true curled mucha, massive kara, kurta pyjama with high top trainers or those fake timberland boots is a common site at nagar kirtans or every sunday in multicultural areas. and the sunglasses i 4got the sun glasses
  8. well majority of them in Delhi have migrated from afghanistan/pakistan during the partition, so im not sure if they still do it. khatris are a group which mostly are indigenous to what is today pakistan, so it is likely thay have been doing it for centuries. im not sure if other kshatriya groups practice this or not.
  9. They do marry their cousins though! which really is not gd, that weakens genetics which is the last thing our kaum needs. but then again its their culture, you can't really tell som1 that their culture is not right, but at the same time its not gnna be gd in the long run.
  10. i think siklighar sikhs historically used to make shastars and sarbloh objects i think i read somewhere they had been doing that since the time of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. it would be great if that warrior spirit is adopted by them again Singhs at Hazur sahib and very fiery and brave!
  11. yh they've become sloppy now. But i think its only like a dormant stage. some ethnicities just have that inherited rebellious spirit. with the right leader again and when pushed to the edge im pretty sure they will get that spirit back. It was only in the 80s and 90s when kharkus were patrolling the punjab countryside and blowing politicians and policemen up. mazbhi sikhs are really strong hard working people. They definitely can be made into shers. A lot of singhs in the west have been working with the siklighar sikhs for a long time now and improving their lives, they just need to be made bahadur now. would be nice to see them in neela dummala and chola. i also give money to british sikh council who help the sikligars
  12. yh its silly isn't it how they just dumped their warrior tradition that was something to cherish they should of kept their shastr vidiya tradition. it would of been great if they kept that practice alive. Kshatriyas/khatris have taken on the roles of the Vaishyas, while jatts have throughout sikh history taken on the role of the Kshatriyas and have been the backbone of sikh militancy. during the time of the gurus there were many amazing warriors of Rajput/Kshatriya background, but during the 18th century Jatts took over the sikh militancy with soorme like Nawab Kapur Singh Virk and later the Sikh misl leaders who were mostly Jatts. And then recently once again it was Jatts who became kharkus.
  13. Katha of Bhagat Kabir jis bani. Really clear audio considering its very old. there are many more videos on the youtube channel.
  14. yh they dnt really seem to like the whole warrior aspect of sikhi. i remember watching a video of bhai jagraj from bos and he said he met sikhs in delhi who were saying they only believe in the 1st 5 gurus because they were peaceful while the last 5 gurus used violence so they dont follow them. Its mainly rural sikhs that become kharkus and fight for the kaum. But they are good businessmen. They are intelligent and well spoken. both aspects are needed in the kaum ...
  15. I'd say jagga's and jaitere are more popular among rural sikhs than mandirs though. Everyone has a ancestral jagga in the fields somewhere. But sikhs who live in the shahr or near the bhaman/arora mohallas tend to go mandirs and do karva chauth etc. as for bhappa sikhs most of them go mandirs and their wives keep karva chauth and wear sindoor, speak hindi etc.
  16. some cheap fish&chips or kebab places have similar looking signs hanging inside the window with flashing lights lol
  17. lmao same here i use my mobile all the time and when i went on my laptop the banner was huge looks much worse on a laptop screen.
  18. Was just watching a BOS video and bhai Jagraj Singh briefly narrated the story of how Sikhs during the time of Guru Arjan Dev Ji were digging at Amrtisar and as they kept on digging they discovered a meditating yogi underground. The Sikhs woke him up from his samadhi and he asked them if this is the age of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Sikhs said yes its the age of Guru Nanak Dev ji but Guru Ji has left and that Guru Ram Das Ji is here now. The yogi then took amrit from Guru Ram Das ji and passed away, got mukti. So the yogi had been meditating on Waheguru ji and waiting for Guru Nanak Dev Ji for 1000s of years and when he took amrit from Guru sahib he got mukti and left his body. This is the first time i heard this sakhi It is a beautiful sakhi anyone know more about it? I read how when Baba Deep Singh Ji met Guru Gobind Singh Ji someone from sangat said something like how young Baba ji is, Guru Gobind Singh ji then said that Baba Deep Singh Ji is not young and that he is 1000s and 1000s of years old and has been gone through life after life searching for him and that he has finally met him.
  19. But your average punjabi is still cautious of muslims despite muslims only making around 1% of punjabis population. Dargahs are accossiated with black magic and fake babeh. If someone from the pind visits dargahs and muslim babeh everyone is a bit cautious of that person. One of my mami accused my other mami of going to a dargah and resulted in a furious exchange of words over the phone lol. But it's as if the whole muslim culture is really being pushed onto punjabis through the media with these singers etc. Sikhs in punjab really do not know what it's like living with Muslim because punjab has one of the smallest population of muslims in india. Hindus on the other hand have been living with rapidly growing muslim population for a very long time.
  20. Yh iv noticed that! the last few yrs more and more muslim characters are appearing in punjabi movies. The 1st ardaas movie was really gd, but when I saw the trailer for the 2nd ardaas movie it looked crap and all multicultural. My guess is because punjabi movies are family movies they are popular among Pakistanis aswell so the directors are trying to cash more money in in western countries.
  21. They really are a backwards barbaric culture. So much weight and sin on the earth because of them people, but after all it is kalyugs reign. Iv been warned about them since I was a child! They also do a lot of black magic kala illm so I dnt eat from them. All my cousins are typical punjabis, more punjabi than sikh but even they stay away from muslims.
  22. the kidnapping of women from minority communities happens in most muslim countries. Hindu girls are kidnapped in sindh, pakistan all the time. egyption copts have been treated like sh1t by muslims for a very long time. Even the muslim prophet muhammed had a egyption coptic slave girl called mary they do it so allah will reward them and also its a direct attack on the minority communities and to dishonor them.
  23. i needed that lol i recently started slacking in my simran and nitnem
